Hey Jay love that thing! I just picked one up and I have a staccato p grip sitting around do you know if it will fit on the cosaint? Thanks in advance
Yes. The P grip fits.
@@JayMacklin thanks brother 💯💯💯💯❤️
Thanks for the video. I’m going to check out that holster for my Staccato CS.
Great video as I own a atlas Titan than I ported and have been looking at the nighthawk thanks again
Cool channel with some stuff you don't see elsewhere. (I sold my CS as well. I wasn't a fan at all after shooting it a few times.) Now, which DS 1911 do I get next. SO many options that appeal to me.
Nice shooting Jay! What pistol was that ?
Me want the COS21…
Ugggggggggggggly… But also better than what I got. Which is nothing!
Nice bet it’s a smooth shooter!
Bull Just gets a cameo?
Definitely wasn’t from a low ready but still fast
Thanks. Target was 10 yds away so pointed at the floor.
Help with holsters IWB an OWB for Wilson an Bul Armory
Wow 😮
What holster can I get for this gun?
How many rounds does the .45 full sized grip carry compared to the compact .45?
Jay, what rounds are you shooting in your .45? Are you trying any hollow points or other carry rounds? Do you have any that hang up on the feed ramp? Thank you.
Here is my video on Staccato XC vs Cosaint COS21 V10 ported ua-cam.com/video/eA6RRKRSzc8/v-deo.htmlsi=4cDka-IP-vB4dF_O
Handled one. Felt like the Staccato CS was a better gun fit and finish.
Please please help. Any info was be great? Which 17RD magazine staccato, atlas and nighthawk has the best flush fit. I don't like the silver of the magazine.. which magazine shows less? I heard atlas magazine is a little longer so it show more? Thank you sir..
What type/size wedge are you running?
The Cosaint (pronounced co-sent per the company owner, Greg) is a super nice gun for sure. You have ruined yours for carry Jay by adding the top porting. You may be aware that many shootings occur in low light situations. Porting out the top of your gun is great to help it shoot flat for your videos, but in lower light the hot gases ported out the top of your Cosaint may very well blind you. That could get you killed. A DEA agent friend advised me the one thing you DO NOT want to do on your carry gun is put any porting on the top of the pistol.
Thanks @bradleyp14. I appreciate your concern for my well being. Are you Aware that Greg, the owner of Cosaint ports his guns from the factory like this? Have you shot a chunk port pistol?
Hi Jay.........yes, I am aware the porting can be done by Cosaint.....using his Custom Builder feature. His advertising pictures for the Compact Officer and Sub-Compact Commander show no porting you'll note. Porting is certainly a very functional feature to help reduce muzzle flip.. For target shooting and competitive shooting it's a nice upgrade. I have not shot a ported pistol yet but I'm sure it would be fun and an eye opener. I will, however, be keeping my CS un-ported for daily carry. I would be shocked if any Staccato ordered for duty carry would ever be ported. I commented in another video of yours that my top pick is the CS due to Staccato being embraced by many hundreds of law enforcement departments. Try and track down the February 2023 Staccato 2011 review in Shooting Illustrated. The U.S. Marshals Service went with Staccato and now over 900 law enforcement departments or agencies have approved the Staccato for duty use. That kind of confidence in a manufacturer is what I want in the gun I bet my life on. Cosaint may get there someday but right now they're just too new to have built such a superior reputation. By the way, I thought Staccato's double stack magazines were over priced at $70. Cosaint's at $125 each is just crazy.
The whole ports will blind you thing is categorically false. Myself and my friends shoot night matches all the time with ported guns and it's an absolute non issue. Your dea agent friend like 90% of police officers have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to firearms. People need to stop spreading these stupid fuddlore firearms myths.
Thanks for a very nice review. Just got the CS after learning of the many hundreds of law enforcement agencies which have approved the Staccato brand for duty. Haven't heard anything similar about the Cosaint yet. As noted below in another comment, it's pronounced "co-sent" per the owner.....not "co-saint." Here is Greg taking about his company: ua-cam.com/video/Qdmr1nw7ezY/v-deo.html
Awesome review on two unique and superior quality target handgun's. They can go 100,000 to 200,000 rounds. Barrels lasting 50K to 100K rounds from what I have read. The Infinity Strayer-Voigt have been fired 10K rounds to 20K rounds no breakages. And barely any wear on internal parts. 38,000 rounds Ejector broke. 5K rounds recoil spring replaced I believe. Peace
You sold me. Quality holster for quality guns. No 1911/2011 should ever be in kydex
Jay, have you tried the COS11 Single stacks that Greg makes ?
Interested in getting a set up like this. What product are you connecting the holster too? (sorry new to this stuff)
Purekustom.com
QLS from safariland is the fork connector.
That’s the flattest shooting pistol I’ve seen thus far.
Great video Jay, very informative and professional! I need to do a few head to head Cosaint shoutouts like I did with the Prodigy. My Cosaints always find their way into my range bag. My go to builder now !
Staccato FTW !
Nice video man!
Really enjoy your channel. Thank you for the comparison.
Any experience with the double stack 45’s?
I have been testing the Cosaint Double Stack Compact 45 with V6 ports… the one they featured at shot show 2024 … nice big bore beast in a compact package
Does the COS21 fit the same holsters as a Staccato CS?
Not the full dust cover COS21 but the non full dust cover will.
