I was there filming back in March 2022. I got in straight after they opened borders and got some really good deals on golf and hotels. This was the hardest course and the most rewarding.
I played Don Valley today with a friend and we discussed golf in Thailand as a golf adventure, and then THIS shows up on top of my feed ! Beautiful course, wow 👌
Don’t play much in the rain? Being from Hawaii and having played rain or shine, there were days when scuba gear was better suited. Noticed you looking back a bit perplexed at your fat shots. I like to hit my irons on the 3rd groove aiming for club and ground contact at the same time. In the rain that shot will be fat. I therefore aim about an inch in front; for me it’s back of the ball to front in the rain. I live in Japan and buy the weekly Golf Digest for a cartoon series - I can’t read much else but I also enjoy the new equipment ads and the perennial swing sequences. The story now goes to Thailand and it got me looking into real estate, golf and perhaps relocating my family of three to Thailand. While scouting the net for info about Thailand, your vid appeared on my feed. Thanks for my first ever intro to golf courses there. I haven’t finished the video yet (you’re going to the 4th) but your swing, even in the rain, is so beautifully consistent. Putting on water sucks, don’t it?
Hi, welcome to my channel! I have very little experience golfing in rain haha can you tell? In Canada, we have nice summers and then many months of freezing snow, no tropical rain seasons here. Thanks for the suggestion on hitting irons on wet grounds! As for Thailand, a lot of people are looking to Thailand for golf! There are honestly very high quality golf courses that are not overly expensive. Especially since the other living expenses will be so much lower than most of the world, it makes sense overall. I would love to go back and play golf in different regions of Thailand. 😊 Putting on water is not fun 😂 like hitting a rock that won't roll properly
My favourite is Siam country club and Jack's club Laem Chabang has one of the best 9 hole layout in Thailand especially the par 3.. Definitely worth a vist and decent green fee
its kinda wild the course wouldnt allow even a half raincheck in those conditions you were in. im in okinawa and most of the courses would give a partial raincheck. but you had amazing playing even in that amount of rain.
I just double checked, we could've taken a raincheck on the greens fees only before hole 6 (for 18-holes) and no raincheck if you play more than 9 holes. However, we would have to pay caddie fees and cart fees again + transportation to and from. So basically like 30% of the overall cost we could save if we played again. We also flew out to Bangkok the next day so we couldn't take the raincheck anyway. I'm glad we pushed through the rain, I had a lot of fun seeing the entire golf course. 😊
Played there many times and you should go back and play when the sun is shining, its fantastic.
What a trooper. Thanks for persevering. Smiling through the ordeal. 🙂

Wow! That 18th hole looks spectacular. I really appreciate your efforts to sharing this course.
beautiful course and what a trooper you are to play in the rain, it's not easy, but you are still on a golf course not in a office.
Any day on the golf course is better than at work haha
Great course. 17 and 18 made playing in the rain worth it.
Thank you for sharing this. We are planning our golf trip next year to Thailand !
Props to you for playing in the rain and making content!
