Paraguay is one of the friendliest and safest countries in South America, and it is very cheap, the country that is growing the most economically in South America. I hope you come back soon and visit the Monday Falls, cities like incarnation, there are many communities of Germans and Japanese. There is much more in gastronomy and one of the most beautiful musical genres is guarania, which is a musical genre in Spanish and Guarani but with European instruments, as you will notice, the vast majority of the Paraguayan population is mixed race and white, I wish you the best. I am Paraguayan, from Paraguay
Friendliest yes, safest? Absolutely fucking not. Is super dangerous in the center mostly at night. Y should go to what we call interior of the country, You gonna find something to do and see. Here un the capitol of our country there's not much things you can do really. The tourist side of country is very wacky and not much exploited
@@klen1390 jajajaja Vivo sobre santa Teresa y comparados con las otras capitales de los otros países de Sudamérica, Asunción es un chiste. Capaz vos no sepas porque no salís ni a la esquina de tu casa pero bueno
Something that always happens to tourists who try paraguayan food is that vendors never tell them that chipa and mbeju, for example, are usually accompanied by coffee or cocido, with or without milk... Same with sopa paraguaya, which's better with foods such as an asado or another main dish (just like the mandioca or yuca that Reyka likes so much). That's why when eaten alone, they may seem a little dry or tasteless... Hope you can come back soon and experience more of this country! ;)
@@WyattandReykatotally true, all the things u ate shouldn't be eating together.. like chipa and mbeju are the equivalent of bread for breaks fast, gies with sweet beverages, and sopa and mandioca goes perfect with salty food in general

I'm from Brazil and been following you guys ever since you've been here and I just want to say that, while Paraguay isn't the most exciting place to visit in South America, its definitely the most interesting country to live. I'm just waiting for my father's cancer treatment to end and I'll definitely be packing and moving there with the little family business, or start a new one entirely. The safety, the fair taxes, the fair prices for food, land, imports, the friendly people... everything makes Paraguay a great place for those of us who are tired of working to sustain a very big and corrupt government. And people say there aren't much there, which also means lots of oportunities. They're enthusiastic with inovation, jobs and wealth creation immigrants bring, and hopefully I'll be one of these soon, giving my two cents to help develop a country that appreciates its hardworking people, unlike Brazil.
Daw you’re so sweet!! Thanks so much for following! We are loving South America 🥰 We are so sorry to hear about your father’s cancer treatment. That sounds absolutely brutal to have that happen to a loved one. We hope he gets better!! And we hope it’s a great move once you eventually move to Paraguay! Paraguay is one of the most interesting countries in South America, if not the world. First of all, it is bicultural--everybody speaks both Spanish and Guarani. Second, it has a fascinating history. One need to read up on it to fully appreciate what one sees. Third, it has a marvelous arts scene. When I visited a gallery I couldn't buy just one painting. I bought two and I wish I could have bought more. Someone from US Embassy told me that whenever people from the US visit Paraguay they always end up gobsmacked by the high quality of Paraguayan art. And the food is very good.
Yes! We loved Peru! 🥰 Unfortunately, we weren’t able to visit any of the art, but we love the food, enjoyed the people, adored the sights. Can’t wait to come back.

It is actually true! Paraguay has it struggles with corruption with their politicians, but still that doesn't change the fact that it's civilians are one of the most kindest and welcoming people.

to be honest, I can understand why it is one the least visited countries in S. A... It seems very boring and uninteresting, compared with places like Peru and Brazil...
It was so nice though! 🥰 So fun to visit. Sure it doesn't have Rio or Machu Picchu, but everywhere has something to find. You just have to go looking! 🤗