I've ordered a 4.25" reversed crowned chunk ported 10mm in Distressed Burnt Bronze with the Cheely E2 grips. I'm convinced that the grips from Atlas & Cheely are the best on the market. I told Mr Mooney that he was tasked with making me one of the best 10mm that he's ever produced. Hopefully, I have it within the next few months
great comparison. want one of these Cosaint w the chunk port but the company seems to prefer the vporting.. which seems like it's louder on the guns I've shot w Vporting.. really like it that they offer steel frame, full shroud.. would be perfect.. i know alloy frames work and nobody had issues with C2, CS.. so should be fine but man I just want steel frames and better belt's/ holsters.. not lighter guns.
We love skipsgunz 🫡
*promosm* 👍
Jay, how would this stack up against the Wilson 3.25” Sfx? I have both a CS and the Wilson and recently ported my Cs but thinking about off loading one and getting a steel framed Cosaint 3.5
It would compare very well from a quality standpoint. The internals on the Cosaint are Wilson parts. I jettisoned the CS because the Cosaint became my main small carry gun. The Cosaint has way more personalized and customized options and doesn’t need proprietary mags like the Wilson and CS. The grip you see is an Atlas Ares grip and you just can’t do that on the Wilson or CS.
@@JayMacklin thanks Jay. I have a Cs and Sfx and thinking of getting rid of one for the Cosaint. The Ares grip looks great. Unfortunately you can’t get that on the Cosaint either unless you already have an Ares, but you can do a similar Cheely. Although, rumor is that Atlas will be selling their grips soon.
love that pistol ❤
Which of these 45s have a ramped barrel or they traditional 2 piece setup?
I've had a Pure Kustom Black Ops Pro holster for my Springfield 1911 champion operator for 15 years. I got it shortly after Rocky came out with them. Outstanding holster. Daily driven. Super comfy. My only regret is that I didn't have Rocky put a design on it. I use it mainly for CCW IWB. But I also use it OWB in training classes that require OWB holsters. I'm usually the only guy in the class with a leather holster. It has softened a bit but I don't see any need to reharden. It draws and re-holsters beautifully. I need to have Rocky make a few more for me.
Great video Jay, I have over 5000 rounds through my 4 Cosaint Arms pistols , 2 single stacks and 2 double stacks, if you like that office size try the Full size with V10 ports it will amaze you how the recoil and muzzle rise is even less, very fast and flat and extremely accurate. Cosaint Arms is my go to builder !
@JayMacklin have you had any issues ejecting and feeding hollow points? Curious what ammo you carry.
Not at all. This has been a very issues free gun. I use Speer Gold dot 124 and Federal HST 124.
What belt is that?
Quick question bro! What's the dimensions for the atlas grip compared to the cheely grip? Looking for the slimmest one for a c2
I’ll measure.
Just ordered mine due to your review. Thank you.
Atlas should really consider selling their grips(all of them), they would literally take over if they did.
AGREED!!
Yep, I machined a chunk port style in my C-2, Crowned the muzzle inside the comp, thinned the grip and stippled it, diamond lapped the bore to 1 micron, Milled the slide and hard fit a delta point pro, did a full trigger job, and did a full sear and hammer job. (The somewhat expensive Staccatos have nothing more than a drop in sear and hammer. Inexcusable)! Installed Atlas trigger shoe and bow which I fully polished along with the disconnector. (I don't get Staccatos charge for a flat trigger shoe. . It's a fifty buck part and takes minutes to install. I think a lot has gone to their heads! Their is no reason it should be an up charge from the get gol Staccato told me I voided the warranty. I ask them one question. If your gun is of quality, (and I checked it well and shot it in before any work began), exactly why do I need a warranty? Cricketts! KnifeMaker/Retired after 47+ years in the Shop.
Save some for the rest of us!
Im driving ovwr to the factory next week to pick my build out...any advice would be appreciated
I think u nailed it on the head if your not looking to break the bank Cosaint is a great budget option
Where is that grip on the atlas sight? Can’t find it
Unfortunately they don’t sell it
Great range toy. Horrific carry gun. Jay take a few force on force classes. Your thinking on carry guns will change forever.
I’ve had several FOF classes. Why do say that?
After instructing around 100 classes and taking half as many with other instructors what did you learn? 99.99% of the time not only are you not looking thru an optic your not even looking at your sights. You better be point shooting or you’re dead. And 9 out of 10 times your shooting while running backwards off axis with compressed armed position. Never are you looking at optics and almost never sights. *simple test. Have your wife take a butter knife and stand 25 feet in front of you and when she decides have her run at you with that knife. Your lying if you tell me you had time to find a red dot or front sight post.
And you forgot. You’re not getting that fancy carry pistol back anytime soon if ever from evidence. Took me three years to get my pistol back and I was not even charged because was in self defense. *again range toy fun is one thing. Real world life or death it’s exactly the opposite.
@@uutube243 that is complete dribble. What does that have to do with my video? Are you drunk?
The major problem with todays UA-cam warriors is no actually experience. You are NOT law enforcement. You are NEVER perusing a suspect offensively. You’re not taking pot shots from 30 yards away looking thru optics taking your sweet time like if at the range. The ONLY time you’re using that pistol is DEFENSIVELY after all other options fail and you believe you will die. That means your not standing still arms pressed out looking thru a red dot. That’s a damn joke fantasyland.
