Why are they obsessed with making race cars green? the most green way to have the race is just cancel the whole thing. Let racers just build the faster+safer car and race.
Pretty dumb comment. Cancel everything? Are you really that dumb? They have switched to bio fuels for the logistics trucks and cut emmisions by 60%. So that is a huge improvement without touching the race cars. But they will do that in the future as well obviously as they want to become carbon neutral. Is it not an obvious benefit if they can become carbon neutral and still have the F1 championship millions of people watch? Safer cars have more protection and that adds more weight. 10kg is like 0.3seconds per lap so pretty naive to think they would voluntarily add weight and give up so much laptime. I think you just need to realise smarter people than you are working on this stuff so just stfu and leave it to them cos you have no clue lol
Personally I don't want to see any team dominating the racing, I want to see the cars race wheel to wheel from the front of the grid to the back, at every race, and I am sick of hearing the same teams whining and moaning at each other.
its the same honda engine tec. together with people from honda working in the RB factory. And the battery part will be delivered by ford. just the battery and a badge on the car from ford. so I dont think really much changes on that part. Im more worried about the other rule changes.
Want to reduce carbon footprint? Look at the 24 schedule and see how much travel is involved. That’s an easy one to streamline. Also you are not reducing emissions by adding batteries, the mining to make one EV battery is about 500K pounds of earth that is moved burning fuel, petrol, diesel, gas. The components are made in countries that don’t have fair labor practices, and are building up to 1 Coal powered electrical plant per week. Not one person is trying to “save the environment”. Bring back the V8 or V10 and let’s press on with car racing.
We have all seen videos of electric busses and supercars catching fire and exploding due to overheating of the lithium batteries used to propelling these vehicles in conjunction with the ice units. We also saw the warning of the creator of the Tesla cars and abandoning of the concept as a whole, due to the exact same problem. Bear in mind, that none of the aforementioned vehicles operates under the strenuous velocities as a F1 racing car at full tilt for 60 to 70 laps on end. Considering all of these facts, everybody should be asking only one question : What happened to the FIA's main objective towards the teams and raving drivers, ie the Safety of all that should always be paramount to new rules in the sport???

They are not crying, they are just warning. Just pointing out the obvious, how many people are complaining now about RB being so dominant and they haven't even shown their true power as we speak. People don't want one team to be extremely dominant for a longer period of time. At the end of 2021 teams were getting closer together because they were on engine performance closer together. 2026 will have new engines and these will have loads of potency for further devolopment. When we are getting closer to 2026 the cars will be a lot closer together, because more people will understand the ground effect cars better. Eventually you get to a point where you can't find much gains on these cars. When Mercedes was dominant at the start of the hybrid era, they were holding back big time. They would have been seconds per lap quicker than all the others. RB is has a pace difference, but not even close to what Mercedes would have had back in the day. If it is all true the FIA is just telling lies to the race fans, promising to get racing more interresting with lighter cars. Top speed reduction, half the amount of power from what they have now. If that is true, that will be the end of F1. Because F1 will not be the top dog of motorsports, they are superior to other classes. But in development they are lagging behind already thanks to the budgetcap. And this will get worse.
The FIA says they want to make F1 more affordable but they don't realize that more and more hybrid technology is not cheap. How can the smaller teams compete? The cars are getting heavier and faster and when heavier cars crash the damage will be more severe. People don't realize how much damage is done to the environment when they mine all these exotic metals to make the batteries. Go back to v8's and v10's they are already burning synthetic fuels today any way.
The smaller teams are not building their own engines. The bigger teams are supplying them. It's only Ferarri, Merc, Renault and Honda who supply engines. But yes, what Vettel is doing running his vintage F1 cars on bio fuels to prove and show it can be done is very clever and way more motivation than these JustStopOil idiots gluing their hands to the track...at a Formula E race lol
I have never been convinced that RB was serious about developing their own PU. I'm sure someone will mention that they have built a working "prototype" but that's a long way from an actual race-ready engine. The fact they have been actively looking for an engine partner speaks loudly of a need to share the massive costs of PU development.
Its not their drivers, twat. Their car is shit. I think youre just a hater. You put Lewis in that Red Bull and he wouldnt DOMINATE Max. But since Merc had bad wind tunnel models in late 2021 and into early 2022. So their car was wrong from the first race. And frankly since the engineers started to listening to Lewis and not their "wind tunnel data" they have been slowly improving their car. Too many F1 fans are idiots.
#FormulaONE rules aside regenerating batteries is not the challenge it was years ago. Many options exist. Lighter cars will make for faster cars but be careful not to sacrifice safety on the way.

The engine specs for 2026 are rubbish. The weight of the additional battery will add another 30 kg. This what you get when the FIA and F1 leadership don’t know F1 or F1 racing. How do you make the footprint smaller with another 30kg. The racing will be affected by making this car an electric car. We don’t need another Fe. A dumb idea. As for listening to Max, F1 only listens to Mercedes and Toto and Hamilton. So tired of the F1 Management and FIA fiddling with F1. It doesn’t need to be “green”. It will not kill any dolphins. It would be great to take the engines back to fully ICE, and allow teams to put whatever electrical additions on as they want. F1 will likely be irrelevant by 2030. Why? The world’s developed markets will likely be 50+% EV’s and German automakers have recently decided to use Made-In-China platforms to underpin their cars.
