Ladies and gentlemen, today is the final repairs to my 2020 C8 Corvette. They finish up by replacing a cross member piece upfront and my front trunk tub.

Looks like the right rear wheel is a "bit" out of alignment, on the C6. ; I think your car, will be as good as it was before. Merry Christmas!
That passenger rear tire was tiny compared to the normal driver side tire. Merry Christmas to you and your family. 🎄😊
I didn't think for a minute the damage was that extensive. I thought it was cosmetic, makes me think about these guys that have lowered these cars.
Mike, your right side strut cavities have some corrosion. Look again. You need the covers. I see evidence of water being in there. I took a pic but can’t upload it to here.
I would agree there is definitely some corrosion going on in the webbing.

Dude, you should have told Jake at Statefarm and Pat M and AR your car should be scrapped. Its worth nada now. Next time use that Ron Fellows training looking ahead and avoid the big concrete pylon. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

do you guyy ever tried a suspension lift (+2 inches of ground clearance) on a corvette C8?
When I'll get my e-ray I want definetely improve the clearance of the vehicle. Along with awd means I can use it even in cold snowy winters.

You should keep the old Frunk Tub and auction it off. It would make for a great parts bin in someone's garage. 😉 It would also make for great storage bin to keeps one's chains in for Winter driving in parts of the Northeast. Like in NJ. (Hint, Hint. lol) Save the Wave🙋♂
I hear ya, but I already have way too much stuff at my house. If you want it, I could ship it to you, but it ain’t gonna be cheap.
Do you feel that the value of your car will go down due to all these repairs? Say you want to sell it or trade it, the repairs will show up on your carfax. I ask because my C7 had a Air bag deployment on a minor incident which is on my carfax. I would trade mine in but feel I will get less due to the carfax. Would Appreciate your thoughts. Did you put in the radiator screens while the car was apart? Probably too much of a hassle. Just get the car back together and home again.
I didn’t, I did that last year while it was being wrapped.

Is it the exhaust on the C6 that is different? Maybe boosted?
YOU HAVE BAD LUCK WITH YOUR CORVETTE’S.THE C7 Z06 HAD A BLOWN ENGINE AND BAD TRANSMISSION AND NOW THE C8 HIT A BIG CONCRETE ROCK AND CAUSED MAJOR DAMAGE. IF I WERE YOU I WOULD BUY A TRUCK AND FORGET THE CORVETTES.

I was re-watching and I found something that you and Neighbor Mark are going to have to do! I'll lose sleep until the Capt. is fully squared away. Go to the 12:03 mark on the video. Do you see the sticker on the underside of the Splitter on the Driver's side? THAT HAS GOT TO GO! Then the entire Splitter has to be Ceramic Coated. Maybe even install PPF. Hey, by doing the aforementioned it could save you a milli-second or two while on the track. Plus, I'll sleep better. 🤣

The best part of your incident like everyone else have said that you are fine after your accident it could have been a lot worse for YOU and your C8. Luckily for you too all the damage was to the underside of your C8 and everything were brand new pieces and not repaired parts.Captain America is like new except for the corrosions in the passenger side strut tower. You should take care of that and put the covers on them...cheap fix and you could probably get the company to send them to you on the arm by sponsorship.Safe driving and have a Merry Christmas and Happy and Healthy New Year!!!!!!!

That's Terrible mike. You go to RF in Vegas then you can't drive your car when you get back. It's like getting out of prison. Go easy on Capt America. It's a bit rusty even if the shock towers aren't.

Might be the right time to remove the CA wrap and sell the car. No matter how good Classic is, they removed and installed hundreds of factory bolts and washers. I know that you personified it by calling it "Captain America", but he will never be the same. Good Luck.
I hear ya, but a lot of those bolts and washers were removed when my exhaust was installed, so this wasn’t their first time being undone.

Outstanding pair of videos. Again, you were lucky that accident wasn’t worse. That concrete thing could have caused you to lose control and just have been seriously bad. Why is it titled “NOT GOOD!”? Looks good to me. Watching this gives me an even greater appreciation for the engineering complexity of the C8. And there’s plenty of room up in front for those electric motors coming soon.

I would be so paranoid about "something being in the road" after what happened to you.
I hear ya, but this was a rare thing, and I don’t think it will ever happen again.
In my C8 the strut tower would collect water when washing the car. A month after taking delivery I installed the strut tower covers and they where full of water and I never drove my C8 in the rain…
That’s crazy. I’m just glad that there wasn’t any rust in mine.
@@BrinkofSpeed Aluminum doesn't rust. It will corrode under certain conditions. It does develop a natural oxide coating that protects it. The bolts might rust, though. Strut covers won't keep water out. It's better if the strut mounts are visible so you can dry them out when they do get wet. If you are still concerned, try an anti-corrosion protector like Boeshield, which is commonly used in a marine environment.
