Born and bred from Ormskirk.... thank you for doing this video, I've been living in south wales for the past 31 years and left ORMY when I was 21. It was good seeing the town again and seeing certain shops that are still alive and kicking. I use to have go through town 5 days a week to walk to school which was a mile away from my home. God! I do miss the meat and potato pies - they don't do them down here in deepest darkest wales.... Cheers and thanks again.
Bit of info: the furniture shop is the old grammar school. The church is one of only three of four with a tower or steeple. it's one of the few towns I know that's improved (mostly) in the last 40 years - this largely due to the university and the town's proximity to Liverpool (it's on the Merseyrail). Oh, and everyone sounds like Ringo Starr in Ormy.

Sometimes I think that you need a local to show you around otherwise you miss too much while not knowing the history .
