That scenery looked like a place where Adam, hoss and little Joe would hang out. Beautiful
It’s close… north shore of Lake Tahoe is the bonanza ranch site
Good News: North of the 951-mile marker on the Pacific Crest Trail, there are effectively no miles of trail that are above 10,000 feet. The high-elevation sections are primarily located south of this point.
Lovely to hear you joyfully laughing. As Chesterton quipped, "I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder." Shine on!
Thanks!
I've been watching since Mt Laguna. Glad you made it this far in good condition. When you get to Ebbets Pass, face due East and wave. Mine will be the nearest house, just 16.7 miles away. I'll be waving back in spirit.
What a great video Frozen! You captured so many great moments! I’m sorry California is making you guys suffer so, but it’s much needed water.
By the way, it’s pronounced two-wall-o-me. Just in case you wanted to know. Be safe you guys!
I think after your PCT episodes I'm going to go back and watch the AT videos again 😅
Too all o me. Hope youre headed to yosemite,.dont miss it
Donohue is the last high pass and Lyell canyon after it is such a treat. Great milestone!
Absolutely beautiful but since it's my backyard I'm kinda biased. Been hiking the Sierras since the late 70s and I'm still amazed by them. I'm glad you are getting to experience them. You got thru at a great time. This week is supposed to be in the 90s up there so hopefully you're about 100 miles north by now.
What a beautiful land of suffering. Such magnificence. Your smile just can’t be more infectious. So good to see the wonder and enjoyment of this adventure
Don't sleep on desolation wilderness. It's an incredible spot to take in. Also, the meadows in Yosemite are phonetically pronounced
Too-all-um-knee
I say Twall-um-knee, but that is just picking hairs.
@@russellinthebush2897 the n is silent from what I see online
@@raymonahan3741 this is a funny one/ i see a lot of people here writing it "me" not "knee" and also yeah "Twall" seems more like i recall than "too all" and i could swear when i asked a Ranger years ago it was "knee"/ not very pronounced, but there... . Seems like there are a lot of us regular tourists who get it slightly wrong
Watched frozen at thru hike, and every episode of this one. And will watch the rest. Good luck man.
It's all about experiences, achievements, memories. That's all we will ever have. Love watching this. Well done.
The rounded mountains are from the glaciers. Any sharp, pointy mountains were above the glacial action. Fun fact: Yosemite has more granite domes than anywhere else in the world. Glaciers are also why Lyell canyon is U-shaped instead of the typical V-shape.
thanks
The beauty of this section is insane!!!
You're hiking in a Bob Ross painting.
The basalt columns are amazing.
Beautiful stretch of trail and the Tuolumes
so happy you got to experience Lyell Canyon (the area below Donahue with the river) without snow, and that for the most part you at least got to hike in daylight and See the Big part of the Sierras/ thanks for taking us with you
Beautiful and you r doing great ..keep on keeping on..❤
Just breathtaking scenery. You're a great videographer Jason. 💜 From Sewickley
South of Tuolumne Meadows and Lyell canyon are some of my my favorites in Yosemite NP. So much quieter than overcrowded Yosemite Valley ❤
The scenery is spectacular!
The backgrounds look like paintings. I miss that place 🐻🌲
Awesome country side to be hiking through! Keep your chin up and put one foot in front of the other. You can do it!! It’s ok to say you miss your family every episode, we all understand!
WOW that's some beautiful country you're hiking through, thanks for sharing your journey with us, always puts a smile on my face watching your videos. I've been watching you for awhile being a NWPA hiker, but somehow missed your Lupus diagnosis and knowing what a struggle those autoimmune diseases are makes your smiling, optimistic approach even more impressive, love your laughing at how beautiful it is, continued best of luck out there!
I have to say you have one of the most enjoyable vlogs on YT ! Looking forward to the next chapter.
Wow, lots of water crossings in this one and the views were beautiful. Good to see Bigfoot was okay after his spill. Hike on and be safe!
Ah, the smiles after that last pass! Good to see. Continued safe travels.
Can’t wait to do that trail one day and document my journey there ! I’ll definitely be posting my videos on my page! Cheers from Nevada Desert 🏜️
I love you have slacked down of the "cheesit", jeezeit, jesus, or whatever we you say, either way keep up the good work and keep on hiking
Thank you for documenting your journey in the PCT. I feel like I'm there. It's a dream of mine to hike it.
