I have also noticed and agree with you that it appears alot of these company's appear to be getting away from the .45 caliber. I would like to see them bring them back and also have a .40 option.
I’m not sold on Cosaint Arms. I have the exact same one. Had it for awhile now. Had put through 400 rounds through mine and it is now going back for the second time. Like you I like a double stack 1911 in 45acp. Since there are not a lot of companies that make them, I thought I found the holy grail of companies. However, I can’t trust the reliability of the gun so I can’t carry it. Greg is very nice and responds quickly. However, being a shooter for over 25 years, I really don’t care for someone’s first comment to be “are you gripping it correctly”. Don’t blame the shooter over your product. That is my first suggestion to you Greg. I had took video to show him to say it’s not me but your product. Shouldn’t have to do that. From what he told me I was the second person to get it in this configuration. The first person he told me was also having issues. The gun continually has failures to go into battery. If he doesn’t fix it this go around, on the selling block it will go. While this gun is nice, it is no Staccato and I have every model. If Staccato sold a double stack 45, then this gun would have already been sold. So buyer beware on this company.
I am sure Greg will make it right for you! I have 4 Cosaint’s and all run flawlessly, my 45 single stack is the softest shooting .45acp I own and very accurate!
Greg acquired a customer from this video, cant agree with your praises more. Called and spoke directly to the man himself. Super friendly and easy to work with. Excited to see the outcome of my build!
There’s plenty of reasons to choose to carry 9mm over the .45 or to simply choose a 9mm overall… but there’s NOTHING like the feeling a .45 brings… its a whole different animal when you go with the .45
I think if they start making all .45s able to handle 45super out of the box it would help bring .45 back to life... ability to go from 185s at 1300 ft/sec 700ft lbs to 250 grain hardcast at 975 ft/sec to 230 grain ball would be beautiful
I agree, but the headache of tuning spring weights to specific power levels would allow some to get frustrated and blame the gun or manufacturer. I plan on exploring 45 super in the near future, just deciding on the best piece to get for it. The items in this video are above my budget, but I don't want to go lowest possible either.
I don't know if this an 'apples to oranges' question, but I really value your opinion. Being on a lower budget than you I'm being very picky as to which double stack to 'pull the trigger' on, excuse the pun. I like the Cosaint Arms, Cos21 in ..45, but, I like the Staccato P and their decades long of building guns. I realize Costaint is a new company and probably very good. However, Staccato is established and now used by many LEO's. Seriously, if you only could buy one, like me, which would you pick, the Cosaint? Or the Staccato P?
Can’t go wrong with Staccato. Great guns for the price. Cosaint owner was the ceo at staccato for a long time so you will have great quality there as well.
Disagree with Cosaint arms being of quality. Had mine in the shop twice now. Go with Staccato! More reliable and better quality. Have them both and hands down my Staccato is a better gun. I know I can pick that thing up months from now and it will always run.
Stop bashing ! You are obviously a Staccato fan ! So praise your favorite, yes but don’t bash the other product to elevate your opinion of your favorite!
With all three in hand, how does the Cosaint Arms hold up in your opinion? Getting ready to 'pull the trigger' on either the Staccato or the Cosaint Arms, however, Houston PD, US Marshall,s and many other PD's going with the Staccator, oh, so is Jarrett World Champion
Jay I love the Atlas Ares and Im definitely going to get one eventually but that price tag is holding me back. Really looking for a commander .45. Having trouble finding the Sti tactical you have. Is there another one you would suggest taking a look at? Thanns

Because they're used for competition

I've always had a 1911 . Now I'm wanting a 2011 Officer after seeing these .

That’s the perfect look
All the cool kids rack from the front!
Thanks for the comparison. You always seem to have the guns I’m looking for. Thanks for sharing all the details on these.
Which of these 45s have a ramped barrel or they traditional 2 piece setup?

Where did you get that tree bark grip from? I need one!

Go with Staccato. This company still has bugs to figure out on their firearms. They don’t run or are reliable as a Staccato.
I call bull crap !
I have 4 that run flawlessly
What concealed carry holster do you use for the Cosaint Arms? Does it use same mags as Staccato?
Yes. Same mags as Staccato, MBX and Atlas mags. For my 3:30 carry, I use Purekustom.com holster for appendix I use LAS concealment
