The hints were showing the new Pirate secret units' weapons, good luck finding them, and remember these riddles.
1. Oh the Pirates, how hard were thee? You wanted to give them the slam. But if you want to find a secret unit, you need to look for a clam.
2. I'm surprised that most of those units failed, but the Jousters were able. This next secret unit is "hidden" in plain sight on a table.
3. Glad the cannon is back, what about you? They're quite packed. To find their updated alpha counterparts, go behind the giant stone back.
4. Pirate Captain and Pirate Queen, a dastardly duo are they not? To find their superior, go behind the opposite of dry and hot.

I only know what the hints mean:
1 is a clue to the unit itself, it's literally a clam-like creature
2 is a bomb combined with a stick
3 is just anchors, i'll just say right now it's a secret pirate unit that i think we all were expecting
4 is a bomb combined with a can with an on on the end of it, meaning its a bomb cannon

Guess what a ballista vs a barrel man barrel man's take no damage surprise.
CLAMS is found in the Pirate Map. It is found in an underwater cave on the left side of the map. Look at the clam with its head in it.
If you look straight ahead on the Pirate Map, you will see a mountain. If you look around it you'll find a waterfall which has a secret cave behind it. In the secret cave, you find Blackbeard's skeleton with an anchor beside him. If you stare at the anchor long enough, it explodes and you unlock Blackbeard.
