Taylor leaving her video cam for three straight minutes in the middle of nowhere just to get that end car drive shot is the confidence I need in my life. Loved the photos btw, especially the ones in the end when the sun was setting and the light was beautiful. Good job Taylor!

Hi Taylor! Your channel is new to me. It showed up on my feed because I had been watching several videos about Death Valley because I was there a few weeks ago. Your title caught my attention, and so I clicked on it. And through the mysterious and inexplicable powers of the alignment of the universe, our paths crossed. I'm that guy in the foreground at 9:37! I don't recall where exactly I was (all the days seemed to have blended into one another) but I might have been coming back from a morning shoot in the Golden Canyon. I had my backpack loaded and I was eager to get back to the car to make breakfast, so I had my head down and didn't notice anyone filming. I watched several of your other vids and I love the liberating vibe you got going. It feels like you're living in the moment and capturing what comes to you. And the look of your film is awesome. Death Valley is an awesome place to photograph in both color and black and white. Need to get up early to capture the perfect dunes moth nature creates every night. Did a 3 day trip to DV while getting my degree in photography from Palomar College. Shout out to Donna for all her guidance during this trip. Thanks for sharing and safe travels

I particularly must thank you for giving me, through your videos, the kick to jump the analog fence. I have been using digital cameras for almost 20 years, and I was recently bequeathed old film cameras that I clean up... and tried out. And it was a blast, like rediscovering photography., pure joy :)

I love this style of cinematography, desaturated colors, symmetrical shots (probably inspired from Wes Anderson) and the composition which shows the grand scale of the wonders of the world compared to a tiny human. Also what I love is the silence, which I absolutely do not get to experience here in India. So yeah, this video is almost therapeautical for me, haha.
Also, GREAT PHOTOS, sorry I forgot to mention this in my comment above, guess I need some therapy to sharpen up my memory, haha.

A layered mountain scene is beautiful but the photos you took I found the lighting to be uniform in most of them. I prefer photos with more contrast and volume with dramatic lighting.

My issue is all the equipment I want to bring, Got a D7200 with a array of Sigma glass plus a tripod. If I want to do 4k Video then I need my Sony-ZV-E10 also. Even more crap to lug around. It's almost a catch 22 when taking pictures, you spend a lot of time setting up and looking for a decent shot while not really experiencing the nature because your so preoccupied. At least this is what I have experienced as an amature.

Been going there all week. Would have been so great to spot you in the wild. I noticed our eyes were drawn to the same things. The rolls at Zabriskie Point and all of the bright yellow flowers that contrast with the dark landscape so well.
If you are still around, there is a dirt road going into the southside of the Eureka Dunes. Very remote and rugged road (still 2 hrs away from the dunes). But the mtns there are gorgeous during sunrise and I spotted an makeshift mine setup and old vehicles. I couldn't make it all the way down the road but I bet there are gems. The mine/truck I saw are also documented on this channel:

hey I like these silent videos a lot but I have a very difficult time concentrating. so I had a thought: if you put a couple of calm and ambient songs in the background to make it a bit stronger but carry the same emotion, that would be brilliant. anyway thank you for creating!!
