"Tekkno" is the title of their last album. This cover was supposed to be on it but couldn't make it due to copyright issues. That's why it's "tekkno version" :) Welcome to the rabbit hole!
The idea for this video was to do a Disney musical to celebrate the bromance between Nico and Kevin. And...Next Wednesday they are releasing a song/video collaboration with Baby Metal!
Every now and then they do a cover but not that often. Funny enough, their first music video ever was for a cover: Katy Perry's California Gurls. In some of their music videos they do have choreographed dance scenes, not always performed by professional dancers like in this one. 😁 Founded in 2010 (as Eskimo Callboy) they were a more or less standard metalcore band, with a mostly humorous attempt though and never shy of mixing genres or experimenting with styles. Early in 2020 original lead singer Sushi left to found a new project (Ghostkid). They casted Nico as the new clean singer and decided to introduce him to the fans with a no holds barred - all in - over the top song and video, which was Hypa Hypa (mission accomplished I guess). The rest is partycore history. While most of their material since is uplifting electronicore like Everytime We Touch, they do have some more serious songs too (Hate/Love, Mindreader, Parasite). Besides Nico, the members are: Kevin, harsh vocals, sometimes keyboard or piano, Daniel H., guitar, he does the majority of their programming and production, Daniel K., bass, Pascal, guitar, he and his brother Oliver run a videography company (Schillo Bros.) which is responsible for the vast majority of EC's music videos, David, drums, joined in 2012 after original drummer Micha left in friendship out of private reasons. In March of 2022, Micha filled in for a live performance on a German TV show (they played Pump It) as David was on a humanitary mission at the Polish-Ukranian border.
Most of their stuff isn't a cover. You gotta do the full album Tekkno its bloody amazing live as well as reacting to the music videos they are so funny they are so frickin' talented they are known as partycore amongst many other types with the metal and screamo along with proper vocals and harmonies and then just sheer talented musicians backing them they deserve all the appreciation and attention they have paid their dues and they are just such a mood an energy and complete fun and goosebumps each everytime I hear them play
Well, you are right! This is a techno version of Cascada's cover. She covered the original from Maggie Reilly. Check the original out, then you can here the music development during this time...
so i just fell into this rabbit hole not to long ago. they blend together a mesh of styles in music. in the eastern (i think) part of germany they are very into Techno. specifically hard style as its called. the heavy bass hits and parties very similar to the old underground Raves of the late 90s and early 2000s. the ones you go to the abandoned warehouses for instead of clubs and hosted events. they have also been known to do some retro style throwbacks and even a German Schlager style song. but they are most well known for their Hard Style Techno blended metalcore. being a fan of both genres i love it. lol but i think they called it partycore metal or something like that. So Suggestions for more Techno blends We got the moves Hypa Hypa Tekkno Train Pump It More traditional Songs Mindreader Fckboi feat. Conquer Divide Bonus their guitarist plays in another band and they work together fairly often on other musical projects and one featuring Nico of EC... Samurai Pizza Cats - Pizza Homicide Enjoy the fall.
It's called Tekkno version because the song was supposed to be on the album "Tekkno" but didn't make it. So it was published separately. And if it's not obvious, Tekkno is not techno, which would be the right term if it were techno.
I love this song to no end, BUT personally i think it is not the best song to introduce to someone who never heard of Electric Callboy. Reason for that is, they won't understand the humor of the Band and the all in all Bromance between all of them. If you are interestet in making more Reactions of them, start with "HYPA HYPA", than "WE GOT HE MOVES", "PUMP IT", SPACE MAN" and "TEKKNO TRAIN". After that, it doesn't matter anymore, because they all are incredible!

Welcome to the rabbit hole!
Every single song and video they have released since 2020 has been utter genius.
They call this partycore
Him: "So - it is a Techno version to Cascada's Everytime We Touch"
Me: *gnihihi*
Electric Callboy is a gift to mankind.
there is much more aeswomeness to discover with this band.

It's Tekkno as in their latest album Tekkno, related to but not quite tecno ;)
