6:07 This is literally the only reason i buy the pro model, because it has real optical zoom, i take photos with the telephoto lens A LOT, meaning at 3x zoom and they do NOT look good at all with digital zoom, i hate digital zoom and never use it, so yes the regular 14 not having a telephoto lens actually is a deal breaker for anyone who doesn't like digital zoom.
I totally concur with this and I also look at things through my iPhone due to my eye sight. I have an iPhone 11 and this new macro function on the 14 pro would really help out a lot. Plus the fact that I can zoom in on stuff wherever I am. This is a no brainer for me.

i went with the regular 14 after thinking about going for the pro. coming from a shitty cheap android, i would say that i'm super happy with the regular 14. the 48 mp on the pro is nice, but price different really throws me off and i'll probabaly never use the pro camera features.
The only difference will be in the cinematic mode and potrait mode . Because in the pro varient it uses lidar sensor to recognise depth but in the non-pro version it uses just the software.... I think the iphone 14 is actually iphone 13 resaled with a software feature from 14 pro max 💀 as we all know the action mode is a software feature and iphone 13 is actually capable of getting that feature from software update and that will work smoothly. Apple literally limited that feature just for marketing iphone 14 .. anyway the action mode can be brought to 11, 12 , 13 .. every mid range android could do that..
Im on 6s, im waiting for my 14 i found for 780€ online, most youtubers have been scaring me telling the 14 doesn't have anything interesting compared to the 14 pro like bruh, all the pro version has is: - Slightly better camera unless you enable the mode that will take you 5 gigs of storage per photo - 120hz (but you barely notice its absence on the regular 14 when you see how smooth are the IOS animations) which allows you to see your wallpaper on screen lock... okay ?

After watching this video I got an iPhone 14, but was a little disappointed by the lack of optical zoom. When you zoom in the photos lose quality a lot, especially in a room with not much natural light. I'll try it for a bit and then decide if it's worth it to upgrade to the 14 Pro, as I kind of miss the x10 zoom I had in my previous phone (not apple)

I got iphone 14 Pro instead of iphone 14 Pro Max because it is just the right size just like a pont and shoot, sometimes of most case I do leave my a7s and p950 behind but doesn't mean it can replace my professional rigs completely. Most people doesn't have the knowledge of advance photography, they just want to snap and shoot, that's it. For that, just go for regular iPhone 14 model. More that just good enough.

Q: which one of the last iphones is better for taking pictures of cards (rectangular and square items, for example on my Samsung S8 the edges get distorted a bit whether in a wide angle mode or when zoomed in, I use metaphorical cards for work and also for jewelry photos it can be important to avoid aberration). and also what about stabilization and panning? which one nicer and smoother in an natural way and without a jerky feel to panning.
I agree - it seems a bit much. Our eyes certainly can't see that much clarity and photographers who like to take artistic shots might actually like the regular 14. Also, the pro seemed to over expose too much for my liking.

i’m thinking about upgrading from my iphone xs to a new one but i have a budget, is iphone 13 pro in 2024 still a good option even tho i feel like i could miss the dynamic island, i believe that they’re going to add new features to it and i don’t want to have to upgrade anytime soon when i buy a new phone. For me, each pro shot was much better. Even in this comparison, you can see those differences in the image, details, and white balance. Pro definitely is better in longer term

I can notice a difference in the vibrance of red & orange tones across many of these photos! Now I just need to decide if it's worth an extra $150 to have the nuance in my photos 😂
hey there! Is there a difference in accuracy in protrait mode between the 14 and 14 pro? my current 14 at times have inaccurate spots where the bokeh effect is not filled. Would the pro be little more accurate with the lidar sensor?

Well that’s weird because I compared my regular 14 to peoples 14 pro max and the regular 14 takes way lighter night shots because of that aperture of 1.4 yet in your video they take the same pics. Did you just put two identical pics to justify the lack of light that 14 pro can’t catch?

