The base looks great that you updated. The paint also brought out the natural design in the wood - first drawer. Great job! Way to be on-trend for your area.
Very nice! You always do what sells; furniture has always been trendy. Have a custom shop in Phoenix and have always built extra pieces of furniture that sells. Allows me to build all pieces at a lower cost to me and increases sales. That trim is called J molding we used it a lot in the 80's what you did was perfect. If you ever damage it beyond repair in the future let me know I still have rolls of it
Love what you did to this dresser. Isn’t it amazing what a bit of paint and some elbow grease can do for a piece of furniture! Love your channel, keep up the great work 👍🥰
Wow! I love the way this turned out. I probably wouldn't have replaced the inlays but wow, great decision...I love the way it looks with the handles and the update on the base. Beautiful ❣️
That is a lovely shade of pink. The finished product is beautiful and classy. You have such an eye for flipping furniture. I also appreciate how you tell us what you are doing and why you are doing it. Good job!!!
I just paused at the color choice!!! I personally Love that color!!! Basically, I Love any color (other than Hunter green for some reason?). This piece, to me, looks sooo Art Deco which I Love that style. The color makes it more Art Nouveau!!! 🌸🌹🌸 yay Chris with the jigsaw!!! Love making patterns with what you have available!!! Now I’m watch the rest of the video!!! So far Loving!! Especially, you trying to save the gold inlays!!!
The dresser turned out beautifully. Of course, you as you said, you are in a high market area. I am just getting into bleached wood but I do not resale. Thank you for all of your hard work entertaining your viewers.
Besides making candles, I also flip furniture as well. When I started getting into redoing furniture I was absolutely amazed at the amount of furniture that people throw away that can be refurbished to look new and modern. I grabbed a solid maple coffee table for free that someone left by the curbside for the trash guy.
This color….🤔but I’m really not the one to ask! I have absolutely no design sense! However, I’d like to learn! I live in Texas as well. But don’t exactly have my thumb on the pulse fashion-wise! I enjoy your videos and hope to learn more!
Alas, I've never been into pink, nor do I see it much, if at all, in furnishings in my part of California, however, you've certainly improved the piece.
Nice. Love that color. I would have put some gold gelding wax on the 1 large drawer with the wave pattern to highlight it. But good job.🙏💖🌻🎆🎆🎉🎉🇺🇸🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July🎆🎆🎆🎉🎉🎉
I absolutely LOVE that color! I'm not sure how that color sells in my area but it's beautiful!! That's a great profit and well worth it after all the work you and hubby did!!
Very attractive style dresser. Even with the flip it still has a retro feel. The updated look is great! Is that color more like a dusty rose? Btw the hardware is so pretty and the pop of gold works well!
I think it's pretty and really like how you changed the base but where I live it would only be good for a little girl's room. I'm glad you were able to re-use the gold trim. I might have experimented with highlighting the carved drawer fronts in a contrasting color to make them stand out. But hey, I'm just an armchair quarterback furniture flipper.
Hey Kara - love the color! It would not sell here unfortunately and not for that good of a price. I wish!! One of these days I’ll try a sprayer.- it looks so much faster. Thanks for sharing!
It is so much faster! I am spoiled by it! With the heat I have painted the last 2 pieces by hand inside. I forgot how long it takes! Thanks for watching
Good catch Denise! A good friend gave me a whole lot of different paint to try and so my next handful of flips will be with those brands. I am loving branching out! Thanks for watching!
Where do you get your mask? Also is there a way to get the paint off your garage floor and walls? I’m renting and afraid if I spray paint it’ll get on it.
Order my mask from :RZ Masks Link: bit.ly/3g8Q5cr Save 10% use code:: LEMONS my paint is water based BUT I would invest in a large tarp if I was a renter
On my computer the color is a rose pink - not terra cotta at all. Obviously this dresser had to be painted because of all the divits in it, but I always clear coat over paint to make the paint last longer.
I search a lot on FBM and look at what others are selling for. Also after selling a handful of pieces, it gives you a good feel of what people are willing to pay. We talk a lot about this on my Patreon page if you are interested in joining that!
i am in the PNW. this color does not sell well. green, blue, gray alone or mixed. the gray blue with green under tones is bomb here. of course white and light beige work well.
Well in all honesty, most pieces these days are very expensive veneer with particle board underneath as the main frames. They really don't make furniture like they used to in the 60's. Pieces from that era are usually all wood.
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture Not questioning what you charge as you have the time and materials in it. You only have the furniture you can find to work with. Just sad that most people don't care about construction or don't know the difference. I'm sure that dresser will serve someone fine if they don't abuse it.
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture Hello there...so nice to hear from you. with the high temps here in Houston is not too much to do outside the house...but so far I enjoy summer while it lasts...my favorite season is winter...u can do more and NO MOSQUITOS!!! lololol
The pink and gold are beautiful together. It lifted the piece up out of the doldrums. Very classy.
Thank you Dianne! I think so too!
I like pink color on this piece of furniture
Thank you Kathleen!

