Using a tapestry blanket to remake into a coat can be done! This video will show ideas to upcycle a thrift store blanket into a coat or jacket and how to use black tea to tea dye fabric. I will show how to repurpose an old blanket into something new showing step by step the creative process. See my latest thrift store haul and how I upcycle a curtain panel into the design of the blanket coat. Also see how I tea dye the fabric, using black tea to darken the fabric to make it match.

G'day 🦘🐨 Angela Im so thrilled for another fabulous podcast 👏 😊 and wasnt disappointed wow what an amazing coat well done 👏 I should be doing more sewing I have enough fabric to open my own shop 😄 however ive been off work since Feb and seem to have got stuck on doing crochet and knit projects for fam and friends.. I have however started making a curtain for my bedroom using vintage ladies handkerchiefs ( yes totally laundered first) so pretty lots of embroidery and flower prints..just tricky piecing them together..anyhoo seriously looking forward to your next video have a great week best wishes Lee 🦋🦘
Hi Lee! Always nice to hear from you. Glad to know I'm not the only one with a huge stash of fabric! I haven't done much crochet, only wonky washcloths. Never tried knitting. Maybe if I ever retire... Love the handkerchief curtain idea! Hope it works out. Hope all is well in Australia! 💕
REALLY Amazing art piece!
Thank you very much!☺️
love it mommah!!!!❤❤
Thanks, Nora!! 💕💕💕
Good Job 👏 👏👏👏
Thank you! 😃
Love it!
Very cool 😀
It’s awesome
Thanks! It’s cosy to wear a blanket as a coat.
I absolutely LOVE it!! Super cute!!
This was cool! I just got a pretty beat up tapestry blanket to try to practice on (it's pretty small so I'm thinking a vest) so i can get enough confidence to make a jacket out of a nicer one I've had for a bit. This helped a lot!
Glad to hear! Vest might be a good idea. Or use sleeves and/or hood from and old hoodie or a Jean jacket. It might be a nice combination. Thanks for watching!
Was that a ukulele you carried off???
You are correct! My main instrument is guitar, but I also play piano and ukulele. Currently I’m working on “Rubber Duckie” with the uke. ☺️