I find that the 48 MP pixels will be great use when one wants to print giant portraits on photo paper, like blowing up a large wedding portrait. lol, Iphone 14 Pro is comparable to something like Nikon D80 in image quality. Megapixels doesn't tell everything - cameras on phones are inferior to any DSLR with CMOS sensor in low light, image detail, sharpness etc. And there's a reason why DSLR / mirrorless lenses cost more than phones.
In terms of actual captured details 14 Pro is still behind my old point and shoot. Any decent DSLR will capture more details than iPhone. But you will have to spend more time in Lightroom to get iPhone like oversaturation in photos. Even the very first DSLR was really good at capturing details, but it was like 3k camera with huge sensor and glass. I would say it was just slightly worse than iPhone in terms of details captured even thought it was only 4MP. iPhone does too much noise reduction and other processing.
@@Ritez_ And? Phone should have superior processing, much more modern sensor although smaller one, in fact several of those. You would expect phone to benefit from massive advancements, yet Apple has official doofus department of post-processing engineers, who crank HDR, green tinge and noise reduction to 11 and make skin tones very pink. RAW photos reveal how awful processing is, but even then ancient DSLR still beats iPhone in picture quality, because it has some glass and phone can't have it as bit and as good, not to mention that despite advantages of BSI CMOS sensor, that still isn't enough to beat ancient bigger photosites of mid 2000s CCD goodness. iPhone can do HDR to imitate similar qualities, but so can that old DSLR.
If 0.5 ultra wide feature would be in iPhone 14 (not Pro), then there will be no much difference between those two, according to your video. Personally, I prefer Samsung a23 5G, which actually has 0.5 ultra-wide lens and it's much cheaper.
I think for people looking for the best iPhone they should look at the 14 Pro but for people looking for the iPhone 14 then the 13 Pro might be better.😂

well the iphone 14 pro got more zoom, 48MP , dynamic island , 120 Hz , A16 Bionic chip , Macro lens , Stainless steel with textured matte glass back , better battery. But it's not worth the price.
Compare to the price Apple takes , camera department is pretty bad. If you take a photo and zoom that for some extent you will see that the pixel breaks and looses sharpness.
I owned the S23 Ultra before I had an iPhone 12 Pro Max, I'd say personally I like the 14 Plus more than the S23U selfie, and I'll be making my switch to the iPhone 15 Plus on the release date.

the iPhone 14 pro has the macro mode which will sharpen your items providing not over but satisfying details and a clear vision than the normal 14

Theres a huge difference in ultra wide lens when you use action mode. Regular 14 looks like shit because of 2.4 aperture.

lol, Iphone 14 Pro is comparable to something like Nikon D80 in image quality. Megapixels doesn't tell everything - cameras on phones are inferior to any DSLR with CMOS sensor in low light, image detail, sharpness etc. And there's a reason why DSLR / mirrorless lenses cost more than phones.
In terms of actual captured details 14 Pro is still behind my old point and shoot. Any decent DSLR will capture more details than iPhone. But you will have to spend more time in Lightroom to get iPhone like oversaturation in photos. Even the very first DSLR was really good at capturing details, but it was like 3k camera with huge sensor and glass. I would say it was just slightly worse than iPhone in terms of details captured even thought it was only 4MP. iPhone does too much noise reduction and other processing.

@@Ritez_ And? Phone should have superior processing, much more modern sensor although smaller one, in fact several of those. You would expect phone to benefit from massive advancements, yet Apple has official doofus department of post-processing engineers, who crank HDR, green tinge and noise reduction to 11 and make skin tones very pink. RAW photos reveal how awful processing is, but even then ancient DSLR still beats iPhone in picture quality, because it has some glass and phone can't have it as bit and as good, not to mention that despite advantages of BSI CMOS sensor, that still isn't enough to beat ancient bigger photosites of mid 2000s CCD goodness. iPhone can do HDR to imitate similar qualities, but so can that old DSLR.

If 0.5 ultra wide feature would be in iPhone 14 (not Pro), then there will be no much difference between those two, according to your video. Personally, I prefer Samsung a23 5G, which actually has 0.5 ultra-wide lens and it's much cheaper.

@@TechDaily The one thing I noticed is that the ultrawide camera on the 14 Pro is actually wider, it's also a bigger sensor so it will provide better results.

well the iphone 14 pro got more zoom, 48MP , dynamic island , 120 Hz , A16 Bionic chip , Macro lens , Stainless steel with textured matte glass back , better battery. But it's not worth the price.
Compare to the price Apple takes , camera department is pretty bad. If you take a photo and zoom that for some extent you will see that the pixel breaks and looses sharpness.
I owned the S23 Ultra before I had an iPhone 12 Pro Max, I'd say personally I like the 14 Plus more than the S23U selfie, and I'll be making my switch to the iPhone 15 Plus on the release date.
