so many remembers, this club was the heaven and hell of the 80's era. unfortunately many of us were vanishing from life. Still an iconic NYC statement.
This is the best cut in the film. Tragic that it was left off the album.

Got this as a B side to Freddie Mercury's Love Kills (equally good). Only bit of Moroder we had in the house!
A really good song by Moroder is Chase from the score to the 1978 film Midnight Express.

Great, imaginative, creative, and bought 36 years ago, the EP is worn out and still decorates the room. It symbolized the era.
I can’t help but imagine Machine Maria dancing. I love that scene from Metropolis. It looks amazing especially with the magenta colour filter.

Why the hell is this not on the album? I know most of the instrumental score didn't make it, but this got released as a b-side, and the album as-is is very short.
Unfortunately nearly ALL of Mr Moroders music is MISSING from most of his film scores! The same happened to his fantastic Scarface! So criminal but maybe ONE DAY he will release ALL those fantastical instrumental masterpieces on an album CD?

Soundtracks back then always left out the good stuff. The Karate Kid Soundtrack at the time for example. I saved up my money as a kid to buy it on Tape expecting Bill Conti's amazing scores to be there. NOT A One! So disappointing.

Wow! Thank you have not heard the full version of this in years. Going to see the newly restored Metropolis at the Glasgow Film Theatre on tuesday. Unfortunately with the original soundtrack. Which by all accounts is not that great. But we'll see.

this piece rotwang's party or club yoshiwara where the robot maria bewitches the men in the club and frieder is in his bed with a high fever and also used when rotwang chased maria up the cathedral and frieder fights him I like this extended version better the bomb put it full blast on my bose and the room shakes got it on a cd when Moroder's version came out in the 80's Giorgio you are the man

This is a surprise. I'm runnng off a NEW special edition of the soundtrack just today, in order to add the re-edited movie version of "Herte's My Heart" (7:31 long) as a bonus track. I already had this song from the 45... but it's 3:19 long. Where did this 5:21 version come from??
Oh, I see... 12-inch single! (I've got the 7-inch single) That was a big fad in the 80s.
