Warning make sure you get left and right pads correct
Probably saved me ngl
Yes, but you can clearly see a difference between the 2 pads.
This was super helpful, brother. Thanks!
For anyone that tries this at first and you don't see the plastic dowels, its because theres still the whole plastic ring to be removed. I spent way longer than I should've on this and got to a point to where I felt like I may be breaking the headphones, but there's literally a whole "3rd segment" underneath
Removing the second pad was much easier once I discovered what it actually felt like to remove the whole first one.
Hope that made sense and helps someone that may be stuck like I was.
You mean when removing the original earcups?
Thank you!
Life saving comment. I also thought I was breaking something but I only broke off a piece of the plastic ring with the ear cup then checked this video and saw the difference. What did it for me is the screws - they should be sticking out a little not in a hole within a plastic ring.

The holes are there to help you align it correctly, otherwise, you could end up with ear pads that are incorrectly placed. So, it’s there to help the workers that put them together originally, also.
How did u do it?
Not me thinking they clicked on and off 😂😂
Instead of using a sharp knife, you can used a flat top screwdriver. Please don’t unnecessarily cut yourself. Thank you., ER nurse
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. Apple quoted me 200 UK pounds for the pad replacement. I did it for 7 UK pounds. Subscribed and liked! Legend!
Thats a crazy rip off by them! It was like 10 bucks on Amazon to do yourself. Glad you didnt pay it
Thanks man ... Apple here in Brazil was thinking to ask me to leave my beats 500 km away (nearest apple store) for 90 days for the replacement. I ordered from Aliexpress (more easy to shop from Brazil) and just replaced and got very neat! Thanks!
My favourite thing is them not opening the alcohol cloth and properly cleaning the headset. But thank you, this was encouraging ❤️
Thank you :) First time changing my ear cushions and your video helped me.5 stars
I don’t feel comfortable taking my knife to my Beats. Scary!!!
Same here lol!!! I just bought a Ear Pads Cover instead.
Thank you sm for the vid bro, I used a knife and since it was my first time doing it my anxiety was through the roof, I got the first side off perfectly but the second one the leather ripped off and the plastic ring stayed on, I managed to get it off but did scratch underneath it, now usually id panic but since the replacement covers it up it calms me down 😅
With this video, it worked for the second (I saw others for the first one and I almost damage my ears-pads). Thank you.
Thank you for making this video. Helped me throughout the whole process in replacing my headphones 🎧
What happens if you break off the clips?? Because I broke off my clips from my left side of my headset
DON’T use a knife! 🙄 use a guitar pick or plastic electronics spduger
I used a switch blade knife.
cheers for the video, helped me replace my old ear cushions on my beats studio 3
thanks men 💪
Thank you !! I knew i was doing it wrong , thank goodness i decided to google and watch your video 😅 ! My headphones look brand new 🤩!
I watched it because i wanted to make sure i am not breaking my beloved😂
Thank you! I almost attached a new piece to a part that needed to be removed as well. Your video was very helpful!
Thank for shearing the video and explaning how to remove it , 🤜🤛 appreciated
This was super helpful. Thanks brother
amazing man i feel like i got a new pair of headphones now!
Super helpful, thanks
Great video! Thanks for the help
Great video!
Very informative!
Plus, I also got replacements from Wicked Cushions so this is perfect for me. :)
The original adhesive on the factory earcups seem a lot stronger than the adhesive on a replacement pair. I wonder how long the new earcups will last before the adhesive starts peeling. It wouldn’t surprise me if companies made crappy adhesive and a cheap warranty plan so the customer buys the cheap warranty not knowing it’s because the company knows that warranty will be used over and over.
You can add some silicone. I am using high temp black silicone and it works perfect.
I removed the yellow padding in the center part for my Studios B0501 because the old white padding in the center was stuck so had to box cut them out gently ofc.
Hopefully it doesn't effect the sound too much with the new pads, because it seem the new pads have a new filter on it.
So helpful, thank you.
Thank you for this video
Replaced the ear pads, mow the headphones won’t turn on?
Very useful
Thanks!
Great video! Really helped 👍
Really helpful. Thank you.
How long do they last?
helpful, thanks man
If you think im taking a knife to my fancy studio3 beats you lost your rabbit a$$ mind.
Is that the titanium color from wicked cushions?
Thank you
Replacement the pads now the earphones won’t turn on?
Thank you!!
How do I remove the old ones?
Your horrible attention to detail made me break the plastic elaborate the fact that you were cutting the seal so u can just pull it out…
Thank you for this!!
Bro how your ear custion looks so bad (Im talking about before replicement)
Heavy use. I use mine everyday almost all day and they are nasty
👍
I cant get them apart 😭😭😭😭😭
$300 for some PU faux leather junk. Laughable.
This is so low that so fancy headphones are so dumb to replace the pads. This should be nice and easy process and they could make some good money on selling replaceable pads separately instead of charging £200 at Apple Store as most of the users decides to change them on their own. They basically loose customers.
Lol, looks like he got the wrong color pads🤣🤣
They look better tho
Rhainuih
Thank you for the video im still here removing the adhesive 🥲
Thank you
