The dyeing of the lace and doilies absolutely made the dress. I just love your creative process. You are a Ray of sunshine 🌞 added to any day I watch your videos ❤️🙏🥰Blessings to you & your beautiful family. Love Nora’s piano 🎹 bag. 😊❤
Wow, that turned out so pretty! Very fun and whimsical. Perfect dress to wear in the cooler months, as it pairs so well with tights, boots and a turtleneck!
Your patience, thought process (appreciated), humor, creativity and vision as well as your authenticity is contagious. As always with your videos, I giggle, LOL and crack up especially with your cartoon additions, sound effects and your animals. I do miss little Sammy though. ;-( Thank you, Angela!!!
Love your energy AND your projects Right up my alley!! And your home looks as adorable as you do. Your blue cabinet....I painted our china cabinet and our kitchen cabinets about that same color a few years ago! Would love to see even more of your home! Since you are also a baker and former music teacher, I'm sure your creativity pours out all over your home! 😊
What lovely things to say, Patty! I keep switching careers. Now I work at a music store - by far my favorite job so far. I tried doing Artfully Sew full-time for a spell, but it turned out to be grumpy work instead of joy-giving fun. Since it’s back to my hobby, I enjoy it so much more now. As far as my house, I love decorating! My thrifting trips aren’t just for clothing - I find all kinds of treasures to decorate my home. My daughter Nora painted many of the murals and wall art, but I did spruce up the china cabinet myself. Love, love, love it! Thanks so much for watching. And so nice to connect with you. ☺️
Thanks, Sandra! It is scary to be bold, but I've learned it's a risk that often pays off. When it doesn't, I just take a new path with my design. Thanks for sharing your honesty and glad you liked it in the end. I truly appreciate the encouragement!💕
I absolutely love, LOVE your attitude with your sewing. You inspire me to think outside the box every time I watch. Thanks Angela!! Keep up the good work.;-)
Uh, yeah. Math sucks. I hate it. But so necessary in sewing! Thank God for online calculators! 🤣 The stripes gave off a very fun vibe - kinda like that scene at the racetrack in the old Disney Mary Poppins movie.
The lace could have stayed the cream color, it was pretty. But the blue was amazing. I love it. I love your doilies, it makes it fancy. I will try one now.
That circle skirt in denim squares is dreamy, and it drapes beautifully! I may have to try one of those. Great video - and I totally believe that project took months. My hands hurt just thinking about cutting 132 denim squares~
That was an ahhhhsome journey! Loved the outcome, dress is sew you ❤. And I snorted at the pets involvements. I have a cat too and can’t sew a thing without her opinions and supervision lol. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻
You can do it! It’s kinda scary to get started, but just dive in. My first projects were not great at all, but over time, with practice and grace, I got better. Be bold!
Thanks, Victoria! Thank you for sharing that you had doubts. That means you were feeling the process with me - exactly what I intend with these videos. By showing the struggles and choice options I hope people feel more comfortable and confident with their own creative process. Take risks! Be bold!😃
I have this exact denim dress in my pile of thrifted things to remake but I had no ideas. Fear of frump. Your dress however is so fun, so unique. I love it!
Only found you today and I’ve been watching while I sew a dress. Just thought I loved your whole process and wanted to say the meaning behind your gift and the history of the blanket, and I thought of something, maybe you could still incorporate the hand embroidered flowers each year on her birthday you could embroider a flower each year and include her in it such as her choice of a motif or the colour of a flower she would eventually end up with a meadow of wild flowers on it. ❤
@@ArtfullySew no thanks for sharing your insight and journey. Dress isn’t quite finished but you helped inspire me to finally start the dress I’ve had stewing in my brain for almost a year.
Oh my goodness!! So happy to see this video💕💕. Your videos always brighten my day and make me smile (or laugh - as with your cutie pets - I can so relate😂). I love the way the circle patchwork skirt completely changed the look of the jumper! Also love the addition of the vintage (dyed👏🏻) linens and lace! Coordinating with black is my favorite combo. Overall it’s a winner🥰🥰. Looking forward to seeing your next circle skirt project...or whatever project you choose to share. Bring 'em on☺️. Thank you!!
I was cringing when you decided to dye the doilies but the blue turned out amazing. I hope you make the circle skirt out of a tablecloth. I have one ive been saving for such a project. ❤🎉
WONDERFUL! I love all the styling options. My favorite part of the video is the patience you have with yourself as you work through ideas and options. Thanks for sharing!
I was so excited to see you put up a video!! You always do such fun things!! The dress turned out adorable!! You were right about dyeing the trims!! Looking forward to your circle skirt out of a table cloth!! Thanks Angela!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
I actually liked it more before you altered it...however... I love how you feel about your new jumper!!! Upcycling is the way to go...and even though we might all do something differently with a find...the fact that we can celebrate each other's unique style with thrifted items is what's important....nice job little lady 😊
Well put! 💕That is the beauty, isn't it? Turning something into you own style is a joyful way to celebrate the uniqueness of yourself. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching!
@ArtfullySew i absolutely agree!! Taking something so carbon copy and bravely cutting into it, removing something adding something changing a hemline or neckline to make it something special just for ourselves, is definitely wonderful. We would hesitate with something new but we seem to be more brave and expressive with something thrifted. I have seen people create something that I would absolutely love and some things I would not wear but looks cute on them. I think this particular video...for me it wasn't as much about the jumper but how it made you feel...seeing another person happy...genuinely happy...is always a great thing for me. If you feel happy and share that...then you're a wonderful person...thank you for your video 📹 😊
