      I use Skinfitique brand. It is designed for those with metal allergies. It allegedly bonds with and removes nickel etc that may be in makeup. I have very reactive skin and have no issues with it. It seems to do a great job removing makeup without over drying the skin.

      Cassandra Bankson Omg! Cassandra! I just wanted to let you know that Bioderma is not a cruelty-free brand! I totally know you to be for animal rights when it comes to your products, and also help many others find cruelty-free options, so I’m totally assuming you were mislead. Maybe you can let others know in the description, just incase💜💜. Also, if you ever need a quick reference to check on that, I personally use a site called “crueltyfreekitty.com”, they are constantly updating and are user friendly. I love your vids, think you’re totally helping people, so I just wanted to help you back💖😽.

    I have * very * acne prone skin and I started using only micellar water and my skin cleared dramatically. I wear a full face of very high coverage, long lasting foundation, concealer, powder, etc.. anyway. I cleanse the makeup off with a couple cotton rounds and then do a “double cleanse” with that same micellar water until the cotton round is clear. I find this works amazing for me and I haven’t used anything else for cleansing since starting this. Ideally I’d rinse, but they say there’s no need to and I don’t find a difference if I don’t. I rarely do. Basically don’t.

      Shayla Baker I don’t. Now I use microfiber with just water. (Basically like the ‘Makeup Eraser’ that they sell at Sephora for $20, but I buy like 20 microfiber ‘cotton rounds’ for $10, I use 1-2 a day to completely remove my makeup and it comes with a laundry bag - so you just toss them in and wash the whole thing whenever you do laundry). I then cleanse, serums and moisturize. Do a peel or enzyme mask 1-2 weekly alternating. I cringe that I said I didn’t even rinse the micelles and stopped there! My skin is so much better now. This comment was 2 years ago 😭

    • @Lioness006

      It is Micellar water (pronounced my-SELL-ar). That is what it says on the actual bottles. She just keeps adding an extra syllable.

    • @UGAgradRN
      @UGAgradRN 6 років тому +19

      Yeah, she mispronounces lots of words in her “science” videos. It really bugs me. I wonder if she’s learned how to say “salicylic” by now...

    • @AllysonWonderlandd
      @AllysonWonderlandd 6 років тому +22

      It’s just a word. It’s ok if she said it wrong as long as she communicated her topic, which she did. No big deal. (:

    • @UGAgradRN
      @UGAgradRN 6 років тому +17

      Yeah, but considering how frequently she touts her knowledge of science, it’s just embarrassing how often she mispronounces things that are spelled right in front of her. Your gyno may know his or her stuff, but if they keep calling the speculum a sporculum, and your vagina your vegorna, it’s kinda takes away their cred. The way I see it, this girl wants to be a dermatologist, but she can’t even sound out words sometimes.

      +Cassandra Bankson Hi Gorgeous, have you ever done a video about Dermarolling or Derma Pen? I remember seeing some of your old videos when you had bad breakouts but now your skin is really good, whereas it could have gone the other way if you were less fortunate for those suckers to have left bad scars.Glad it didn't pan out that way for you, or did you ever have any bad ones that you went to have them sorted? You are a little ray of sunshine always and come across as a real sweetheart.

    The bioderma micellar water is one of the best selling products in France.
    Dermatologists all recommend it.
    Use it on coton pads wipe your face new pad wipe, only stop when the coton stays completely clean! Morning and night, it is the best for acne prone but very sensitive skin. I can't travel without it !!

    You are great, I love your channel... but Origins and Bioderma are not cruelty free. :-( There are lots of micellar waters that are, though! Some of the ones we like and use at our house are Pacifica, Acure, Desert Essence, and It Cosmetics... I use it after cleansing my face with a cleansing oil to remove any left behind makeup. Works so well!

Soooooo I suffer from rosácea and actually I’ve been advised not to use any tap water or wash my face with water and only do it with non rinse rosacea prone skin waters like that (the ones I use are the bioderma AR and the Sesderma one)... so, can you give me your opinion or make more videos about cleansing for people who have skin like mine 🙏🏾😘 Love from Portugal ❤️🇵🇹

      I tried curology for about six months, and at first it started clearing up my acne but then it REALLY dried up my skin. I know you can keep consulting your curology expert and they can modify the formula but be careful, I changed it a couple times and it was really stripping it (started seeing flakyness and fine lines). Now its been over a year and I am still trying to get my skin back to its normal state. I wish you the best of luck and I hope if works for you!

    Garnier pure active is my go to, combo skin and little bit prone to acne. I don't wear makeup often, so usually its my morning and evening "cleanser". And after that I use a toner and a light moisturiser. Wanna include some "the ordinary" items in my pm regime, but to know what and how often is a search party. I already own 4 items, but bit scared to use em. Sometimes I feel my skin needs more than only this as cleaning, than I use a fragrance free gel cleanser or foam cleanser. (2x a week I guess) and when in the shower and go for a longer shower, I deep cleanse, with a 3 in one "mask" thats also a gentle scrub, and after that a regular cleanser to get rid of residue. After shower I use micellar water again, and use a moisturiser (or overnight mask for now)

I do use this in combo with a gel claenser then i use a toner folowed with a vitamine c serum and then my moisterizer. En then i finish with vaseline on the lips. I do this every evening and in the morning i just use the bioderma, serum en a moisterizer sunscreen. I have been looking for a long time for a good skin care routine. And i have learned alot from your video's and my skin is so mucj better. Thanks for all the great tips and tricks.

    I do not doubt this girl could be very knowledgeable about how micellar water works, but just the fact that she keeps calling it micellular water makes it hard for me to even finish the video, if she cannot even pronounce what she is talking about correctly why would I understand she is not just repeating what she has heard other people say or that she has diligently studied this herself? Nowadays anyone can grab a phone, record a video and post it online claiming they know about certain topic, therefore to be taken seriously people need to not only deliver good content, but present it well, the fact that she cannot pronounce the word linked to the reason for which she recorded this video takes away from her professionalism and credibility.

    Hi Cassandra! First of all I just want to say how your videos have helped me learn so much about how to help clear my acne and understand the science behind it all. I got acne when I turned 20 and I’ve used so many treatments and seen so many doctors that it bordered frustration while yielding little results. Secondly I wanted to ask if you recommend micellar water for cleansing in a hotter and dustier-than-normal climate which is currently where I live. It’s hot, humid and incredibly dusty and polluted. (I love where I live but also I need help with my acne!) love you!

      Cassandra Bankson Your welcome. I was under the same impression about origins and just recently found this out... very disappointing. I have yet to find a good cruelty free micellar water 😭 Thank you for responding 😘

    It is very difficult to believe (or listen) to someone who cannot learn to pronounce what a product is correctly. You have lost at least one potential listener.
