My husband and I went to Musso & Frank’s just for a nightcap before they closed. The bartender was very friendly and had been a long time employee originally from Mexico. Very classy place. We were the only ones there & he had the kitchen prepare some munchies for us to go with our drinks. After that we walked further down Hollywood and saw the famous pizzeria where Lucy twirled her famous pizza and Frank Sinatra was a regular customer there. It was quite a memorable night many years ago on July 24, 2009 after seeing Fiddler on the Roof with Topol on his farewell tour. Thanks for the memories. ❤️🙏🏻 🌹

Been watching the old ones lately and enjoying them so much. When we went to LA three years ago we stayed over on Orchid Street and had a wonderful dinner at Musso and Frank's and I was in Hollywood Heaven. Amazing food, service, and Hollywood history.

Wow what an awesome restaurant and that you had the chance to look around 🙂. Looks like your trips coming together well too and one advantage you'll be one hour ahead instead of eight hours behind time wise . Glad that your on the road again and that the glass job was cheap . You seem happier too 👍🏻👍🏻🙂

Hi Jordan. I consider this a rare treat. I love it when vlogs dated 5 years ago pop up. So glad you love History. Who would of thought Charlie Chaplin loved lamb kidneys.🙂. Letting you vlog in there was awesome.seeing that phone booth, I'm going wow, wonder who used it. Think of all the private conversation that went on. You chose the right hat to do that Vlog. Having Good friends, those you keep for life. So glad these Vlogs keep coming back. I get a new phone every 2 years. I just love it being able to watch something you vlogged 5 years ago. I get just as excited watching those as much as the ones you did yesterday.👍💯❤️. I hope they keep coming. Kind give me that I'm going back in time and I love it. Seeing JAH is always awesome. ✌️. Love, respect, and positivity always. Vee J.🙂👋.

I went to Musso & Franks twice. The last time was about 19 years ago or a little longer. There in a booth I saw Kevin McCarthy the actor who starred in Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I was too timid to go over and speak with him unfortunately. He was with another gentleman. If you’re willing to pay their prices, this iconic eating establishment should not be missed. All the servers were older men wearing distinctive red jackets.

Musso and Frank's was my family's special occasion place, along with Don the Beachcomber. I first went to Musso and Frank's about 30 years ago and my parents were first there in the 1940's. My favorite dishes were Lobster Thermidor and Welsh Rarebit. You can rarely find these on restaurant menus any more. Almost everyone who was anyone ate there in the 20th century. I hope they still serve these items on the menu. (I grew up going to the original Don the Beachcomber on McCadden Place during the 1950's - 1990's. It closed after the earthquake in 1994.)These old school restaurants are my very favorite places to eat out. If you live in L.A. you really should treat yourself while Musso's still exists.

In 1965 I worked across the street from Musso & Franks. The building used to house the original Pig & Whistle restaurant but they closed and a business called Masters Mart operated out of the building. It was one of the early discount stores and many of the stars shopped there. I met Jack Lord and Angelia Lansbury there to name a few. When I was in Hollywood and went to Musso & Franks, I noticed that the Pig & Whistle had reopened again in its old location and their was an historic landmark plaque out in front. Hope it’s still in business.

I always wondered what it looked like in there, pretty cool! Did you ever get to sit and have a meal in there before you left California? I bet it would be so amazing, especially if you had someone telling you about all the history from there while you ate! I don't drink, and I really don't care for wine, but once you walked in there I feel like I really want a glass of Lambrusco (sp?). Thanks , Jordan, I would love to go there some day!!!
I hope Jah is feeling better, in today's vlog you said he was feeling kinda sick. Sending good thoughts & prayers his way! ❤️

We are on the same wavelength as far as searching for the famous backroom bar. I had heard there was a separate bar that is up and running (associated with this somehow) nearby Musso & Frank. I did a quick video of Musso and was curious about other videos: ua-cam.com/video/txnByflgAbg/v-deo.html I love the steak and martinis. And, of course, the history!

Next time you visit Tulsa you might want to go see woolaroc thirty minutes away in Bartlesville, go to the Phillips mansion (they also owned woolaroc were Roy Rogers and other celebs used to go hunting, my hometown of Pawhuska (and yes I know the pioneer woman’s family. I used to sit on her husbands grandfather’s lap named Fred and he’d tell me stories as a young child), and other old oil millionaires mansions like the one on Ponca. Ben Johnson, John Wayne, Roy Rodgers, Buffalo Bill, and many other celebs hung out at Woolaroc. Not only that today’s celebs go hang out quietly I’m Pawhuska and Bartlesville a lot. Not only that OSAGE county is famously known for murders of Indian families that owned land on the reservations famous for hitting oil. The OSAGE were known as one of the riches tribes, beside the Shawnee nearby and white meh would marry in and murder. There’s a book out about that. The Indians were so rich they had paid to import glass windows from Europe that are priceless in the Catholic Church in Pawhuska and two films were filmed in Pawhuska that are recent. August OSAGE county being one. It’s very very interesting. Even Orson Wells would hang out and hunt on the oil tycoon Phillips land and hunt called Woolaroc.