@@raquelgutierrez79 Hey, Raquel! That's awesome :D. Unfortunately, I'm in war against dentists due to my choice of artist name haha. Jokes aside, I'm not a dentist but an artist, music producer, mixing and mastering engineer. Saludos desde Asunción!
@@WyattandReyka Now I've noticed two small things for correction: 1:07 - Instead of "Hueatia" it should be "buen viaje", basically meaning safe travels :) 14:16 - It should say "los pájaros son geniales". While you guys use the word "sick" meaning something is awesome, the translation is literal: "los pájaros están enfermos" --> this means that the birds are sick (regarding illness). Everything else is on point
Pastel mandi'o and pajagua are made with 'mandioca,' which most people call Yuca, not with flour. Chipa and mbeju are made from corn flour and starch. We usually accompany chipa and mbeju with coffee or cocido (a traditional Paraguayan drink). We usually eat soup with a meal for lunch or dinner. I loved your video. I'm glad you had a good time in Paraguay. There are many beautiful places in Paraguay such as Encarnación, San Bernardino, La Colmena, etc., that you can also visit. I hope you can come back soon!
Hi, your video is awesome! I like your presentation and comments! Your energy is overwhelming! Just an FYI, at 7,40 you mentioned the triple alliance war. We have to remember that Rutherford B Hayes, president 19th of USA was pivotal at renegotiating a deal so Paraguay could regain part of their land in the Chaco province. Again thanks, keep up the good work!
The reason why there is no obligatory passport control at any of the three frontier post/ cities that make up this border zone, if you take the local bus service, which does a continuous circuit of the three, is that locals cross the borders in every direction without let or hindrance as Ciudad del Este (Paraguay's second biggest city) lives from duty free shopping, smuggling and shoppers entering from Brazil, and to a lesser extent, from Argentina. Smuggling is widespread and the border is uncontrollable and it is not in Paraguay's commercial interest to do so. It is tolerated by all three countries. Lots of illegal money gets laundered here too. The real frontier controls are 15 miles within Brazil, and likewise Argentina, where police and dogs will enter buses and check documents, shady looking foreigners will receive attention even if they look gormless and innocent. Paraguay doesn't really check anything as there is no reason to, they make money from all the shenanigans.. Dogs once detected drugs on an Argentine bus I was travelling on the route Cordoba> Posadas>Puerto Iguazu> Iguacu Brazil>Onwards to Sao Paulo. The bus was impounded, our bags unloaded and sniffed and the bus company was found to be doing the smuggling; maconha packed into the drivers cockpit at Posadas. We all hung around and waited for a clean bus from Argentina to take us onwards to Sao Paulo. great fun not! You have been warned...
@@WyattandReyka I recommend a place that I visited in 2021 in Ibaraki Japan that looks like heaven on earth because it is covered in blue flowers. The park is called Seasid Park Hitachi and blooms from May to June.
Paraguayan here, you guys definitely have to try the meat here, the "our way", ASADOO. I'm also from the Germans that live here, not really German but yeah, this country is very rich in culture.
Paraguay has many beautiful places to visit outside Asunción, natural landmarks, not man-made. But the one thing that most tourists mention liked better from our country is our hospitality. Maybe it's because we don't get the amount of tourists other countries in the region do, so we are super nice to the ones who come. Anyway, if you have the chance of coming back, you should visit cities like Aregua, Atyra or San Bernardino. PD: the expression "landlocked island" is atributed to Augusto Roa Bastos, Paraguay's greatest writer ever, winner of the prestigious Cervantes Award
The most important thing about paraguayan food is context ;) mbeju is nicer on a cold day with cocido (kinda like a yerba mate tea) sopa is better with asado, chipa is so good when on the road and pastel mandio is a yuca empanada which is good always!
Hello guys, how nice to see you walking in Paraguayan lands. It is gratifying that you have visited us It is a green country with very friendly people.
The traditional dishes are best accompanied with mate cocido, bc they tend to be on the drier side. Like a a "traditional breakfast" would be the chipa or mbeju with mate cocido.

Hey great review! I am flying to Asuncion in November (then to Uruguay) and honestly I didn't know much about the country, but it's been on my bucketlist. BTW, I especially loved the food reviews. I have tours lined up for 2 days and the rest I will be on my own to explore.
So awesome! You'll have a great time. 🥰
Enjoy the tours and the food and soak it all up! We hope to go back one day!

