- A continuous quilting path is shown that is suitable for quilting any French Braid type quilt or, as shown here, a quilt made with award ribbons from years of dog shows. Initially I was skeptical of actually quilting the ribbons beyond stitching-in-the-ditch; however, talking about this quilt with a friend who had quilted something similar on her longarm assured me that it would work. I'm delighted with the outcome! Quilted on a Handiquilter Sweet Sixteen sit-down in an Insight table with built in stitch regulation. Threads used are both Superior Bottom Line 60 wt, lace white on top and silver in the bobbin.
Hi Ms Lizzie, once again you have come up with a unique guilting method That will work on any braided Table runners or quilts. Thank you for your demo.
I really love when you show your work on hq sweet six! What ruler foot are you using?
I replaced the original ruler foot for the Sure Foot, which is a little taller. Since adding it when I had the conversion kit installed so I could change feet easily, I haven't actually used any other foot!
Do you have a video on making a pillow with the ribbons
I don't have a video on sewing with ribbons yet; however, I have plenty of ribbons left to make another project and will be sure to make a video when I get started! Stay tuned. :-)
