- Are your drums electric? Well, the MPS-850 is! Andy takes us to the drum department to check out the new flagship E-Drumkit from Millenium. A big thanks to Felix (now a Zultan Cymbal endorsee) from the band, Shoot The Day Down for playing some tasty beats.

I've learned to play drums on a electric kit but i think it is never comparable to a acoustic drumset. But I sure like the idea of having the possibility to play drums in a flat or so...
My neighbor surely got some love for e-drum kits 🤣

Nothing compares to the real thing but the more home-friendly options are getting better and cheaper.

I love my MPS-750, using it with Superior Drummer 3 so changed quite a lot on it to make it more responsive, still cheaper than buying a Roland kit with the same features, would have needed another module for Roland to, unless if I went with their 2-3 flagships.
That MPS-850 looks like the better deal for a meshhead drumset or a cheap modding platform, also like the fact that the kickdrumhead is mesh and big enough for double pedals.
How are the new cymbalpads compared to the old ones?
This kit have amazing value that is completely unmatched. Three zone ride, two dual zone crash cymbals, four Tom’s, and real hi hat stand. This is definitely the best option for the price

Going to get the MPS-850 bundle and Superior Drummer 3. The sounds on the MPS-850 can't be used for anything but practising purposes. SD 3 blows every e-drum module out of the water. Luckily my PC has enough RAM. :D
Laptop DDR3 Ram of 8gb is enough?

nice to see a good video of it played, ive been close to buying this but worried that it might not have great build quality considering the price and the fact you get all those toms cymbals and mesh heads.. surely some aspect of it has to be sacrificed
however it seems sturdy, the frame isnt bouncing all over like you see with some kits .. interesting

Millenium MPS-850 Hi-Hat Controller, Can i use it with my Kit MPS 600?
Does anyone know if you can do rimshots or rimtaps with it?
Could please help? Found nowhere else to go. The bell part of the ride is not really responding, only when I hit it pretty hard. I tried to change trigger settings and whatever I can for both the bell and ride and it doesn't really help. Even when I play with the x-talk.. Is there an option or a special relation to set it so the bell must not be hit with a hammer to make a sound?
Hi Thomann music, on the mps750 review, you talked about the outside sound of the kit, that was about 80db. What about the mps 850?
I dont know the exact value, but its not loud at all. I am not saying you can sleep while the other is playing on it, but i live in a flat and i had no complain from the neighbours. Yet. :D
is the kickpad hardwired or can you replace it?
My MPS850 snare drum and rimshot are exactly the same sound.I have tried a factory reset but it has not changed. This has only just happened??please advise

On what mellenium mps models can you use a double bass?
I looked longer for an e drum kit on which you can use a double base and the mps 850 is my favorit cause it has the biggest pad for basedrumm.

There's quite a few comments saying what I would ask so I'll skip to does anyone actually own one of these kits & how do they perform in the sound/feel & overall durability aspects!..
I've ready laid down a hefty (half price in £'s) for the Roland TD-17KV E Drum Kit but simething keeps bringing me back to the TourTech TT-22M or this Millenium MPS-850-Drum Set...
There's not that many uploads on UA-cam for tgis kit & most has the Comments (section) Disabled & the brief demos are from people who work at Thomann & I'm not ready to believe an " online company " that doesnt have any of these kits showing on UA-cam being played by actual buyer's...
I know that alot of these kits especially Roland have been overcharging for way too long & with the latter they have practically dine nothing new apart from the release of the TD-17 range but even then they are asking too much & have had scathing comments on UA-cam & other drummer forum sites for their constant over pricing & lack of innovation to make better kits at affordable prices...
It's not the 80s anymore & these are not experimental expensive Simmons Kits & technology has moved on & gotten so much cheaper yet Roland still think they can charge what they want & I know myself that I'm playing right into their hands if I buy the TD-17KVX...
Hence why im asking for information about the playability/durability & overall feel & sound of this particular kit...
So far If I had bought this kit I'd be expecting a few hundred pounds in refund & this is why it like to know if this is worth taking a risk on...
Any information would be appreciated...

James Lane -same here, you have the likes of this, the xdrum 650, the Carlsbro CSD600 etc etc or for a few hindered more you have the Roland kvx, which doesn’t even come with the high hat stand...
There’s hardly any unbiased info yet 100’s have sold all over Europe and U.K.?
@@scottw3780 I went with the alesis crimson 2 In the end. Decent kit needs fine tuning but I love it so far.
James Lane - I keep hearing horror stories about alesis snare drums cracking inside etc etc, it looks s cool kit tho, just the right size
