51:50 I agree!! Men need to be shamed for abusing
When I was in an abusive relationship, I left. I sought divorce and didn't look back
I didn't have family members to help me out so I had to have the courage to leave
It's the fear of change that holds you back. As far as I'm aware when you're being abused and the man is not providing you can seek khula and leave. You do not need to stay in a relationship where you are being harmed because Allah says He has FORBIDDEN oppression upon on and also said "Save YOURSELF and then your family"
Also you need to heal the belief that you're unlovable. Usually we attract abusive men trying to subconsciously heal our fathers. But you can heal and find a good man

wow thank you so much for sharing!! I completely agree with the fear of change that could potentially a factor. it is a huge loss a woman looses so much. but the positive is she can equally gain so much more

Awwwww you did great hosting this. Always enjoy your content on the bitter truth, so it is great your doing your own podcast now. A lot of podcast tend to over look ensuring all their guest have same amount of time to contribute so it was nice to see you giving both guest equal time to contribute. Wishing you many blessings for this podcast and may the context you produce continue to educate and be engaging.

After moving to West Africa I learned the west has marriage all messed up
Here marriage is meant to strengthen families and society. Its normal for men to be away and women working together, to build communities
It's not perfect here but, the women here have so much wisdom and feminity. The society is calm, and slow paced which I feel like why marriages are failing in the west
Another thing I've noticed is Muslim men are shaming women into getting married, because they have unhealed traumas with their mothers and fathers
They're expecting their wife to be their mother or replace that motherly role
From my experience of being in an unhealthy, unhealed marriage to now being married to a great guy
The big thing I've noticed is the men who speak good about their parents and actually fear Allah and LOVE SERVING are the good men (you can see through their character by how they treat people, their family) etc
Also, Allah says good men are For good women, meaning if you want to be with a good man, you need to be that good woman
Whatever you want in a man, make sure you are that yourself
Inner work is super important. Make sure you've healed your traumas and when you see a red flag, run.
A lot of men nowadays are not being initiated into manhood. Where I live, then men go through an iniation at the age if 10 where they hunt and learn how to provide for their man

  • @rosaleanbatool
    @rosaleanbatool Місяць тому +6

When we look at the ayah of marriage Allah says "men are the protectors and providers of women and women obey your husband"
So when we look at the verse, Allah is saying if a husband wants obedience he needs to provide for her and protect her
Just like Amira said some men want the soft life but expect obedience, but Allah said he can only expect obedience if he is doing his job
And also that ayah shows that the men that should be getting married, should be responsible. Marriage is NOT a solution to your traumas or your bad habits (which is why a lot of men are getting married for a maid, mother etc) 46:20

Loved the podcast, really enjoyed your perspectives individually! The only thing is, the sister on the right interrupts a lot and disrupts the flow of convo without letting people complete their point. It seems like she's super excited to get her point across mashaAllah but just a little constructive criticism.

I see that you are wearing Islamic cloths. You can't see your body shapes.
I just want to say that you should make sure that you also wear hijab in the correct Islamic way. I see your hair isn't completely covered. I see your hair in the front.
Don't assume that I am claiming to be perfect. We are all sinners.
I am just reminding you, because Allah says,
"And remind for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers" (Quran 51:55)
May Allah guide us to the straight path and Islam. Amien

Why encourage her in what she’s doing? Make dua that Allah guides her to do what’s best for her deen and her dunya. Our role models are the sahaabiyat Alhamdullilah, not this new generation of sisters who need to be seen and praised and constantly need attention Subhaan’Allah. Too many of our sisters are losing themselves for the sake of online content, and all others like you are doing is encouraging them to continue openly sinning, and being a fitnah for our fellow brothers and sisters. Let’s not sugar coat it. She shouldn’t be on here doing this and dressed like this as a Muslim woman. Islam NEVER changes according to our whims and desires. It is what is is Alhamdullilah.

Good initiative. A little feedback, respectfully. The sister in the red niqaab needs to learn to give others space. She was interrupting EVERY sentence of the others. It felt like it was HER show. Like, it was RELENTLESS. I noticed Amira continuing to try to speak and finish her sentences, but the sister just wouldn´t get the hint. I´m sure she´s a lovely sister, no offense! But we can all learn, and insh´Allah the sister will be able to reflect without feeling attacked. She´s our sister in Islam, and I respect all my sisters. We NEED Muslim women on the forefront, heard and visible (hijabis, non-hijabis, niqaabis and even ex-Muslims), so I hope that my feedback isn´t taken negatively. I WANT to see you all successfull.

    Salam Sisters
One of the last points the sister suggested to go to the Imam to resolve it what if the imam is the perpetrator of it too.In my locality theres not 1 but 2 of them if not more i do not know of leading rhe community rather hypocritically and its all buried under the carpet because it's a 'personal, private issue' according to the committee.!!?

I liked watching niqaabi sisters included in a talkshow like this. Even though, sadly, I went from admiring niqaabi sisters to avoding them and nearly fearing them. They are often part of a certain "sect", and when I got to know them closer, I felt sorry for what they´re roped into. My experience started in the U.K, where these sisters would cover their faces even during sisters only gatherings. They were sadly all, not only involved in polygyny as a rule (rather than an allowance of war-times), but they would actively try to rope in other sisters into it (especially converts).
A few things I noticed in all of them was speaking profusely for men´s rights, but being silent or dismissive regarding women´s rights...never using their real names, having been married several times, and an intense need for pleasing their husband ( even if he´s wrong and serving his lust in the name of Sunnah ), as well as them all being on social benefits, but talking trash about the country they live in. Where I live, these people have even got together to try and run their own nurseries.
All of the people in this certain sect don´t use their real names. It´s always "Abu this", "Abu that", and "Umm this" and "Umm that". Now, even some of the men have started covering their faces (even during Nikah), so when they leave one woman, her brothers don´t even know his face nor his real name, thus not being able to even find him when he runs off to marry additional women.
They also have their own version of Islam, which they call the "only true one and original". In that tradition, men believe that they don´t have to tell a wife if they´re about to marry an additional woman. Nor do they have to tell the new woman that they already have a wife and kids. It´s very deceptive and cold, but on the surface..they´re very careful in "looking" like religious people.
So my point is...seeing niqaabi sisters in a talkshow like this is good! I hope to be able to leave what I´ve seen, insh´Allah see them as just individuals.
I wonder, would you dare talking about this? These people have ruined quite a lot of lives, and they leave these "co-wives" bankrupt with many children in social housing estates across the country. Why aren´t more of us Muslim talking about this? I think it´s important, especially since these people don´t seem to care that their deeds affect the impression of all Muslims, because non-Muslims who lose their daughters to such sects do not understand that they are very niche and not at all the average Muslim.

Should you be going public with your personal life like that ?
And is it right, the person concerned does not get a chance to tell their side of the story.
Please, try to be a strong person from refraining from publicising your life like that.
If someone is being criminal and breaking the law, report them to the police.
We shouldn't constantly be seeking people attention to sooth us. That's not how healing works.
