Coached a powderpuff game once, about used some of those same lines on our refs. Seems silly, but now I understand how annoying refs are from a coaches perspective 😂
It was stated in the show that these refs were well known for this kind of behavior and that the team even appealed *not* to have this reffing crew ref this game - but the appeal was denied. And, while this is certainly egregious and slightly exaggerated, there sadly is a problem with bad refs (not just in Texas, but all over the nation, and in *all* sports), and part of the reason is that there is a massive referee shortage. So yes, in real life, this situation *does* happen and it's indicative of a *much larger* problem!
I used to film football games at the school I worked at. One time the refs were brutally incompetent......the opposing team was several yards past the line of scrimmage where the QB threw a touchdown pass, and we're all screaming that it should have been illegal forward pass. But the TD stood and our opponent won.

No! She's horrified. A reminder that if they lose, there's a good chance he gets fired and their entire life gets upended. And after he got thrown out of the game, that risk just got amplified! He suddenly became an easy scapegoat if they ended up losing - especially if it remained close!
I watched the whole video. I played High School sports. My father was a coach. My grandfather was a coach. I didn't see the part where he lost his cool.

As far as the football scenes ok but all that "PUPPY LOVE" nonsense ruined the show the title Friday night football was H. S's greatest memories idiot kids smooching face slobbering was. I can't say ....community rules I'll respect
