If all Spyro were to get is a crossover I would be devastated. While the Spyro and Crash fanbases do have a lot of the same people in both, it would be really sad for Spyro fans to have to share their (VERY eagerly awaited) sequel with a game created to feature them both. I'm not against a crossover, but give Spyro his own game. There's clearly a demand. I get that obviously things aren't always fair and there's more than just demand to consider when developers are deciding what games to make; it would just be really unfortunate if the only future Spyro had was shared with Crash who has already gotten a ton of games and new things to experience.

I haven't finished watching this in full. Now don't get me wrong, I love Crash, I do.. But I want a solo NEW Spyro game first. If we get a crossover that's awesome, but I want Spyro to have his own spotlight in one new stand alone game for just for Spyro. I suppose though at this point I want SOMETHING for Spyro. Rumble is fun but not for me really, I like watching people play it more so. It is in theory a fun idea I'll give it that, I think Spyro and Crash may have a hard start of communication but Coco I could help with that.
A future DLC as part of Spyro 4 would be the most favorable outcome. It would give us the big Spyro game we've been waiting for, it would lower the expectation and risk of a full crossover game that struggles to mix the two gameplays, and it would be a good testing ground for future games in both franchises.
I’m all for a crossover but we really need a new Spyro first. I love both of them and will admit I am a lot more attached to and like crash a lot more but I am also a big Spyro fan. So if a crossover happened before a new Spyro I would be pretty angry even though I like crash more
This. I wouldn't be surprised if the CTR crossover is testing the waters for interest in the idea. Whoever is working with these characters now might want to bring the idea back. Or, maybe they really are just recycling the concepts for CTR with no further motives. I just hope that Spyro will get more than this at some point. I'd prefer he be on equal footing with Crash in terms of recent marketing before getting smushed into a crossover.

Outside of Racing and Rumble, Spyro with Crash feels so forced. It's like they dangle Spyro and then hold up a sign thats says "Please clap". They can exist without the other. Im happy there is no crossover
I'm in agreement that Spyro needs to have his own 4th installment before they crossover. As much as I love the idea of them crossing over, I think there needs to be some form of establishment on as to why it would be possible for Crash and Spyro to crossover. Crash basically did with the quantum masks, now we just need a possibility from Spyro's side other than just portals. I imagine they would introduce Malefor, but a bit more like what Red was without the lousy qualities Red had. Maybe even bring Mark Hamill back as well to voice him without all that distortion. Maybe bring Cynder into the mix too somehow. Though, I don't know who would voice her. Regardless, I do hope a Spyro 4 will be on its way soon.

We already got a Crash and Spyro crossover game before and that’s Crash Purple and Spyro Orange. I don’t think it would be a good idea to make a new crossover game with Crash and Spyro in it. Anyway, I don't think you saw this comment I made in your "Spyro 4 Hints" video so I'll paste it here in case you read the comments to this video (it is very important). Can you try to bring attention to some of the core glitches that have been happening with the game when specifically in a party? Some include: -Host disconnects when matchmaking (but everyone else gets in) -Party members randomly getting kicked from the group after a match (which is really bad because they can get autobalanced onto the other team at that point). -Invites not working at all without restarting the game at least once (this only started happening in season 3). -Disconnecting from the game if you unplug your controller/headset in the character select screen. There are some other glitches that should be addressed too, like getting teleported off/through the map because the latency is preventing the game from updating player positions properly (even for people with good internet), same with hit detection/priority for things that shouldn't have landed (again because the game fails to update player positions on time). I ask you this favour because these glitches have been around since season 2 and are crippling the experience of playing this game with friends. I would try to tell the devs about this but I can't because Twitter requires phone numbers now, same with their discord server (and I'm not about to doxx myself just to ask for a bug fix). A Spyro and Crash crossover would be a colossal misstep on TFB's part. At least at the moment. Spyro fans are still very sore about the lack of Spyro 4, and I think the backlash against TFB after the Game Awards and all that wasted buildup really shows that the fanbase is officially fed up with Spyro being treated like an accessory to Crash and would be very, VERY negative towards it happening again, possibly to the point of a mass exodus of the Spyro fanbase from anything Crash related. Not saying it couldn't or shouldn't happen, just that TFB NEEDS to prioritize Spyro for a while, and not just for one game imo. Give him a spin-off of his own, make a Spyro themed Tony Hawk game or something, just give him some of the same attention Crash has been getting for the past 5 years and then make the crossover when the Spyro fans don't feel like Spyro being tied to Crash is a negative.