Hi I loved the video because you visited my country! Go shopping 🛍️ the shoppings are soo nice!
Daw we are so glad you loved the video! We will try going shopping next time we are in Paraguay 🥰🤗
You wont see anything if you don't go off the beaten path...like eating out, don't just try the restaurants try the local village eateries, that's where you find authentic in your face prepared local cuisine...don't be tourists ,be travelers, explore!
Great to know!! Thank you!! 🙏🥰
to be honest, I can understand why it is one the least visited countries in S. A... It seems very boring and uninteresting, compared with places like Peru and Brazil...
It was so nice though! 🥰 So fun to visit. Sure it doesn't have Rio or Machu Picchu, but everywhere has something to find. You just have to go looking! 🤗
Welcome to Paraguay I’m from Paraguay San lorenzo 🤯🤯
Epic! Paraguay was really fun to explore. Thank you and cheers 🥰
@@WyattandReyka enjoy!!
Always! 🤗
I was thinking about going over there to film some videos but that 160 dollar tax I gotta pay is wild.
Which 160$ tax is that?? You should go film so videos we'd love to watch! :)
I’m just here to confirm you do not look Paraguayan after the haircut 😂
Hahahaha daw but I wanted to do soooooo bad lol
les falto probar el chipa guazú es parecido a la sopa paraguaya pero esta hecha con granos frescos y tiernos de choclo (maíz) también el cocido quemado con el que se acompaña el mbejú. Bienvenidos!!!

Aw!! Paraguayan born/raised in the US here! Rohayhu Paraguay! Bolsi was a good choice
That's awesome! 🥰 Glad to know we went to a good restaurant there! Cheers and hope you enjoyed the video!
Thank you so much for this video! I'm going there in two weeks and also entering by bus from Brazil, and didn't know what to expect. There's so little information about this country and especially for tourists! Your video was super helpful, thank you! (And on to your Uruguay video now, as I'm also going there after Paraguay 😂). Hope you guys continue enjoying your tour of the countries! ✨️
Howdy Mitch!! 🤗 we are so happy our little video was useful for you! And yes, literally so little information hahahaha. And have fun in both! We are currently up in Nicaragua actually. So much work to edit all the videos hahaha.
Please email us with any questions about either Paraguay or Uruguay! We enjoyed our time in both 🥰 our email is us@wyattandreyka.com
@WyattandReyka thank you so much for the reply! Wau Nicaragua! Really looking forward to your video 😄 (yes, must be so much work...🙈 thank you really for the effort 🙏🏻)
It’s our pleasure!! And reading the comments and seeing that you like our videos really makes it all worth it 🥰🥰🥰
The bolsi is a good place to eat any food but no paraguayan tipical food. Maybe the next time i can cook for us good asado and paraguayan tipical food (sopa paraguaya, chipa guasu, soyo, tortilla paraguaya, mbeju, chicharõ huitî , cocido quemado, sopa so’o, pastel mandi’o, pajagua mascada, etc. Thank you for visite us. My country is your country and we always wait for you with open arms.
Great advice! We heard bolsi had traditional food but next time maybe we have to go somewhere else. Do you have any suggestion?? 🤔😘
You guys are so cute!❤❤

OMG! I’m looking at your profile name and just wondering if you are in dentistry?? I’m from Paraguay and I’m a dental hygienist. Saludos
@@raquelgutierrez79 Hey, Raquel! That's awesome :D. Unfortunately, I'm in war against dentists due to my choice of artist name haha. Jokes aside, I'm not a dentist but an artist, music producer, mixing and mastering engineer. Saludos desde Asunción!
We loved Paraguay! It was our pleasure to come hang out for a while 🥰
Quick question: were the subtitles good? Did they make a lot of sense or no?
@@WyattandReyka They make 100% sense, great job! ♥
@@WyattandReyka Now I've noticed two small things for correction:
1:07 - Instead of "Hueatia" it should be "buen viaje", basically meaning safe travels :)
14:16 - It should say "los pájaros son geniales". While you guys use the word "sick" meaning something is awesome, the translation is literal: "los pájaros están enfermos" --> this means that the birds are sick (regarding illness).
Everything else is on point
Muchas gracias
A ti!! 🥰
Can you drink the tap water there?
We didn’t! Just bought bottled water
3:04 "yuca" automatic dislike
Is it not yuca?? 🤔
Good video bro 🇵🇾🙌🏻
Thanks brother! 🥰
Loved the video you two!
Thank you Justin!!! ❤️🥰 we are hard at work editing more 😘
12:53 I've been there two!!!!!!!!!!!!
You’ve been everywhere!
Welcome to Paraguay, I’m sure you both had a great time there ❤
Terere; It is a drink with Cold and Hot tea
There is one more thing! Personally, you would be invited to a family bakery named Kitchen Vidad.
We did love Paraguay!! It is such an interesting, unique country. Thanks so much for watching our video 🥰
Thank you so much for the information and for watching!! 🥰 we loved exploring Paraguay
Are you still in Asuncion?
We are back in the United States now! But we head to Nicaragua tomorrow 🥰
La próxima visiten el interior de Paraguay ❤
We will! Any specific recommendations?

