Very well done! I particularly appreciated your honest comments about finding a faster way to cut the yarn, and ordering a rug from Target. You didn't provide too much detail and also didn't leave out anything critical.
Thanks for being honest in your videos and not making things sound as if it's a fairy tale wand-swishing thing, that's highly appreciated. Now when someone attempt this they'll know exactly what they're getting into
You are a perfect teacher. You give your viewers all the information they need without having to hunt for it "below ". Your voice and manner are lovely and calm and you talk at the perfect speed. I love needlework and an so happy I found you. 🥰
I used to make these, one little trick I learned was if you wanted a pattern on the rug use a design printed on graph paper or buy a cross stitch one, it allows for reference points and you can see what goes where.
I love your pattern and idea. I'm making a rug for the bathroom, and I loved the way you created a cardboard for cutting the yarn. Keep on creating new patterns. Mine has all kinds of colors from scrap yarn, with a big cross near the center in red.
Good evening. This is the first time I come across a well informative Channel. This is what I was looking for mat/rug/ carpet DIY Channel that teaches how to make from beginning to end. This was a Blessing in disguised. I Thank GOD for sending me straight to your CHANNEL. May Our Almighty GOD strengthens your work and Bless your Gifted HANDS ABUNDANTLY. I'm going to SUBSCRIBE to your CHANNEL because this is what I was looking for all along. I'm learning to make rugs/mats and this is of high benefit to me. Kindly do a Tutorial on how to make carpet/mat/rug using a crystal yarn/bearded yarn. All the Love and greetings from South Africa.💖💖
I love how neat yet realistic your work process was and how it turned out. I am so done on other tutorials with messy stitching or shortcutting the process (using hot glues on rug making, like seriously) that probably wouldn't last a day or two or definitely become useless after washing it. The outcome of your project is very nice, I also sometimes took several weeks on completing a project but its all worth it. Keep it up.😊P.S. I love the minimalist aesthetics of your room!
This was a very informative video for a beginner like me. I didn’t realize I already had all the supplies because I expressed some interest in the craft last year. I am ready to use up all this extra yarn! 🤗
Thanks so much😃 for your video, I've learned a lot so far. I'd been looking high-n-low for videos on latch hooking. You've shown how to do it more easily explained. And showed how to do original designs. So THANK YOU. 👌👏
i used to make latch hook rugs when i was a kid all the time, i was probably in the fourth grade and that would have been, oh, the late 70's, i guess. back then, another thing that was a crafty thing was string art, basically nailing a million mini-nails into a piece of wood and wrapping string around them, though it never quite worked out -- one nail fails out and the whole thing is a disaster.
I made a rug for my niece and I think she was I. First grade before I finished it. It was hard work mine,I was making it for the babies room Before she was born. It took way too long to finish but it was beautiful.
Nice! Thank you! I’m about to start a vintage latch hook rug kit that I bought online. The design has a cute cat in it. The yarns are already all cut but I’m still scared of it being a daunting task. I make slippers out of that same yarn and we love it but it does start to collect it’s wool fuzzies and needs to be maintained every few months. Nice job piecing the two together! That’s not easy to do. Also, very smart edging! I crocheted a rug and don’t know how to add a canvas backing. So I’m searching UA-cam for some ideas.
Rug hooking is really time consuming. I've hooked a couple of rugs, and by the time I finished, I gave up the hobby. Thought there had to be a easier way. Rug tufting!!!
Most acrylic rugs can be machine washed, but you'd want to put it in a front-loading machine on gentle to make sure it's not going to damage it. You might also want to put it in a zip-up pillow case just in case your yarn sheds.
your room is lovely! I can't wait to try this! I bought a rug like this from Urban Outfitters but it just wasn't the right colour, now I'm so excited to customise one of my own ♥️
How well has the canvas held up? I’m reading reviews on some canvases and in between the smell of some and the fragility of others, I feel I’m destined to not find a good canvas >_
Loved, "Halfway through the project, I ordered a shag rug from Target"
@Layne Kye 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haha too much work
😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This rug is such a vibe. The effort is a lot but the results are so worth it.
Your honesty feeds my soul. Plus, thanks for the runner idea instead of giant area rug. Does the same thing!

Soo much work in this. It looks amazing
it's a tedious process for sure, i remember that as a kid doing kits. but, the effort only makes the pay-off that much more worthwhile.

I always loved latch hook kits as a kid so I have to try this! Your way of creating the little yarn pieces was super useful ^^
This is incredibly educational because I’m hoping to make a Poptart rug for my next apartment

I love it!!! My only question is how do you wash it? I would like to make one for myself.
Thank you for the question, I want to ask too
Truly beautiful 👍 nice work 😀.
Hola! Me encanta tu trabajo, con qué nombre puedo pedir la malla?, la aguja ya la tengo.
Hi Jenn,
This video is great. This is of interest to m because I am a carpet layer.
Omg. There’s way easier less tedious ways to make a carpet. I praise your patience bc I could not do this lol!
This looks amazing! Thanks for sharing it with us!
It's beautiful. I love it.
Lovely piece. How long did it take you to complete it?
that looks really pretty. Thanks for the video
Amazing work..... But... Is it washable in washing machine?

Hi 👋 I love your videos✨ and I really wanted to know if I could use waste macrame for this project?
Hi, I'm not sure. I don't see why not. Although, I used a lot of yarn to make this rug. You may want to test it out on a small rug or wall hanging.
your room is lovely! I can't wait to try this! I bought a rug like this from Urban Outfitters but it just wasn't the right colour, now I'm so excited to customise one of my own ♥️
Thanks for the tutorial 🌻
Big respect.
Excellent work
This is an amazing work ! Big thumbs up !!!
Can you sew rug pad/backing on the back side of rug or glue it on the back side of rug?
Thank you 💕🌹🙏
i loved it!
This was so helpful and well put together thank you!
How is the rug pad attached? Is it also via the whip stitch all around the edges?
That looks great 👍🏻
How well has the canvas held up? I’m reading reviews on some canvases and in between the smell of some and the fragility of others, I feel I’m destined to not find a good canvas >_
It's beautiful I like the design
This rug turned out beautifully! Also, weird question, but do you remember the name of your flooring? I'm redoing my room and I love that look!
Nice job! I used to make cute 1'x1' ones when I was a kid. Yours is much nicer!
Well done 👍🏽
Wow, gorgeous!!
Really interesting and easy to follow some good tips
Can this be machine washed?
