I don't think it is necessary to refer school text for our preparation.
We should concentrate more on our syllabus and other materials based on our required qualification.

But for the literture portions I don't think it is needed.
For other subjects other than language, it is worth to refer the scert and ncert texts.

Mam....am now preparing for HSA..l saw ur video about preparing Hsa recently which was very effective and useful . I have a doubt . Hsa syllabus ith vare vannillallo. So last hsa syllabus anusarichano ipol prepare cheyyendath or syllabus varan chance ulla areas vachittano..

We don't have any other option other than the previous syllabus.
My humble suggestion is that along with the previous syllabus prepare linguistics, phonetics ,teaching of english, criticism e.t.c