Aww thank u Lee! I love a nice piece of trendy furniture ❤️
If I was to build a house, I would have turned something like that into a bathroom vanity.
That would be beautiful wouldn’t it!!
I love 80s dressers and you do them so well Kara she’s beautiful 😻
Thank u! You know I love them so ❤️😂
I was not a fan of the color until I saw it finished. That is just beautiful!!
Thank you so much! I appreciate you tuning in! Hope to see you next time!
you do beautiful work! You bring life back to those outdated pieces of furniture. And I really like the color choices you apply.
Love what you did to this dresser. Isn’t it amazing what a bit of paint and some elbow grease can do for a piece of furniture! Love your channel, keep up the great work 👍🥰
@Hometowngirl321 Thank you! I really appreciate you being here! Hope to see you next time!
I love how the dresser turned out! I am not sure how the color would sell in our market, but I can't imagine that redone dresser not selling.
Wow! I love the way this turned out. I probably wouldn't have replaced the inlays but wow, great decision...I love the way it looks with the handles and the update on the base. Beautiful ❣️
Thanks so much! I know it was a risk with all of the gold!
Another lovely colour. Loved the shaped bottom to the dresser.
That color was popular in the 80s too! So funny that these things are coming back. Gold leaf is my favorite!

I JUST LOVE DUSTY ROSE PINK, best ever !!!
Whew! So glad your gold trim popped back in those grooves! The dresser turned out beautifully! Loved the color 🌸🌸

Love what you did. The base is definitely more modern. I like that color but don’t love it.
Super beautiful and bold!
I think the color to quirky as well as elegant in the right home

Gorgeous colour. I could see that in my bedroom if the other half walked around with his eyes closed. Your styling is just gorgeous.

Living for your hat! 😎 The new base shape and hardware color are the perfect compliment to the pink This turned out beautiful, Kara.

Wow! So Art Deco. Beautiful job, Kara! Thank you. xo

Not crazy about the color. Glad it sells in your area.

You certainly have an eye. I didn't like the style, inlays or the color. But, LOVE the end product. That's why you do this and not I!!!

I know! It’s amazing how many just toss it! Our ugly duckling piece on here was a curb side find! It’s one of my fav flips!
Gorgeous 💜💜
Thank you Kim!
I love NKOTB hat💕💕... and I love this flip
Love me some NKOTB!
Really enjoying your channel, so informative.

Love the color, it turned out so beautiful! It’s so easy to watch your videos. I always take something away from them to use in my painting. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Zonya! the color is a bit more terra cotta in person but it has a beautiful almost sparkle to it. It didn't last long once I listed it!
Pink would be a tough sell here in Oregon. I actually like it as it reminds me of my childhood!
Me too ;) thanks for watching!

😀😀 came across this one again and still haven’t tried a sprayer! Someday…. And I still love this color! Have a great week
Very pretty
Thank you! 😊
Do you have a video on how you set up your spray gun?
Hi Kara, what a change for this piece! Just curious, what made you try Dixie Belle Silk since you always use Sherwin Williams brand?
Good catch Denise! A good friend gave me a whole lot of different paint to try and so my next handful of flips will be with those brands. I am loving branching out! Thanks for watching!
Isn't that an eighties color? I'm watching you paint the drawers and figuring you'll pull it off!
And you did!
Lol yes!! This one was a hit! Totally 80s & BOHO as my Dallas market says 😂
It sold quickly! Thanks for watching!
Nice

Not if the paint has a built-in topcoat already in it it will most likely crack the paint underneath. Thanks for watching!
This question has probably been asked a lot. Where did you have your wood brand made? Thank you.
Etsy!
so pretty
Thank you Janet!
Have a question. How do you determine what the market value of your flipped piece is worth - how do you know what the market is in your area?
I search a lot on FBM and look at what others are selling for. Also after selling a handful of pieces, it gives you a good feel of what people are willing to pay. We talk a lot about this on my Patreon page if you are interested in joining that!
i am in the PNW. this color does not sell well. green, blue, gray alone or mixed. the gray blue with green under tones is bomb here. of course white and light beige work well.
Isn’t funny how different areas gravitate toward colors? Anything remotely grey here is taboo! 😂 thanks for your comment and for tuning in!

Wow - can't believe somone paid so much for particle board. I guess some folks don't care or know the difference.

I do not like that particular color for a large piece...I may tone it down a bit and will not use gold on it.
