I'm really curious to hear what you all think of Shadowlands! Also I'm starting work on the Assassin's Creed 2 retrospective, hopefully I can get that out soonish!
To be honest, i think Shadowlands was actually the best expansion yet. I also love how realistic the Beyond the Veil cinematic. And also I love Revendreth the most, just thinking about the music makes me want to sit in Sinfall for hours. I also like how they put some recurring characters in SL too.
I know we've talked on this a hundred times in your discord but I still think Shadowlands is just one of those expansions that will HOPEFULLY age like fine wine. It'll get better with each and every patch and build up to something great. ALSO, LOOK ITS BANORAK! 17:44
Yeah that side of the game seems exceptionally strong with the removal of rng Azerite procs and the addition of PvP vendors. I'm glad you're enjoying it man!
Still don't see the problem with having to do thorgast for 2h once a week. Everybody complains about it but honestly its so quick and eazy i think its not so problematic. What i do agree thow is the lack of reason to do thorgast besides player power. I want to do thorgast more then once a week. I finished all the twisting corridors 2 days after they came out and now i'm stuck with doing thorgast once a week for my soulash which just serves as a timegate since i can't farm more.
You aren't wrong. It isn't too bad but as my time to play games has decreased/I have more games I want to play, having to waste two hours a week doing monotonous boring content gets more annoying.
@@evozor5874 Hrmm yeah i understand that. But i think any MMO realy has something you have to do at least for 2h a week in endgame. Maybe not thorgast but instead something else. Of course if its ultimatly not worth it i can understand it but i don't see why many people see it as a con. For somebody that does want to play the game even remotly serious a 2h investment per week should not be to mutch in my opinion.
Timegating and Renown-gating (or Rep-gating) the story content is the absolute worst. Also, needing arbitrary requirements like killing Denathrius to get access to the finale of the Bolvar given Torghast storyline is unnecessary. It would be less of a problem if LFR wings came out week by week instead of every two weeks. Spoilers are everywhere and it's almost impossible to avoid them all. If you don't Raid seriously and you play mostly solo, you are screwed. WoW has been going to the direction of emphasizing RPG story gameplay for forever now - it's not just a sandbox MMO. If they don't make RPG focused games, all the Warcraft story fans will have to consume the story through WoW. Let them do the story and that's it. You should of course encourage them to participate in other activities, but that can't go in the way of storytelling.
Also, they talked about the philosophy of altfriendliness, yet Conduits are still not account-wide. I'm not really a spec switcher, I love leveling alts, I'll just have multiples of the same Class to play different specs. It's fun for me that way. I have a lot of Conduits on my main that I'll never use. Yet, I'd love to have them on my alt of a different Spec but I can't - I need to refarm them which is tied to heavy RNG and could take days or weeks. Legendary powers are account wide at lest though! (Again, inconsistency.) An option to skip the Maw intro would be appreciated as well.

Thanks Box!

I hope so too. If they just refine the reward systems and add some cool world content this xpack will be in an incredible position!
I think the basis this time around is great, and if we get enough content and fixes to the major problems, we'll have a great expansion on our hands!
Well done and interesting video and crittique!
Great job on the video.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Keep it up
Why Evo in Maldraxxus armour?! I thought he had team up with sexy fairies! And Bolvar face at 2:58 made my day)).
He's got to keep up appearances, can't have everyone knowing where his true allegiances lie ;)
@@evozor5874 Well, if anyone do, he could always tell, that it was a Henry idea).
as a pvper this expansion is amazing as i personally love doing rated arenas with my pvp partner to push rating :)

@@evozor5874 ty :) and yeah pvp vendors are amazing, hoping they add badge vendors so i can have fun in pve as well (edit: correcting some grammar)

I agree with a lot this. The expansion has a good amount of issues but all in all I think it's a move in the right direction.
torghast and the maw are both brutal, super dull, lackluster rewards
Yeah, hopefully they can turn those features around with future updates.
