We go to 2 apartments F. Scott Fitzgerald lived in in Hollywood. One of which, he passed away in. The other, he lived across the hall from Lucille Ball!
Nothing is coincidence , and nothing is left to chance. it was meant for you to run into the woman who gave you the information so then you can relate it to the rest of us. thank you Jordan
Unlike if you ask someone in a laundromat how to work the machine she tells you to go away and don't bother her.
I lived in Rockville Maryland 2011-2013 and the only claim to fame I found there was that he and Zelda are buried there at the Catholic Church. His father was born and raised on a farm just outside of Rockville. My daughter finished HS there and The Great Gatsby was still on the required reading list. Thanks for the great vlog!
Such a very nice lady. So informative. It’s nice to see people actually respectfully conversing with one another.
So true ! I was thinking the same thing !
That was all so lovely. Such a friendly lady, it was great listening to you both. Beautiful property. I wouldn't mind living there. This just filled in my afternoon nicely. I didnt realise you'd only been vlogging for 3 months. Wow I'm impressed. Thanks Jordan. 😃😃💖🌹💖
I certainly have a notion to second THAT emotion !
I really enjoyed this one. I saw his grave in Rockville, Maryland last summer; it's in a quiet little cemetery behind a church.
I think he couldn't adapt to screenwriting as his gift was the written word that provoked so much thought.
Such a sad story.
Here is the fragment of poetry found in his desk after he died - stunning chilling prophetic: -
'Your books were in your desk I guess and some unfinished Chaos in your head Was dumped to nothing by the great janitress of destinies'
WOW!!
Thank you lady for passing on the stories of old Hollywood!
I heartily concur !!
Oooh the building is so beautiful and the landscaping is immaculate! The Sheila they mention, is it Sheila Graham? That's the name that keeps coming to me and I have read a lot about Mr. Fitzgerald. I loved his work. He was so jaded and wrote so honestly about the high and mighty. Thank you for this. He died too young. You are a phenominal researcher and you know of what you talk and that you are a fan is astonishing!
Sheila Graham, his girlfriend.
Yes. Sheilah Graham. "Beloved Infidel." He was also supporting his daughter Scottie at boarding school and then Vassar.
Oh my, it will take me years to catch up with all your Volgs! Late to the party!
Great job! Villa de Este was built in 1927
Love your blog so much history on loads of famous people I love it thank you
That was nice of the property manager to fill in the details of those apt buildings F. Scott Fitzgerald lived in. Yes, Hollywood is a tough business to survive yet very alluring and captivating. It’s the nature of the beast as the saying goes. That’s why we need these vlogs to preserve its history and bring us back to the joys of life like having Jah anxiously waiting for his master to come home & make him happy. Thank you Jordan for all your hard work & efforts in bringing these little gems of information into our lives. ❤️🙏🏻🐕🦺🌈
Your videos are awesome!
I love how you do all the homework. Phenomenal :)
Thank you for this - one of my favorite writers as well!
Hollywood architecture is soooooo
Beautiful!!
Good interview of that lady, Jordan, so many people would try to tell her what they know rather than letting her talk about what she knows. She seems really into all that history, quite lucky to find someone so knowledgeable when you just randomly go visit the site.
Jordan, thanks for all the wonderful vlogs! So fun to see all the interesting spots of history and interest found in L.A.
Even though this is a couple of years old it popped up on my You Tube today. I am a writer and just finished my first book. F. Scott Fitzgerald is also one of my favorite writers, so this was fascinating to me. Keep up the good work!
Another great one! Love these so much! Thank you Jordan! Makes me want to come out to LA!!
I love your channel!!!! Thanks for always being SOOO informative. I’ve learned so much from watching your vlogs, and this one is no disappointment. I have friends in LA that I share your vlogs with and they love to follow behind you to see these places too. Thank you again!!
I enjoy all your vlogs! You do your research and your narrative is so natural. Love the history.
I love learning about all the interesting tidbits about the people you vlog about. Thank you so much! Your vlogs are always so interesting! :)
Great job on all the shows I’ve seen! I’ve watched and enjoyed many so far! So thank you!
Great Vlog, Jordan and Jah. F. Scott Fitzgerald is my 2nd. favorite author. (My 1st. choice of authors has been, and always will be Jack London). WOW! That lady is awesome and so helpful. It's refreshing to find people like this. Makes for a better time Vlogging for you. Hey, there's a place to visit and Vlog, Jordan. Jack London's Beauty Ranch in Glen Ellen, CA. I know it's outside the Hollywood and the Los Angeles area, but it's food for thought.
Fascinating Vlog Jordan! What wonderful information! 👍🎬👍❤
Thank you Jordan and Jah, another interesting vlog!
Often, at the end of the day, late in the evening, I pour myself a neat scotch, and log onto one of your vlogs. I find your knowledge of the history of the people and places quite fascinating. Thank you.
Hi Jordan, this was a good video, very interested and informative. Thank you so much for sharing 🤗.
Such a sad life , great video 🤗💕
You're the best Jordan! Great Vlog per usual! XO
Great vlog, I love these kind.
You draw the good to you by being good yourself! how cool that you ran into that lovely lady who had so much great info - another goosebump moment for me. Excellent vlog. I cannot believe how varied your interests are - I love it. You rock. (p.s. - the lion fountain at the end - nice touch! Another Jordan coincidence. You uncover the treasures of L.A.).
Thank you Jordan for another awesome vlog. 😎
Thanks for another great video!!
