My Italian grandmother who passed away in 2005 at the age of 97 was at Rudolph Valentino's funeral. She said thousands and thousands of people attended, many in tears and all wanting to be there to show their love and devotion for such a beloved actor.
Valentino's is one of the most notable funerals in American history. ELVIS drew a good size crowd, too.

WOW REALLY 👌 👏 😍 👍 🥰 ☺ 👌 👏 😍 👍 🥰 ☺!❤
Jordan... You get access to all these off limit places because of your kind, loving and genuine real personality. You are so wonderful and perfect to be precious Jah’s daddy. I love you both so much
It would be really cool if they could put Valentino and Kerry's suites back to how they would have looked when they lived there. Still, kind of sad it's just left untouched. Awesome video Jordan! You never disappoint !
Wow! I've seen the Alexandria from the outside, but never from the inside...and your visit to Valentino's suite was INCREDIBLE! I can't imagine how elegant it was 100 years ago. I'd like to see them keep the room a little cleaner and maybe replace the outdated TV, table, etc. with restored items from 1910-1920.
Thanks for the video. I wonder why the windows were opened? That will destroy a house or room quickly.
Rudy had a home in Whitestone , Queens that is now a restaurant and catering Hall. The restaurant has pictures of him and the house way back when. The house faces little neck bay and is next door to a public golf course.
What an absolute thrill, to see the ballroom and Rudolph Valentino's suite!!!
It must've been so posh back then, with the velvet wallpaper and deep sultry colors, but a little surprised the room wasn't kept a bit nicer.
My favorite era, the twenties. Love the art deco and Gothic style-sooo cool.
Thanks so much Jordan, for an absolutely fantastic vlog. You have a true gift in opening up that fascinating world to us and you always captivate me with your amazing story telling!
Hope you're around for years to come....sweet Jah, too. ❤️😊❤️
Thanks for sharing this video Jordan, I can only imagine standing in the room where Valentino once lived, the hair on the back of my neck would stand up-even after all these years. This video just shows the humble beginnings of one of Hollywood's most iconic and loved actors! I hope you are doing well Jordan and Jah and please stay safe! I want to see more videos, you are the best
At 9:40 That's ME in the Wheelchair getting home from the Dr... I just about fell out of my chair when I saw ME....
I'm Famous Now !!!!
I've Made it in Hollywood....
Rob N. I noticed you. That’s crazy!!
This was so cool to see! Love stuff like that!👏
I love Jah! He is adorable! They should restore the apt. And have regular tours! That history should not be lost. The ball room with the huge chandeliers was beautiful.
I have loved watching Rudolph Valentino's films for years. I saw The Married Virgin and The Young Raj over July 4th 2023 AND THEN bumped into your UA-cam channel soon afterward and the tour of the Alexandria Hotel. There are no coincidences. Thank you so much. As you said, it was INCREDIBLE.
What a treat to see that apartment and ballroom!
Thank you for caring about Hollywood history.💋
Fascinating ! Till now I had never heard of this vintage & historic Los Angeles ! THANKS, Jordan ! How wonderfully kind of the owners to let you see & film both the ballroom and the late great Mr Valentino's 12th floor apartment ! Luv learning about the people who were involved in the silent movie industry (both in front of & behind the camera). Kudos ! :-)
the stained glass ceiling in the first ballroom is an original Tiffany & Co.
It was breathtaking! ❤️
Adonis Rivera You’d think the host would have known that, but he didn’t even seem to realize he had to look up to see it.
came back to watch this again i really liked the window BEAUTIFUL views outside . thank u to lady that let u in so we could see it.
I somehow got into the ambassador hotel with a friend and toured the whole place. But a few years later our band went back and I talked the security guard into taking us around for a photoshoot all around the place. Also I bought the door handle to the garden of allah from the guy who was part of the crew who tore it down. lots of cool stuff in LA
Just found your channel when doing research on Falcon's Lair - fantastic videos, wow!
While touring the room I noticed some rather odd stains on the carpet and what appeared to be a spatter on the wall.Could this be why the room is no longer used? You panned over it rather quickly.Which made me wonder if it was just paint or if was indeed something that would have tainted the wonderful history of this room? Thanks.
That was blood. I work as a nurse in a emergancy room and at a mental hospital. I know blood splatter. It makes since as that is ain Skid Row and a beyond dangerous area.
