I need something that can play metal if I want but also go soul and slap too. You answered those questions! the stealth reviews were positive however the basswood body didn't sound quite as strong and resonant to me, but that could simply be how they recorded it! It really is a sick looking bass that stealth too... Its hard, i'm finding, primarily being a guitar player over the years, to find good quality bass reviews. You pop in a guitar and there are seemingly hundreds of guys, stores etc giving a review on it, but not so for the bass....Your channel stands out - i'm glad I found you!!! Thanks man!!
I bought mine like 10 years ago, I still go to it as my first choice for a jam or a gig, love the action on it and the one thing that got my attention was the Fat Round Sound. Believe me this Bass has Boom”
Saw this bass, and had to buy it!! Love the inlays, and paint!! Just an update, just finished band practice with this bass!! WOW!! Plays fantastic!! Great tone too!! Its nice to have not only a great looking bass, but one that plays like it does!! Very happy with the purchase and now looking at the other lines Schector has to offer!!
Crazy good value/bass. Just got one. You mentioned they're are set up from the factory... I played 10 basses at guitar center from $200 ibanez to $2400 musicman. The schecter was the only one with a nice low action. Quality is amazing good for the price. Just as good as my American musicman stingray.
I have this bass. It came with both Alan keys, truss and bridge. Other than the no battery compartment, it's a solid bass. A bit tricky on the knobs. Took a while to find a good medium for metal. For under $500, it is a bad ass bass. For about another $100, they have a Stiletto Stealth. P/J, Humbucker. It looks sick. Not sure if I should buy that next or a $600 Spector. The neck is similar to a Jazz bass.
I'm ready to upgrade and I've pretty much got my heart set on the 5 string version of this in the same black cherry finish. The only other bass I'm considering is the LTD B-205SM that's around the same price.
I'm a Spector guy but I love all basses tbh as long as they got a set up and a meaty sound . Tuning to the low 4 strings of a 5 string I would change the nut and string it with a bead set of strings might need to adjust the saddles too but it'll be super clean.
Hey, as far as the bridge goes. What is the screw hole pattern. I'm thinkin about picking one of these up. I have a hipshot Kickass bridge on one of my lesser used, less desirable basses that I'd honestly like to swap with this. Is it the typical 5 hole pattern or does it look like I'd have to plug and drill some holes? Hey man, also did you have to widen the nut at all for your thicker strings that you use for BEAD? I tune to drop C and some of my instruments I've had to and some had not issues accepting a thicker string. Not that it's a big deal, but would be cool to know ahead of time. These are starting to pop back in stock places and I think I'm gonna pull the trigger. Gorgeous looking instrument, and from the sound of your review, everything matches the good looks equally.
Not sure what model or year mine is. Pawn shop a few years ago ($125). It’s got gold bridge components (I say components because each saddle is an entirely separate. In other words the bridge is not in piece). Plays great...neck trhu.
Sounds like it could be one of the studio models, although I'm pretty sure only the fanned fret versions of the stiletto studio have the individual saddles. Weird.
hey. I dont have it on me but it's a standard size for most guitars, hit up a guitar center or just bring your Bass to a hardware store and have them look at it. They'll get you the right one so you dont strip it. Good luck 🤘🏾
Hey brotha, I think I've had that Ibanez, it's good in an all around way. For me honestly you can't beat the Schecter for the money, it's the only bass I use, check out some of my music vid on this channel, it's all the Schecky. I like the Anthrax, Overkill "clank" metal bass tone but with more low end and the Schecter can do it all. You won't be disappointed. -R

Yes. I had to shimmy the
.125 low B string into the nut, just a bit tho and it is a gorgeous Bass for the money!

I believe Kramer d1 is better than the both with original Emg (or SD) pick up, ebony fingerboard, in the same range price or maybe cheaper.
