11-07-2010 Hi Its nice to see that a lot of people are picking up on this song since i put it on in January 2009. Maybe Lady Ga Ga would have done better but allaz it's quality that counts.
A great Bobby Bland devotee myself i cant make up which is the best his or Boz's version.
Luckily I Don't have to - i got both versions.
What strikes me the most is the energy that goes through the Boz Band on this date, when they play the song.
They looove it !!!! Same with the Bozz himself. He knows his roots and as a great Texan is passing it on.
I heard from Bobby Bland first on the great cover of the Band on Moondog matinee in i think 1971 of "Share Your love" and checked him futher out.
The Band as teenagers "The Hawks" with Ronnie Hawkins had two albums in 1962 that they loved to death;
The Rockin' Chair Album from Howlin' Wolf 1962 and "Two Steps from the blues" from Bobby 1961. Could be worse ! Read Greil Marcus about it.
"Share Your love" is of course from "Call on me" from 1963.
The Band made Moondog Matinee a lp full of covers of their favorite songs and where simply passing it on ( as Keith Richards would say ).
That's what this lot of muscians is doing here, Passing it on. I hope you young ones out there pick up on that.
For Boz, me myself from Holland, we don't ever get to see him here and that's a pity. You americans are lucky !
Boz don't needs my support he's doing fine , but I think that he is still seriously underrated as artists, singer en guitarplayer.

Wonderful cover of Bobby BLUE Bland

I will give you the lowdown on Boz he is an authentic Texas blues man. What can I say just that Boz is arguably the greatest singer of our generation. I mean that voice is just so so good and he is a true master of singing all the genres of modern music so if you think that Boz was just all about Silk Degrees just dig a bit deeper into his body of work and you will then know just how great this man really is.Love you Boz.

"Arguably" the greatest singer of our generation ?? I'm glad you added the 'arguably' in there Peter, because although Boz has a good and quite unique singing voice .. to say that he's the "greatest" is a gross overstatement. I won't try to name them all, but there are many singers out there that are much better singers than Scaggs. - Just a few who have come into the public spotlight recently .. OMH! I just found a place I can sit, kick it, reflect, just Enjoy being alive with ears that hear, hearst that feels, and SOUL that sings. Better be able to take this man on up to my final destination. Wouldn't be heaven without this voice belting the blues.
Seeing Mr. Scaggs tonight at "Jazz up July" in Stamford and cannot wait. One hour to go!

Very versatile artist, his '97 release Come on Home is a double serving of blues and fused with a whole lotta soul from some of his mentors as Jimmy Reed, Earl King and T-Bone. Boz hits 'Upper' Canada the end of June.

Love Boz's version of this. Bobby Blue Bland's 'Two Steps From The Blues' is an amazing album. For two of the best together try Bobby Bland & BB King - Together Again LIVE. Both are killer diller & at their peak!

This has been my favorite Bobby ' Blue ' Bland song for quite a while, but I had never heard anyone cover it. Boz Skaggs does it a lot of justice. I just added this video to my favorites. My favorites are about full and they are all great videos. You all should check it out.