I think the Alexandria Hotel should restore the Valentino suite and give it a 1920's decor (with 21st century conveniences, of course). They could rent it out to guests at a good rate. Fascinating tour, Jordan.
Holy smokes! This was awesome! Love anything Valentino related!
The Same Here About RUDY VALENTINO!❤
So nice that the people have you access to Valentino's suite like that. So many people are uptight about filming now. Just wondering if that red flocked wallpaper was from the 70s or not...maybe that was the last time it was renovated. The second bathroom looked very 70s as well.
Thank you so much! I loved the ballrooms. I hope they restore Rudolph's suite.
At 9:17 is a very famous photo of joe schencks dinner party. Everbody who was anybody in the silent era is in that pic. Including valentino
Amazing opportunity . . . you must have made a good impression on the hotel staff. Very nice video! Those of us who will most likely will never have such an opportunity -- we salute you!
+russmaleartist so kind of you
My Pleasure -- Thank you . . . always like to give credit where credit is due.
This has got to be the best Vlog you have done so far. xx
That ballroom was gorgeous! My dad used to do old time ballroom dancing at Blackpool tower ballroom in the UK. You should check it out if you ever go there.
lol...Your pup is adorable little actor..Love all the sights of LA..Thanks for sharing on the amazing Hotel Alexandria Hotel, & Valentino's first LA, Apartment..
Your best reporting yet! Love time capsules. Can imagine some eye-popping stuff going down, in the 70s, on those chaise loungues! Any stuff about William Chick's bricked up annexe? Thank you Jordan
Wow!! What a treat for all us Valentino fans. 🎬📽🎞❤❤
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!❤
Charlie Chaplin whooped Louis B Mayer ass lol I'd like to see that on film. Visiting that ballroom takes you back in time , this was Rudolph Valentino's original name ; Rodolfo Alfonso Raffaello Pierre Filibert Guglielmi di Valentina d'Antonguella.
THAT'S ACTUALLY RIGHT!❤
Great video,Ive read about Rudolf and John Kerry,You think they would restore that apt and make some money on it.I bet its haunted .
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!❤
Justamazing to see....thank you so much for the tour and history! Love you Ja!
I wouldn't believe that Valentino was ever bisexual. There is a lot of revisionist history about things like that and they don't seem to realize that men live together completely as heterosexuals.
Magma Sunburst I guess saying he was bi sells more books and movies. He was a lovely confident gentleman!
Valentino was absolutely straight. He was such a ladies man. There were scandals in Italy before he left for America. There was a ballerina in Paris. He was getting it on with women from the time he was 15 in Italy. There was a scandal in Taranto involving a mother and her two daughters - all reputed to be seeing Valentino at the same time. One ended up pregnant. It helps to understand Italian, because Italy is a country that keeps very, very detailed records. In addition to that, the communities in Italy still talk about his escapades to this day. Stuff passed down from great-grandmothers, etc... It's very much "common knowledge". If they heard someone say he was gay, they'd laugh themselves to death.
I love old buildings! Valentino certainly lived in an incredible building. Top of the line for the time. My Great Grandmother adored Valentino! When as young girls we'd be talking about some hot young actor, she'd butt right in, lol! Definition of my Great Grandmother "Well endowed woman, perfectly dressed and makeup on, hair not a strand out of place who would smother you in her chest when you hugged her. We were perfect angles to her." She was also the largest gossip in america and knew everything about the silent picture era and didn't mind giving you the tiniest detail! You would have loved her Jordan! Well maybe not the hugs, but her knowledge was incredible! Oh Jah you are such a ham, I love you little buddy!
Loved your video. Hotel Alexandria looks really cool and fantastic to see inside Valentino's first appt. In L.A. Thank you
Wonder if it's haunted by him or the other guy that would be interesting to know
15:11 that was Norman's room.. Mgmt. had just kicked 2 squatters out of their two weeks prior to you filming in that room... so it has been slept in..
The squatters were Not Arrested... they just messed up History.... it's sad...
Who's Norman? How were the squatters able to get in? Mgmt. screwed up by Not having them arrested!! They always trespass & vandalize private properties. Police should keep them in jail for several months. If they have a record, keep them in longer!! Maybe that will teach them.
Also why would all the owners of that Amazing hotel not fix that room? It's Beyond me~ if they can afford that hotel with the gorgeous ballrooms, why on earth can't they fix those 2 rooms?!!!! Thnx Rob N. !!!!!!
