Hi Paola, I really learned a lot from your video! I am currently reading the books you recommend. I don't have a design degree, but I want to pursue this career. Any tips for me? I'm really bummed out about the degree requirement.
hey i just graduated college trying to put my Portfolio together to find work.. can i ask you a question that really kinda freaks me out? does AI scare you? like it's gonna put designers out of work? i gotta say it kinda worries me even though one of my instructors said just learn to work with it..
I know it can seem scary! A lot of designers are working with it though, as well as choosing not to use it at all. I personally think designers are going to work with AI, not be replaced by it. There are still a lot of opportunities where real people are needed- I wouldn’t stress too much! x

what website builders/hosts (like wixx or squarespace) would you recommend for making a portfolio site that looks nice but doesn’t cost a lot of money to have?
Would graphic design be a good field to go into considering everything going on with AI? Plus I’ve heard the field is losing its demand and that there’s a lot of job loss…
I personally don’t see AI replacing designers to be that big of a worry! But I get why it’s frustrating. I also think a lot of job markets are tough at the moment, so I understand your concern. I still think there is a big place for design jobs across all other fields so in choosing your next career move weigh out the risks and rewards! Everything is hard but not impossible!

You don’t really need a degree to be successful! My tips are to take the initiative to learn design in your own way
