A review of the Master Grade Zaku II 2.0 in the WHITE OGRE colors. It also covers MG Zaku II 2.0's in general since they all are pretty much the same kit.
This is my first review, so feel free to ask questions and tell me how I can improve. I'm hoping to do one of these every couple of weeks. It's kind of just an excuse to buy more model kits lol

Why does this have so many more views than the rest of my videos? So weird. Is it because it's the oldest? Are Zaku's just that popular? Or maybe it's that sick pink and cyan Arial font I used lol

i've been looking for a white ogre review for a while now. awesome review, keep up the good work!
You missed the sliding cock pit and dual hatch doors and used the mono eye gimmick and in articulation. Other than. That, I agree with you on almost everything......I have 30 MG Zaku in the lineup, 22 of which are 2.0's. You can't beat this kit with any other 2.0 out there except Hyaku Shiki.

I love the standard Zaku Ver 2.0 range of models because they make a very good high kneel pose. The High Mobility variant ones though make it impossible to do the same good high kneel pose.
The high mobility ones are the best ones.

The kneeling pose is better than anything I've ever seen, it is glorious
The regular MG Zaku 2.0 Type-C was my first kit back in march and a great introduction to Gunpla, I've been hooked since!
There is no mg version of Type-C. only J, F, S and the high mobility types.

Man, so humbling to see where these things started out. I remember shooting this in one afternoon with a little tripod I borrowed from school. So crazy seeing how far something like 'reviewing Gunpla online' can go given enough time and effort. I'm really happy I started this channel. Thanks for watching this old video!

A adjustment to the fingers is you have to cut the connecting fingers to give him individual fingers

Thanks! These kits don't come with any waterslide decals. They're a combination of dry transfer and peal and stick.

I don't know if you read all the comments or not, as you are pretty prolific with your videos nowadays... but, I noticed you had an unboxing and speedbuild of the Kotobukiya Sol Hornet kit, but no review I can find. I'm not asking you to do a review, per se, but would you recommend it? I'm so on the fence, and keep going back and forth between Zaku 2.0 and that kit.

...but I think you've got the wrong guy lol. I don't have any Kotobukiya kits, and I haven't done any unboxing type stuff yet..
I will say I really love these Zaku 2.0 kits though. They're some of the best model kits Bandai has to offer. So I'd recommend this one lol. From what I hear, Kotobukiya kits are kind of hit or miss.

My favorite Zaku 2 is still the F2. 08ms team version for the zaku 2. The chest piece looks beefier in my opinion.

The CJ hobby mono eyes look awesome.
Have you built any of the high mobility types? The leg articulation seems hampered by the extra thrusters but that MSV look is so damn cool! If you've built one of them, let us know, please!
Igloo really isn't that bad. It was worth a watch. Very different.

lore wise whats the difference between the J and F?
The J is the ground type, and is the one featured in this review (be it in white instead of the usual green) and the F is the standard Zaku used in space. In terms of build, they're almost exactly the same except for a slightly altered backpack and number of vents on the lower legs.
I'll probably want J versions then if I invest in the ez8 and ground gundam (to make an 08th MS team display)

You should apply weathering to this Elmer Snell's Zaku 2..and apply those decal too.. I already done it mine.

The commander fins are for the standard zaku and the high mobility zaku, they both appear in the anime :)

Yep. Bandai regularly re-releases older kits. This white zaku isn't produced as often as the regular zaku and Char's zaku. But every few months there'll be a restock.

Would you be willing to sell the bazooka ammo containers if you dont like them? you show them at 6:22 and said you didnt know what they were. i wish bandai would sell just weapons for MG kits by themselves.

These are indeed the best MG kit ever made by bandai in terms of everything, sad it ended here.
How are the pegs for the weapons
Pretty solid. They're not too thick either, so it's easy to pop in and out the weapons. Compared to those 3.0 Gundam hands that take forever to get right lol
I have the normal J type.. And they are comparable to the old trigger finger split on the ground gundam. The pegs are 100% pointless and can't hold jack. I will probably fix it like I did the Ground Gundam drill and hole and screw the gun in.

5:29 I don’t think you’re supposed to hold the MMP-78 all the way out. We tend to see the butt of the stock shoved up to the arm, and it being held in both hands.
I actually copied that pose from one in the manual. It's in the color pages, in the weapons section.
It probably would work a little better pulled inwards though.

Yeah, all MG's have one, so not really worth mentioning imo. It'd be sort of repetitive over the course of 20+ reviews.
RedHeadphones6 they’re the selling point for me tbh. and some are done differently with different figures etc. Idk I wish RGs had them too. Very detailed review tho 🙂

Which ones? I really didn't have issues with any of them, outside of them being kind of boring builds.
I just found my own for $15 just missing the grenades and the commander antenna.
The two barrels on its back skirt is bazooka amunitions.

Lil Russ Not sure about igloo, but I’m referring more towards the original anime, which didnt have a bunch of caution signs muddying up the design. Just clean, cheap 1970’s anime lol
not sure if they have all of the caution stickers in the OVA, but sure the huge gecko one is on it, it is like his personal sign(and for Zeon advertising their military power)
Yea, like I said in the review, I don't really care about Igloo lol. That cgi was too much for me, so I wanted this to look more like a Zaku from the 1979 anime, thus didn't use the Igloo specific decal. I just made sure to mention it so people that did care knew it came with it.
We need a master grade ZAKU II v3.0

I like your reviews. But i think I'm the only one who doesn't need/want a zaku in my collection . Idk why im not into grunt suits.
