She was also leaking fuel for the fuel on off stitch. So replace metal or rubber gasket. Also turn fuel off after each use so fuel don't run into the motor oil.
How the hell would you expect 3 year old gas to even combust...
They are cold blooded. I used starting fluid. Even the new ones are like that.

Use a bit of Ether starting fluid. That will help you get it started faster.
Always use non ethanol fuel and drain the carb for storage
No Ether hard on engine it rattles and knocks on ether. Use propane to stamill not flood it like liquid fuels.

guess fuel was not drained. or maybe it was and took a minute for fuel bowl to fill
Use 100 octane and prim it 15 times and it will start at first pull.