I hope your knee gets better and its not anything major. Sucks about your shoes getting holes in them. The scenery has been spectacular!! Bear canisters are a real pain so I’m glad you were able to be done with those. Hold your family close to your heart and continue to be strong!!
Falling in can be Cool to!
What beautiful scenery!
❤delicious scenery ❤
Absolutely beautiful scenery!
That meadow😮
love the additional music! Fits well with the content.
Scenery is so beautiful. I've been following you since you hiked the AT and am enjoying your adventure on the PCT. Your videography is awesome!
River at 14:00, clear as day!
that area is unreal beautiful and if you can ever get to Yosemite/ the area you refer to is only a few flat miles from the parking lot, the bridges he stopped at are about 1.5 mile. So Hard to get a permit to backpack but not difficult at all to day hike
Wow, those blocks at Devil's postpile look like parking lot bumper blocks at first viewing
Love all your videos. Im from that area and we always pronounced it as too WAHL uh mee (Tuolumne) Meadows. We always used to go fishing and camping around the Tuolumne River area.
save the shoe replacement, find shoe goo, it will repair your shoes. seal tears, holes, reseal, on almost any fabric, IMHO a must have on the trail
I have the exact Topo shoes. Only had them about 45 days and hiked Mt LeConte in the Great Smoky Mountains around 12 miles. They were great! Got home and the midsection of tread fell off. Topo finally agreed to replace them. Love the shoe but the wear.
SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!
They changed the bear canister rules as of 2022 and your required to carry them all the way through desolation wilderness until you get to Donner Pass/Truckee so double check before you head out of Kennedy meadows north. Hike on! Marmalade pct 23’
What a beautiful day! Thanks for sharing your journey with us!
Make your own post cards to sell
So real! Thank you for yet another awesome vlog. So beautiful out there and your enthusiasm is so wonderful through all the ups and downs. Thank you.
Wow! Great views!
6:26 that looks like supination to me. Btw, I threw some coins in your backpack.
Thank you!
Keep going you got this!!!
Another beautiful episode!
Ouch! Hope the fall wasn't too bad!
Approx how many miles on the topo before it blew
You are about to pass Road Runner.
Two Ollum Knee :)
5:20, 7:30, 12:34, 14:06, 15:37, 18:08
Oh and that Snow Grouse. : )
Absolutely gorgeous! Wondering why everything is still snow and ice covered in June? Is it always around this late into the year?
Too-aa-luh-mee❤
You need an old person’s trick. Vitamins daily. On top of them get calcium, magnesium pills daily, it’s efficient . I used to play soccer, it’s tough on the bones. Those vitamins worked…
I was wondering how many calories you need to consume in a day? I am guessing you hiked the AT before you had kids? You are doing really great! We enjoy coming along on your pct hike.
Yes before I was married and before kids. At the beginning you start with about 3000 calories and keep moving up from there based on weight loss. I'm at about 3800 now.
Is Bigfoot enjoying the US? Will he return home after the hike or does he live here now? So thankful for these videos.
Try moving your thumb left and right…if it hurts doing that it’s probably tendinitis. That tendon along the lateral side of the hand can be a bear. Medical person here…just so you know.
Hurts more on the tendon by the bicep. Thumb movement feels fine
I am going there in 3 weeks. When was this shot? Still so much snow?
it melts Really fast this time of year. You'll see some on the peaks, not much. note the Valley is only 4000ft and it melted months ago/ Toulumne Meadows area will be starting to turn brown but still lots of water. I'm backpacking Yosemite Creek in august myself, such a great Park./
It's pronounced Two OLL um mee. If you pronounce the "n," the locals will laugh you right outta town. By the way, that tear in your shoe is why I shy away from spending a hundred and sixty bucks on trail runners that only seem to have about five hundred miles in them. I'll stick with my medium-weight hiking boots and I'll wear Crocs at stream crossings.
Thanks!
Videos are awesome. Amazing... terrain is just beautiful but man it looks rugged and tough. Well enjoy a little town treat on me. Cheers. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