Hola estaunidenses hello
Hello!! 🥰😘
Thank you! 🙏❤️ 🇵🇾
And that’s crazy!!
Welcome❤
Thank you!! 🥰😘
This country seems flat. 😅
Haha flat geographically or flat boring?
@@WyattandReyka flat boring😴 lol.
@@IanBynoe-it6ni we found it interesting! And we were only in the city. Heard the countryside is excellent for bird watching
Hola!un dia estuve en el mismo bolsi en el cual comieron, saludos por visitar mi pais❤
Que chido!! Es muy buena la calidad de comida allí en bolsi 🥰
Hi Guys 👋im from Paraguay and I Love Paraguay is the best country in South America 🇵🇾 Greetings from Paraguay 👋🇵🇾
We love Paraguay! That awesome it’s your home. Cheers 🥰❤️
Super interesting and potentially useful! Thank you for sharing 🥰😘
パラグアイ😍🇵🇾
Very nice country 👍🤗
@@WyattandReyka I recommend a place that I visited in 2021 in Ibaraki Japan that looks like heaven on earth because it is covered in blue flowers. The park is called Seasid Park Hitachi and blooms from May to June.
@@WyattandReyka search and see photos on google that might interest you about this place in Japan that few media know about
Nice video 👍👍👍
Thank you!! ❤️🇵🇾
Paraguayan here, you guys definitely have to try the meat here, the "our way", ASADOO. I'm also from the Germans that live here, not really German but yeah, this country is very rich in culture.
Super good to know thanks for the suggestion 🥰 we’ll try to keep that in mind next time we’re there 😘
6:32 It is true, most of the tourist we get are mostly just other Paraguayans from other cities which is always funny 😂
Hahaha very interesting. So locals travel throughout their own country? That seems pretty fun 🤔🥰
So cool and great things to know!! 🥰 cheers and thanks for watching our little video! 😘
جيد جدا ماشاء بلاد حلوه
11:16 pastel mandi'o has a dough made of yucca (manioc). That's the point of it.
Oh it’s made of yucca?! That’s so cool!
The most important thing about paraguayan food is context ;) mbeju is nicer on a cold day with cocido (kinda like a yerba mate tea) sopa is better with asado, chipa is so good when on the road and pastel mandio is a yuca empanada which is good always!
Next time we're in paraguay, we'll get the mbeju with cocido and the sopa with asado! Thank you s much for helping us out! 🤗
That country seems very chill (not in temperature but vibes).
Greeting from The Republic of Luque!
Super chill!
Hello guys, how nice to see you walking in Paraguayan lands. It is gratifying that you have visited us It is a green country with very friendly people.
It is very green and people are very friendly! Huge too. Can’t wait to come back
The traditional dishes are best accompanied with mate cocido, bc they tend to be on the drier side. Like a a "traditional breakfast" would be the chipa or mbeju with mate cocido.
Really good to know!! We’ll have some next time we come 🥰 thank you!!
🇵🇾🇵🇾🇵🇾❤
🇵🇾🇵🇾🇵🇾
u gotta do inside tourism in paraguay and see the real beaty of the country has to offer, the capital its barely good compared on what u can found on other cities of paraguay
For sure! If we had more time we would’ve. Thank you 🥰
Yes,yes, yes with ketchup and the empanada with bread 🖐🖐🖐
It needs some ketchup!! 🥰