The lady neighbor was very nice and informative.
How true ! Goes to show that there are still kind & helpful people in this world ! :-)
Truly enjoyed this vlog. Thank you.
Hollywood has so many layers. I think you probably get the same feeling that I do when I found out a place where someone lived or died. It's nostalgia, but usually I've never known the person, but there is still that feeling. Also, the feeling of wanting to belong to that club, be a part of it all. That's impossible, so going and looking at the places where my favorite actors, writers, and obscure people that are celebrities because they were on the fringe of celebrity. Love this vlog so much. xxx
Thanks for the upload. Scott Fitzgerald is my favourite author too.
It is amazing how much you know about 1920, 30 in Holywood. This area is gorgeous.
What a great vlog and to top it off running into a nice lady that gave good information. The apartments are beautiful and it looks so clean in the area. Thank you Jordan for sharing great stories with us. Love to you and Jah

Thanks again Jordan, for a great history lesson!
I LOVE learning the history of these beautiful buildings. Thank you
He lived in 2 very beautiful apartment buildings, so sad he passed away in one at such a young age. My Daughter loves his writings also, it's kind of hard for me to follow, my mind starts wondering. That lady that was talking to you, was so full of interesting information, how kind she was to offer it to you!!!
Thanks, Jordan! 🌼
I love to read and read a lot but yes it is not always an easy thing....mind wanders, sleep starts to close the eyes, but when it all comes together and youre reading the exact perfect thing for that moment and you forget youre reading, even forget where you are, it's great!
Ok just came back to watch this! I feel like i missed it the first time around. Awesomeness! Such a sad life indeed. How fortuitous to run into that neat lady with all that Desilu/F Scott info!
Fabulous! Thank you!!
One of my all time favorite authors.
I love when you show the view on the way out.
Very interesting vlog. Great one!👍
That lady was so kind and informative. I am glad you got to see where your favorite writer lived. It was so shady and garden like and quiet. No hustle and bustle. I would probably sit outside everyday that the weather and my schedule allowed, if I was there.
I just love you and you sweet puppy! Y’all crack me up !! Love your vlogs!!!!🌷💗
It's this vlog that made me start reading works by F. Scott Fitzgerald 💙 before he was just a name...Thank you for making him real Jordan💙
My favorite author. Wonderful vlog.
+Rachel Delgado me too!
You couldn’t have asked for a better “guest” to shed substantive info abt Fitzgerald. Some tour guides have less insight abt their subject matter than this lady. That’s what’s great abt Jordan’s videos in general. Not just “he lived here” but here’s some actual insight into his personality and relationships and how he’s influenced Jordan. Very insightful. Videos were excellent back then and only get better.
i studied his works in university this was really good
I loved seeing this, he's my favorite author, too. PS Don't any dogs bark in Los Angeles? They are SO QUIET in the dog park.
Hey jordan! To me this was probably one of ur best stories, until now i never really knew too much about Mr. Fitzgerald but better late than never bc i think he was an interesting person to say the least.. & i have to say that woman was not only very informative but genuinely nice & reminded me a little of Jaimie lee Curtis😊😊 thanks Jordan & take care.
Jah playing at the dog 🐶 park 🐾🐾🐾🐾 fascinating story thanks Jordan 🦁
Great vlog 👍, the manageress lady was awesome, just gave the vlog that little bit cherry on top didn't she, must be great, literally just bumping into people like that on a vlog and they become a big part of the story Didn't know anything really about F.scott Fitzgerald but I do know, cheers Jordan 👍.
Great Jordan!!!!!!!!!
Awesome vlog!
Ah now I recall seeing a remarkable prophetic piece of poetry found on his desk after he died. Just trying to find it.

That lady was so awesome!
Right place at the right time for me
Wow, that woman was a wealth of knowledge!! I learned a lot about F Scott Fitzgerald just by listening to the two of you converse. Los Angeles has a lot of beautiful apartment buildings.
That lady was full of great information. Hope you gave her a t-shirt.
Hello Jordan and jah 😘😘😘
thanks for this. I went to that same apartment about 10 years ago and that dark gray front door happened to be open and so I walked through and stood before the actual door to the apartment. It looked like the original front door and it seemed kind of a small door, I guess
Another good one!.................but...be honest...............Jaw is truly the star of the show......................
Good video
One thing I miss about California are the old cars that are still around..
So cool, imagine living in those apartments where they lived. I’d be hoping their ghosts showed up to say hi.
Great Vlog, comment over.
+Bo Noble thanks bo!
Ginevra King, the rich girl whose dad had told her no on Fitzgerald, was his inspiration for many of his characters including Daisy Buchanan.
beautiful stuff! My only note is that I couldn't hear the lady talk.
It was a camera phone..
Fitzgerald is my favorite writer too. ❤️ Love Gatsby so much!
He was and is a amazing person. I loved his wife Zelda also. Netflix done a series called Zelda. It was a good series.
Wow interesting vlog. And she was so sweet to tell you all about that❤
It's so weird seeing my old street N. Laurel Ave!
Interesting. I've read the Great Gatstby a few times. I read he died while having a candy bar. Sad ending.
I read a handful of books about this American novelist & screenwriter. I was really surprised about how he still cared for his first wife, Zelda even though he was with another woman at the end of his life🤭🕯
Zelda's mind was gone, it wasnt like he was cheating, they think she'd started as bipolar but the elect. shock treatments popular back then, turned her into a real mental patient. Sad, if she'd never seeked treatment she mightve been okay.
