i'm just not believing this!! after this astonishing tour, i liked you showing how you can control each electronic individually.. north wall lights.. ...who would even think of a home arcade, and You Did It RIGHT & PROPER!! what will you do next?! well done adam! very exciting.. happy trails. xox
love spending time listening in. i get really big smiles seeing you unwrap atari and adore the joy stick all over again.. i had fun, laughed and enjoyed the show.. good review.
I think so too, I just wish it had a better out of box experience. Look at the comment below - there seems to be some not very well documented tricks too. "You have to press the menu button on the controller (=) to switch to the VCS games."
Atari did say they are going to make improvements with the atari vcs soon they are listening to feedback and the reason why they did not go all out is because they are not big huge like nintendo, sony and microsoft like they used to be back in the day they are a small company now a days another reason why i think they doesn't add too much because maybe they want to see what you guys think about the atari vcs first by giving your difference honest opinions and i also want to see if it will do well or not do well first that's why they bring it out for the backers first before they bring it out for us retailers in spring 2021 this year and another reason why they didn't go all out is because i think they want to take baby steps first by starting out small before that go big well in my honest opinion i'm ok with them starting out small because if they start it out big by just having everything right away they would not have anymore surprises left that's why i think it's a smart idea for atari to start small before going all out that's just me i know that everyone is entitled to their own difference honest opinion i respect that thanks for sharing your thoughts opinions on the atari vcs
I hear ya. It’s a fine plan for modern America. But wouldn’t it be refreshing if we could just buy, plug in, and play? I honestly dont write this to put out my opinion, I just want to plug something in and have fun. If everything is ruled by committee, then we will never make great strides. I’m sure they’ll do more and advance, and I’ll look forward to that.
@@HippoBytes oh ok thanks for letting me know making it clear with me that you don't write this to pit out your opinion at all that you are just stating the facts yes don't get me wrong i think it's ok to give feedback because like you said if everything is ruled by committee then we will never make great strides with improve on things i agree but thanks for sharing i hope you have a great day take care!
@@wg8561 I watch retro rgb quite a bit & remember he went over some 5200 controllers someone made. Seems pricey and like it might require some building though. Just got one of these off eBay. Thought it would be a cool toy to play around with. PC mode is a game changer if steam access is easy on it. Might be good for when I travel for work.
Just ordered one last night. It's going to sit beside my series X and ps5. Does anyone know how the atari would stack up against the first alienware alpha?
@@HippoBytes ...it had variables. So right now...I would like to go finish E.T. again...see how quick I could get him home. @@F1JV there were a few random things in Raiders but also the score. I think seeing where things stand game wise 6 months from now will be important.

i still haven't beaten raiders of the lost ark...gotta get back to it one of these days. I was very young and must not have read the manual I guess :)
Yeah, you should give it a try now. I may just go redo gameplay tonight.
@@HippoBytes I'd check it out at least to learn how to play...wanna keep it somewhat fresh even if 30+ years late :)
I couldn't beat pitfall 2 on the 5200. Those controllers were trash.

I'll have to check out the PC mode. It wasn't very apparent on first view but I already have a PC so I didn't really look.

My guess would be the alpha would be more superior.
E.T is great game!
Haha! Seee! I don't know why it got so much flack. It had depth, a point, and a finish.
