    Holy moly, the tone comin from the revival and the Les Paul 😳 Gritty, dirty, yet defined warm and energetic. It’s as good as it gets already with everything at 12 o’ clock. Except it gets even better after tweaking it. Wow, just WOW! Great playthrough, thanks @Rabea

    Love the more knob at least in this demo! I love no negative feedback, its what give VOXs their harmonic complexity and also what the Recto Red channel has for that massive sound.

    All iterations of the Revival drive sounds incredible. They're the closest thing to actual "amp-in-a-box" pedal - in feel and tone. They sound great live, they sound great on recordings, feel good to play, what else could one possibly want?
    It is pricy, indeed, but if you consider this might actually be THE sound people are going for when they want a british crunch, classic-vibe with modern features, buying this instead of 3-4 pedals that don't get this close might be just as much money if not a bit cheaper.

    The post-drive adj control is incredibly powerful because it's a sort of tilt EQ. Rotating anti-clockwise from center both rolls off bass while boosting highs. Rotating clockwise from center allows more bass to come through from the pedal settings while rolling off highs.

    Had the original compact three months or so love it generally use it as an always on infront of a small plexi style amp. Wasn't aware of the new hotrod version till this landed on my feed thanks for the Demo, don't think my wallet could handle stacking another :) (A comparison on same settings would be cool, Id hazzard a guess I am good as don't need the extra gain on tap, stacking could be fun tho!) Your Chapman model honestly made the pedal come alive for me. The articulation was more defined and your guitar brought out an almost 3D sound to the pedal.
    The previous guitar, even though it obviously sounded totally different, it was not nearly alive.
    And, come on, LOL, who in their right mind would own a MB and have the desire to use a drive pedal in lieu of that Italian masterpiece? 😁

    I´VE A BOSS KATANA ... Great demo Rabea. I have a petition: I think that you have to be the one that demo any of the Origin Effects pedals through a Boss Katana because you have put a lot of Katanas in ours rooms and I want a Origin Effects pedal but don´t know if I would need to get another amp or not. Amazing people of Origin Effects pay Rabea another demo because I think that I am noI the only one that have a wolderfull katana and want one of your amazing pedals. If you Rabea, or other guys in UA-cam, tell me that I need a tube amp to use those pedals in their maximun potential, I will save money for that and then get a pedal. Thank you.

    • @jordandangelo180
      @jordandangelo180 2 роки тому

      I play this through my Katana and Valve amps along with the Origin Effects Cali 76 and they both sound awesome through a Katana. The Katana is built to sound like a tube amp. I bet in a blind A - B comparison with the Katana vs a variety of tube amps you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. Sometimes I prefer my Katana over my Fender tube amps! Haha just more options and easily accessible verb and delay. I love the Brown channel on lower gain with pedals.

    • @RabeaMassaad
      @RabeaMassaad  3 роки тому +1

      I usually always go for amp overdrive tones first. If I need more, I’ll blend a pedal or pedals with it to get the sound I need, but alternatively if I had a clean amp only, I would prefer to use something like this, I’m not sure the best way to describe this type of pedal, but it recreates the signal path of an amp. Kind of gets rid of the clean sound or rather blend the overdrive really nicely with the clean sound.
      Either that, or I’d would stack pedals again. Maybe an OD, comp, possibly even fuzz and EQ.
      That’s if I were trying to get a high gain tone from a clean amp
