When I did punch needle back 15 years ago the back is what we would show. I do like the reverse now too but I’m used to the more fluffy backside being the “correct” side.
A beauty! Two questions: 1) is there a way to make a knot at the tip of the thread on the back of the art? It seems it might come to the front side if there's no ending blocking. 2) how do you wash it when it's dusty or dirty? Thank you!
I think this piece is absolutely gorgeous ! I love your choice of colours. I love the patterning with the soft wavy lines and the different stitches that you used ! Where can I get this pattern ? I would LOVE to make it ! I'm also wondering if you can explain how you copied the pattern onto your fabric ? Keep the video's coming, as you most definitely have a gift !
I don't have a pattern for this design but I'm planning to make then soon, I use a fabric pen to draw the design onto the fabric. The tools I use are in the description box, I'm glad you liked the video 🌿 😊
@@MrsBrit1yes actually took me many videos to understand this as a lot of videos didnt ever show the shaggy side and i was like why would i waste so much yarn to make the back side? Cos you can make that same with just sewing if you wanted it flat?
Hello! Ur work are just AMAZING and inspiring! Did you glue all the behind work ? Or did you let this like that after u cut all the extra ? Thanks for the answer! ♥
1 Don't use staples...They will eventually cut the canvas. 2 Why are we seeing the back? The whole point of lunch needle is to see the loops. If you want embroidery, why waste so much yarn making loops? 3 It's fun to do ....I used to do it in the last 80s/early 90s. The texture created is so fun!
Your work is absolutely beautiful. However, I am a bit confused. Other punch videos show the way you do it is the back of the design, and the puffy other side should be the front. Can it be either way? The other videos I've seen show working from the backside. I like the look of yours, though I'm new to punch rugging, and wondered if it was just done as one prefers?
@@leandralavanda thankyou for responding. I happen to have a few yards of that. I found some hoops today at a 2nd hand store. Can't wait to start. Again Thankyou much.
pretty sure it is actually monk’s cloth, and the artist is referring to the general term “canvas” like we’d say “surface” or the like in American English.
I am looking to find out what tools theses are, type of canvases I am looking at a Santa pattern to make a very large wall tapestry like this. Any advice or help is appreciated.

Amazing pattern.. I love this color too..😍 I have Little clarification.. Need any knot at the starting of the punch ..? You are trimming the excess thread at the end., So will it come out when we pull the end.. ? Please clarify
This was my concern as well. Surprisingly it doesn’t. I’ve done a pillow case cover with punch needle some 30 yers back. Only we used the loopy side for the front. It looks like thick carpet. It stayed behind in my moms home. It is still being in use and doing great. I guess the yarn gets stuck tight in the fabric. You can undo it if you wanted to but It’s not that easy done. You’d have to pull real hard on the loop.
hola!
Lovely punch needle work and classy, mellow music. Perfection.
Absolutely beautiful!
I like the back side after it’s been trimmed. It looks more 3-dimensional.

The picture is beautiful and the finished product is looking awesome, such talent you have
I’m new here and will be sure to look through your videos to find how to make the canvas. A beautiful finished piece.

how is your canvas not loosening up during the course of the project?
BRAVO !!
Ohh something i havent tried. Going shopping for a punch needle. Is that just canvas or broadcloth for backing?

I’m new to this. They said can only do punch needle on monk/poke or aida cloth. Was it difficult to do it on canvas?
pretty sure it is actually monk’s cloth, and the artist is referring to the general term “canvas” like we’d say “surface” or the like in American English.
What kind of material do you use? Is it cotton?

I just bought a punch needle kit where I punch needle a woman's face on a tote bag. I cannot wait to get started.
Soothing
Beautiful! I heard the canvas can tear or needles can break while punching but I want to punch on my canvas I'm scared if it'll work or not
Hi! You need to use a cotton fabric like monks cloth, I have a video on how you can make your own canvas: ua-cam.com/video/44Fz_lmZv88/v-deo.html

hi! you don't need to make any knots, the fabric holds everything together 🌿
how do you keep it from pulling out?
Thank you
This looks so simple, I am trying it but it is opening
Wow beautiful how long did it take?
thank you!! it took me a few hours!
