You had me at: 'shame about that god awful thing in the background'. The Juke is an abomination.
Great video Tom. Those fob things that you found in the glovebox are alarm Fobs for a Sparkrite Alarm system which is fitted to the car. When you had the bonnet open the alarm siren is fitted just behind the headlight on the drivers side. Lovely car that 800.
Looks a keeper Tom for the new owner, flat red will take some looking after.
Gorgeous example
Awesome video Tom, what an absolute stunner of a car, I've owned two of these Vitesse's in the past although slightly later models a 96 & a 98 so both were fully colour coded had smoked rear lenses, later door cards, air con, and had the coil pack instead of the dizzy, at the moment I have six 800s and a ZT190, the 800s are great cars so much so I've always had an 800 since 1999, maybe one day I'll own another vitesse, I did a 365 mile round trip once in my 98 vitesse at 44.5 miles to the gallon.
Very, very nice!
Stunning car, love it
a very well kept example
@@tomdrives I would love it myself.
Car looks great. I was surprised how tinny the door sounded as you closed it.
There's something loose in the door, needs looking at.
Oh yeah, I like the Rover 800 - paint not even faded! 😁
97 onwards are the best. Colour coded
and 200bhp and different rear lights. Before 97 they are 177bhp
Mine also had climate control six stack CD player
Great Vid mate. Lovely Rover! I had a couple of 820s one was a vitesse but auto I used for a bit of towing. That looks great in red! Also cool music 🎶 👍
she's a beaut
I had the early 1992 vittesse turbo. It was rocket. Build quality was dreadful. well the switch gear. There was a crunch in 3rd gear. The handbrake cables used to jam. i loved the recaro seats. it was a comfy big cruiser. i would have another if im honest its just series 3 rover sd1 lol
Amazing car 😍😍 I've cut myself shaving a few times.
Personally a p6 is my favourite Rover in the world
Loved the 800 Fastback
Yes you will and no not watched it yet LOL!
Sterling was the name Rover used when they launched the 800 in America. Pretty random though, might just be a coincidence.
My last car was the British racing green version. Loved it, but struggled to find the parts at the time. Last was rear tail gate had to replace, after window shattered in winter. Couldn't source just a window. Comfortable seats. But prefer the 620ti suspension, was really soft.
I have a spare tailgate in BRG
I had one of those well built very nice car I love have another again . Interesting as an early example but got the later alloys as I had an mine in 1998 s plate . I had a k plate in the same colour but modified with dump value etc , great car love ti own on again . Regards mark
Lovely car. If not resprayed then it must have been garaged as red fades so well/badly. Looks like it has been loved by previous owners.
Great vid mate - random question where did you get that jumper from?
You share my view of the Nissan Juke, the fugliest car ever made, period
Very pretty
nice
Why’s he selling it already? Just seen it listed on a auction line up
Yeah he got rid, the absolute legend got an XJ from the 70s and wow it’s stunning
Had the 827 vittesse . F reg . 2.0 vitesse turbo replaced it . 827 alot better car
I agree, I had an 827 Vitesse J reg myself
How much did he paid for it
A good few quid I'm not at liberty to say
Good video, but it doesn't mention the dog sh1t attitude of some of the work force which made it difficult for the majority.
I’m not aware of that, I would like to make a video on company culture but it’s not mine to make