Those rooms need to be cleaned and rehabbed they are part of movie history. Valentino is a legend and the space where he lived should be available for the public.
All I can say is WOW!
Great video.
Great vlog. Beautiful old hotel.
Fabulous! What a treat. Love the architectural videos. On one of my earlier LA visits, I walked down Broadway just loved the theatre district. This January I was lucky to be there during Night On Broadway. The interiors of the theatres I was able to enter were magnificent. Have you done any vlogs about the theatres?
The Hotel is listed as permanently closed.
I love your dog. Reminds me of my dog.... so sweet!!!! Love the videos. Keep up the great work!!!!

Amazing video, you are the best, thanks
Jah is the best and yes he should probably get an academy award! Are the ballots still open because I will nominate him!!! :)
In the early 80's a friend through a dance for our neighborhood and when we were leaving the elevator got stuck with a full crowd in it and the panel to move the elevator was like paying games with us in it. Finally they got to where it was stuck the people helping us were the guys from the neighborhood i don't think the hotel l ever helped . So they pried it open but the floor was above us so we had to be lifted out of a small space and the dam elevator kept jerking it was so dam crazy and never did I think of ghost until now...LOL!
No wonder your so happy all the time 🇮🇪☘
That tour just made me subscribe. . . So cool, just think Valentino inhabited those rooms! If those walls could talk. . .
just perfect thank you
WOWWWW
AMAZING
Awesome history!!
Great video
Remarkable video, thanks.
I love your dog his so cute!
There ya go! Woodrow WILSON 🌹. TESLA .. Biltmore, etc.. I was pulled to an interview with someone named ROSE🌹
There was a guy doing a photo shoot in Valentino's old apartment in 2011 who claims a bathroom door slammed shut on it's own while they were in there. He said that the door slammed so hard it rattled the windows, there was no cross breeze present and the bathroom door had been propped open. Probably rattling a few nerves no doubt! Maybe nobody stays in it anymore cause it's haunted? I don't know but that sure would have been creepy!
Wow loved that.
At 14:00 I feel like Elvira, mistress of the dark is going to come out. That looks just like her red couch.
Why have they let the apt go to waste like that even if they don't let anyone stay in it they should have taken care of it. They don't have to change it but goodness they could have kept it up.
Awe, jah so cute
I've been enjoying watching documentaries on life of Valentino, and so this one is great, also. I had no idea he was bisexual, but it fits the stereotype of Hollywood greats.
No confirmation on his bisexuality, but some things seem to point to it
This was very cool.
That sink looks like it is original to the bathroom, he could have used that very sink. What a shame that beautiful place is in that condition.
Love love Jah
pretty amazing!
I was busted by security on the staircase at 12:00. Lol so weird to see it so nice now...
aw that's so cute puppy
❤️Jah.
on yes the whole building had red wall paper s . it what's really glamorous.
I don't understand why that ballroom is in mint condition, but the apartment that you think might have been Valentino's is trashed. Why don't they maintain it. Don't they know they could be making a fortune renting out those apartments if they refurbished them and especially if they kept the whole 1920's theme. Wow! I'll just have to win the lottery!
I absolutely love you and jaw you are my favorite you tuber I love the adventures you take me on thank you so much.
Why is it so dilapitated? Why doesn't Alexandria Hotel fix it and rent it as "Valentino's first stay" ?
Restore it
Jaw is so cute
💥WOW!💥
Why don't they restore this to the period he lived?
AKRON OHIO.... HERE......
I don't understand why that room is not kept better and trashed like that. Makes no sense. Valentino is a legend.
That apartment hotel is low income housing full of the down n out
It’s near skid row
I love those old buildings. It's a shame when they tear them down to put up condos.
I agree completely. The history cannot be replaced.
See Wildwood NJ or what's left of it.
The same is happening in San Francisco...we have a plethora of modern high-rise atrocities that mar the skyline. Salesforce Tower is the most offensive of all!!!
See what’s left of historic Newark NJ we have a old castle here
Los Angeles is notorious in being indifferent to its history..that is especially true with the decisions made by demolishing some of the classic Hollywood buildings and landmarks.
Wow how interesting. I got a real vibe from the beautiful Alexandria especially in the suites. Amazing. Thank you
