Where's the new angle?? Max is the master of playing the rules, no space given rolled of the breaks so his nose was a head, didn't make the turn because of this. Put soft walls to stop people going off track. This would make that incident a race ending one and no body would be discussing it
So Max runs Lando off on first corner, doesn't give the position back - No penalty... Sainz runs Max off - gives it back. Russell runs Bottas off - gets a penalty. Max then again runs Lando off and goes off himself and Lando gets the penalty. If Max had stayed on the track, all good but he deliberately drove Lando off, which should have been penalised.
sorry but both should have gotten a penalty norris for overtaking off the track and not giving the place back and verstappen for forcing norris off track, at least then you are simply enforcing your own rules
Lets remember, racing is as much about defending as it is attacking. The defensive driving from Max was a masterclass! Absolutely NOT 'go wide or get stuffed!? Max was driving to the RULES. If you look at it -- 1 Max was level with Lando going into corner 2 at the apex Msx was half a car length in front. 3 - Yes Max left the track - but in the rules thats a warning for track limits violation..... It can be noted Lando violated track limits alot also. 4 Lando overtook outside of the track, the reason its NOT deamed as Max having pushed Lando off is because Lando did NOT have the corner, MAX had the racing line and apex, with lando around the outside. I think Anthony Davidson describes it perfectly in his analysis. 5 lando should have just slipped back behind Max and got him a lsp later. 6 Re :- George -Toto is dumb, or playing dumb - because he KNOWS first lap incidents are treated differently!!! The rules allow this because of the bunched up nature at the start of races. I agree there is a sense of vindictiveness coming from the FIA/Liberty and the only one to stop them would be the teams if they act as a uniformed group. I wonder if Newey is going to be told to stop criticizing the proposed 2026 chassis regulations, I agree with him 100%.
Max has been penalized many times for exactly the same move. Toto is crying because he doesn't know how to fix the team quite simply. Always easier to claim victim and point fingers at others

Norris needs to learn how to win without trying to to get the stewards to help him.
Mclaren as a unit do, hindsight is wonderful, give place back let stewards look at a forcing car off only, over take next lap.
