Love the music. You did a great job of describing the area, and capturing a lot of the visual feel of the area.

Yeah fuck an A! :P Great walk about! loved the distractions 6:42 vary nice! Guess the park is the highest ground? but still rather sketchy! I don't want to throw any shade at emergency planning but i would not trust it! speaking of cyberpunk are you planning on playing 2077? thanks for the fantastic share! Always awesome my friend!

It’s my intention to play it. But I just don’t have the time... so I play it for real when I go to Tokyo 😅

You’re welcome, though I dare say Tokyo isn’t a particularly fascinating place. Not compared to the rest of Japan, at least.

great video, loved the longer run time :)
however many times i come to Japan just walking around with no real destination in mind never gets old,
something always interesting shows up, just the way old and modern apartment blocks and buildings contrast with each other at dusk with lights just coming on works for me , is that weird lol .
another couple of weeks and i'll be there again , can't wait,
    thanks for uploading,
    cheers

If the stars and schedules align let’s try meet up. Not sure I’ll have the time but if we can why not shoot some streets.
Ineed to try drop one ore two more longer ones once in a blue moon. For now it will be backlogged videos. But yeah it breaks the monotony from time to time with the editing. And surprisingly it’s less effort to put together than a 7D7M though much more effort to shoot.

@@DarcNoodles a meet up would be good , but like you say stars & schedules need to align ,
a couple of beers would work too :)
i'm flying into Fukuoka this time , couple of gigs to see so first week is all Kyushu ,
2nd week no hard plans yet , so yeh lets see what happens ,
      have a good one ,

That’s how unremarkable Koto Ward is. If only it was a pit in a preschool... that would have been remarkable.

Pit in a Preschool could be an amazing metal band name

      @DarcNoodles  5 років тому

Nah. Though judging by the stupid flailing chimpanzee dancing that metalcore fans seem to like, it would be a pretty good metalcore band name.

Tokyo Big Sight - remember getting excited about going to a robot show there that a cool old Japanese couple told me was on that particular day, rushed over there on the monorail and once I got in there they told me it was on in the next month and I must have misunderstood the couple, still what a amazing building and the moving saw haha rad.

The big sight is indeed a sight to behold. It’s definitely my favorite exhibition space.

I lived in Koutou-ku from 1992 to 1997. I lived in an area called Kitasuna, near Nishi-Oojima Station. Nothing but good memories living there!

Nice. Thanks for the comment. It’s changed a lot since then I reckon. I wonder how much the fact that it was the 90s helped those good memories. Japan was looking upwards not downwards back then.

Watching that soulless concrete/steel/glass jungle makes me feel quite glad to be living in Itabashi where at least there's a feel of Edo history around and it has "some" character (we even have a hip hop track devoted to the place ua-cam.com/video/moK8d-Dgprs/v-deo.html). That said, props for showing places that others generally wouldn't bother with, and yeah we're no experts either but wife and I have had discussions before about how much of that man-made Tokyo coastline would likely go underwater given enough of an earthquake/tsunami (i.e. probably a lot of it, and it's a reason we're living far away from that part).

Good choice. Yeah I won’t forget 3/11. And a since then I always have an idea of my GTFO options. Speaking about shooting unremarkable places A long walk through Itabashi might not be a bad idea 💡 if only there were time. Btw. Message me your postal addy.

Just a bloke living in a country town in Australia, finding Tokyo fascinating... People in the city probs find the prospect of living in a country town appealing ...wtf lol!

I’m a city boy who didn’t want anything to do with the country till I came to Japan. Now I’m all about the inaka life. That said any city besides greater Tokyo and I’d be very happy there. Tokyo, however is a great place to work and play but it’s a shithole to live in.