I may be the minority, but I really hope not. The whole point was a true new Spyro game. Crash got one, why take that away from Spyro?! I’m not a big fan of the fast paced gameplay mechanics of Crash games. I don’t own any and It stresses me out trying. And a crossover would logically mash Spyro game and Crash game mechanics together… turning me off completely to what I love so much with Spyro games.
I think they should definitely do a crossover eventually. Redeem the franchises from the extreme fumble of Crash Purple and Spyro Orange. But they have listened to fan feedback and shown they understand what makes both franchises great and reinvigorated love for all of the original trilogy. I think a worthy crossover game would be way more feasible now. But it's not just Spyro that needs another game, the Crash reboot is missing several good characters I'd want in it like Crush and Nina. One of the Trohies/Achievements in Spyro Reignited Trilogy says "Party Like It's 2024". Next year is the actual Year of the Dragon, so that could be a sign we're getting a new game next year.

For me a new Spyro game would be an instant buy for me. If it were a crossover game I would hesitate to buy it. Spyro needs his own game first before any major crossover can occur. Granted would be interesting to have a single level in crashes world but I would leave it for dlc only.

If I'm honest, I'd be disappointed. Like I want the focus entirely on Spyro if a new game ever gets developed.

No. Absolutely not. I want spyro 4. If crash has a cameo in the new game or has his own world like in spyro 3 thats fine. BUT not a crossover. We don't want this.
Obviously they should first make a new Spyro title and then bring on the crossover, though man kinda wish it be something like how Insomniac made that new Ratchet and Clank game though.
I'm surprised you went through an entire video talking about a potential spyro & crash crossover without even mentioning the already existing spyro & crash crossover once. I get not spending a lot of time on it, but not even mentioning it as a point in favor of a future crossover happening is a bit weird.
I really don't want to see a crossover game YET. It's an idea that may be fun to see in the future but, right now, I want a Spyro only game. He deserves it and is strong enough to stand on his own. Crash has had his best new game since the ps1 era, and Spyro needs the same.
We already had a crossover with crash purple and Spyro orange GBA, I hope this time we won't have 2 different games.

I'm down for a Spyro 4 and a crossover. Both would seem fun to me. I would prefer a Spyro 4 though.
I dont want a crossover game at all.. spyro in crash team racing /rumble is fine. its just adding an additional ip to a party game i have no problem with that. A story written combining these two very different franchises is not a good idea. They have no reason to be combined other than the fans that think that is what they want.
it would be so cool and to have a very first crossover of crash and spyro fighting bad guys and new ones that would be so awesome, but i really hope to get and see is spyro 4 cause i'm just so excited when it announces soon.

First time I see you sad over this. To me its a reality we have to face. Spyro 4 may not happen at all. This year would have been a ideal time to release it been 25 years old. Nothing happened. All we have are concept art and thats all they are. I would love to be proven wrong on this one. Lets all keep hoping.
One of the Trohies/Achievements in Spyro Reignited Trilogy says "Party Like It's 2024". Next year is the actual Year of the Dragon, so that could be a sign we're getting a new game next year.

reminds me of Game boy advance games got crossover with Crash and Spyro togheter you have either copy, if you got crash. go in spyro world and defeat. if you got spyro. go in crash world and defeat. vice versa. i got one back then as Crash who ended up struggling in Spyro boss.
I mean, it’s better than Crash Purple Ripto’s Rampage or Spyro Oeange Cortex Conspiracy. But yeah, new concepts of a new crossover is one hypothesis.

a proper crossover game between crash and spyro would be peak, i could see it working as a platformer with spyro's levels being like the og trilogy and crash's being like twinsanity or a turn based rpg that plays like the mario and luigi games

I think we will get a new Spyro game, I think it will be just huge and Spyros Worlds or Levels were always bigger than Levels in Crash games - thats why they need so long I think. Cuz when you ask them, nobody deny that Spyro 4 is in development, why easily not say: hey we dont working on Spyro... ?

For me a new Spyro game would be an instant buy for me. If it were a crossover game I would hesitate to buy it. Spyro needs his own game first before any major crossover can occur. Granted would be interesting to have a single level in crashes world but I would leave it for dlc only.

I would have to agree with your thought that if there was a crossover before a mainline game, it would upset the fan base of Spyro. I would almost imagine it like the way warner bros handled man of steel, then Batman versus Superman as his second movie

I wish we had a Crash/Spyro/Sly Cooper crossover. I miss Sly, Bentley and Murray, and want to see how the Cooper Gang can cope with solving the dimensional anomoly by stealing from Cortex, Ripto and Clockwerk. Hell, Sly could be in Crash's Egypt! Idk.
