Would love if you made a tutorial video of how you made this. Great video btw.

That’s what I thought it was, too! Nice strap, but show how you did it!😫😁

I’m planning to make a crossbody sling strap like that. How much paracord did you use for everything? Thank you in advance.

+LeSedici those stock straps suck. always cutting into your neck. this diy one kicks ass. Definitely worth making your own.

Hey Josh, I have noticed that you have woven some cords in a few places. That is fascinating work! Looks almost machine made. (which I mean as a high compliment because whenever I do something by hand it seems that an automated machine made thing always looks much better!) What I would like to ask you is: Is the weaving you do related in any way to the nautical weaving I used to see on ships? (You know, the decorative woven rails, lanyards for piping etc.) I used to see that kind of "work" all the time but never ran into anybody who actually did it. I was wondering if you learned how to do that in the Navy. I always admire it when somebody does any kind of craftsmanship like that. Nice job.

Thank you for the kind words.
Yes it was the Navy that guy me started.
It it's called macrimae not sure on the spelling.
What was on hand rails and hatch handles is called whipping. Generally French whipping.
Not only is it decorative. It provides better grip dry and wet, with the added bonus of your hand not freezing to the handle in freezing weather.
Most of the deck apes and especially the old board are good at this.

      Thank you.
The French whipping is it was on all of the hatch handles and ladder rails
