The Roaming Cook is an upcoming youtube star - super knowledgeable, speaks Thai, has Thai friends, interacts with the locals, goes to obscure locations, nice guy, not annoying at all. I feel like the Brits adapt to SE Asian culture really well and integrate so well.
I suffered for many years with heartburn and indigestion that doctors couldn't resolve in Australia and the UK. I took a trip to Vietnam where I got quite sick from tourist food on a tour I was pushed to go on because I was travelling with a friend - after antibiotics and probiotics over a week I traveled to Thailand and stayed in Ubon Ratchathani eating local food with extreme chilli and garlic.... My problems were solved - gut bacteria reset and I felt much healthier..... I so rarely eat anything other than street food in Thailand.... I've only ever been a visitor there although I just put a deposit on a place to buy..... cheapest end of the market but with any luck I can eventually move there permanently in a few years time...

Was it the antibiotics and probiotics that cured your gut, or was it the extreme chili and garlic? I'd love to visit Thailand, but I have stomach issues so i need to be prepared if I do take the trip
@@sn7miller I'm guessing a combination of both... The antibiotics kill most bacteria good or bad, probiotics help to build good bacteria again, and chilli/garlic (and possibly other good things in the Thai foods) helped to stop any other nasties while the new bacteria in the gut flourished... @@LoveUnlimit Thanks Kuakui... You may well be right, although I mostly ate larb, somtum, pla pao, moo krata, etc. Which doesn't usually have too many other spices...

Hiya Paddy and Gary, Love the food videos. They always make me feel hungry. The best food is always made with love. The lift was freaky. I would no way be able to get near the edge. My palms were sweaty, looking at you two up there. 🤣Beautiful views. The skyline and sky looked amazing. Great video. Good vibes. Thank you for sharing. Have a great week.🤗
That was bloody brilliant - really enjoyed it. MInd you - I got vertigo watching you both at the end. Will need to put that on my list of things to do next time we come over. Very entertaining and informative (as usual). You are looking far more relaxed Paddy :-)
Absolutely loved this video.....You and Gary made me laugh sooo much when you were going up in the lift and walking out onto the glass floor. I could feel your pain, as I'm terrified of heights too. Gary's face was also priceless when he was on the back of Dreamy on the way to the rooftop bar :)
I'm Thai who live in Bangkok's old town. Wow...you guys know Auntie Pien's fried noodle stall by small canal. That's one of my old-school eating spots in that area and I didn't expect any Farangs to know this hidden gem. You're truly a streetfood swashbuckler!!!Hats off to you😊☺😚

What a video 👌 That was so entertaining, many laughs😂 Two of my favorite vloggers at same video. Part one Gary puts his best and Part two Paddy👌more this🙏
You are one of UA-camrs that sense the authentic Thai very well. I can feel that. Good job. :D I bet, you have lived here and experienced things for a year or so.
Loved the PSA on being a first timer and getting over "Bangkok Belly," so true and I wish/hope more people explore these alleyway/hole in the wall/street foods in Thailand. I was raised on Los Angeles taco trucks (I'm talking "roach coaches" in the 80s/90s before the Great Truck Explosion of the 2010's), so I was not at all averse to trying Street Food in Thailand on my first trip, AND YET I had my fair share of stomach/digestive issues for a few days my first there. But literally never had it again, been back several times and road tripped throughout Central/Northern Thailand, and the FOOD is literally why I go back. Oh... and the Lao Kao! Love this video!
What an amazing experience enjoying street food with a good mate and thanks for the links I know where I’ll be going when I’m in the area . Definitely I enjoy liver it’s so good for you . Thanks mate for sharing another fantastic Vlog .
Another excellent film from you guys...well done Paddy &Gary! Always wondered about that tower and so great to see you partaking of a somewhat vertiginous couple of libations with that wonderful view.
Great looking dishes and connections with the cooks! Wonderfully appropriate and enjoyable music! But that tower -- sitting in the pickup with family on the way back from Hua Hin on Friday, that tower caught my eye. I thought how cool it would be to venture into one of those blocks that jut out of the irregular sides of the tower. And (poof) here you and Gary are. You'll never get me onto that glass floor. I can't do it at the CN Tower in Toronto, so definitely not here. I'd have trouble drinking a beer up there. Kudos to you and Gary for being such entertaining dare-devils. dcb
Brilliant Paddy fab movie. You Gary have a great rapour and work well together and the food looked soooo good. You both made us laugh to go on the scary glass roof thing lol
Another top vlog with Gary, Paddy! I love street food and those alleyways would get me excited. And that rooftop view looked absolutely stunning! I'd love to see you and Gary go visit one of the Floating Markets. Possible future vlog?
Thanks for the recommendation Paddy ! , we had our 1st Thailand trip in 2023 and in our first few days in Bangkok we made a beeline to the crab curry lady in this vid , in a country of amazing street food this was absolutely amazing 👍👍
