This is prominently featured in Climax (2018) at the beginning.
A song from 1977 fitting in well for a film 40 years later. I lived through a special time w/o realizing it, then.
Bringing back memories of the Kenny Everett show
Imagine hearing this first time in 1977.
In 2021 this song still kicks ass.
One of atom bombs in music history.
I did hear it for the first time in 1977 (I was 9) and was already in love with disco (Bee Gees, Donna Summer, etc). Here I am in 2021 and finally found out who made the tune and what a tune it is.
@@cosworth6nut El efecto I Feel Love y el inicio del sonido NRG & Synthpop dentro de la escena EDM (1977), Giorgio⚡Moroder padre y fundador de esta evolución electrónica.
Exactly I remember like it was yestherday sorry for my bad Englisch
I was kid when first hearing it and thought it was brilliant, albeit really frightening. I knew it was truly communicating an important warning to humanity. Not every version ends with the hopeful lyrics: "Maybe nature has a plan to control the ways of man
He must start from scratch again many battles he must win
Till he earns his place on earth like the other creatures do
Will there be a happy end, now that all depends on you."
Heard it as a 15 year old then and now at 59 still enjoying it! Then it was on a small portable cassette player, now a full fledged system rocking the window glass! @@Ravenelvenlady
This music is powerful. It's impressive how something from the 70s still has it's place in the 21st century.
The last verse is more and more prescient every day.
Songs of 21st century don't impress as much as they did in 70s.

One of the Biggest Hits of all the Times in the world of the DISCO. There are many things in the musical composition of this SUPER TRACK, the Future of Synth music, the Techno and all styles brought by David GUETTA, Bob SINCLAR or the DAFT PUNK... CERRONE is musically a Pionner and a Master in this Musical Field...
Don't forget his Italian counterpart. Giorgio Moroder.
Add Jean-Michel Jarre
La French touch
Remember when this was released in the 70’s and it’s still timeless!
That bassline is beyond words.

Why does this still sound good after 40 plus years , surely disco music should age and grate on the ears. Timeless😱
Bad disco like any bad sobg refardless of genre. Dies grate. And irritate. But class is class
I'm not sure if this is a "genre thing". A don't like disco in general. IMO, it's primarily for dancing and it's often very boring for listening. However, Cerrone's compositions are amazing and not boring at all. There are so many details in them...
A couple of years ago I played this for my nephew and his Cariad.
They thought at first that it was just a disco track.
When I showed them the lyrics they were stunned.
The Cariad has a music degree and does music / storytelling / performance as her work.
She teaches from babies & mothers groups and performs for any age.
This is a brilliant song and music and it’s ideal to help teach about the importance of climate change.
Considering when it was released it was well ahead of its time.
Long may it be available for future generations to hear.
When this song first came out back in 1977 people made fun of it saying it was weird and music was going downhill...now looking back it really was ahead of its time
It was like a prophetic warning!?
Not just ahead of its time, whopping 45 years on it's still amazing and delivers. I just adore it 🥰
It helped to define an era of music in clubs all across the country.
From Milwaukee to Miami, from Chicago to San Francisco, from Houston to LA.
It happens a ton of time in the music industry. On the other hand, there's also a ton of random & casuals song made for commercial purposes.

This original is still by far the best version
This is quite possibly my favourite disco piece ever. It's superb melodically, lyrically, rhythmically...complete perfection.
But being young now means I can still enjoy disco, whilst wading through all the modern garbage and enjoying the modern gems, too.

We are just limited by the tech we have at the time. But the classical era of music is when we started seeing advanced tunes, some more emotional like the romantic era.@@netcurtains

great song...love the Top of The Pops version, with Legs n Co dancing to it
A prophetic song... I used to despise disco when I was 15 or so, when this song came out, I've changed my mind now. This piece is a portend of times to come.
The synth at the start actually sounds very eighties which kinda makes this ahead of it's time!
Yes, you're right, but Giorgio Moroder, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis were already pushing the envelope in electronic dance music and synth driven orchestral masterpieces before this classic disco track by Cirrone. I heard what Kraftwerk, Yellow Magic Orchestra, and Tangerine Dream did in the early 70s, by the time the 80s arrived, I actually thought 'about time, the mainstream have finally caught up' 😂
