3:03 made watching this whole video worth watching . the build quality of the mercedes in this era was so far ahead some new cars still cant come close .... love ur vids ur very blessed to handle such pristine & exotic cars . keep it up !
i recently bought an 03 w208 clk430 and i love it! i bought it a few months ago and use it to drive everyday to work an hour away. needless to say, within about 3ish months ive put 10,000 miles on this ol girl and shes getting up there with ~161,000 miles. very reliable and comfortable. and i bought her for a steal! $1500!
I want one of these just like this. Is it hard to maintain these older Benzes? I know they started cutting corners and increasing their profit margins drastically around the Daimler-Chrysler merger times back then. I’m a bit scared to purchase anything manufactured while George W. Bush was in office. From what I’ve heard you don’t want to buy anything from Daimler Chrysler before 2010 or else you’re going to be afflicted with a money pit.
Do not buy any Merc after 2003! I have owned loads of older mercs...and also newer models....my worst was a 2010 e250 Wagon..WORST CAR EVER ! It drove like a KIA...and the engine blew up. My fave is the W202 I have owned for years....the chassis and build quality is a bit heavier and more sturdy than the later cars. These W208 cars use a w202 chassis and they handle very nicely and are smooth as a Merc should be! so do not worry...JUST BUY ONE which has a good history..low ownership and enjoy!
@@thomashumber9762 Thanks for the advice. Owning a W208 CLK has been a dream of mine for a long time. Finding a decent low mileage example may be tough now, but I’ll keep looking. Do you recommend a 320 or 430 over the 55 AMG?
@@gedaman tough question. Best to not set ypur sights on a specific model...but on the right car with good history and low miles. A 430 is a great car in a clk...as is a 320....the amg models...hmm...bit overkill for the road I feel.
"And that V8 just gives that added litle bit of something that makes life wonderful"
