I never actually own myself a guitar, I’m already planning saving up to get one myself. This one looks pretty fun to learn. And I sure do enjoy listing country music.
There's a song called "Boom Boom" by John Lee Hooker that has that exact same riff in the beggining of it. Crazy how just playing the notes at times can make the riff change genre completely.
Yeah well... it's played a bit differently in John Lee Hooker's playing!!! The man could move an entire crowd with two notes played repetitively , the right way!
If someone gets this down you will be able to learn “ wish you were here “ by Pink Floyd pretty easy . At least the intro ! It’s so close already to what hes playing I can’t not hear it good stuff

Thanks! Yes it is standard tuning. Each song is played in a certain key. This lick is for a song played in the key of G. It could be any song, some songs it wouldn’t work for because of the tempo. I hope that answers your questions. Thanks so much for watching.
@@FretmoreGuitarLessons no problem. im a beginer. so, to me, a lick, is something quick i could show off to a friend, say in a guitar shop. so, could i pick up a guitar in a shop - do what you did - and sound ok? (no idea about key)
I'm a beginner and I already got the notes but the speed is going to take awhile especially with these sausage fingers any suggestions on guitars that could help me with that
Just learn to play it really slow until you have it down and gradually pick up the speed. Always focus on playing clean first, speed will come as you progress.
@@brettadkins4968 yeah I did and it's helping to now I can't stop that sound in my head and that's all I can play not that I'm complaining also I just got this electric guitar and it sounds more awesome

Great picking Sir.

Thanks I appreciate it!
This guy kicks !!!! . Picked it up right away
Thanks David! Glad to hear it.
For a basic guitar player, I really appreciate this. As simple as some think it is, it's so cool to me!
Thanks Chris! Some of the most iconic licks in country and rock are simple.
I love these type of songs and lessons 👍😀
Thanks!

Hey Latisha, that is a great song. I did a lesson on it but no cover. Do you want me to make one?
TY I'M EXCITED ABOUT TRYING THIS AS SOON AS I GET TO MY JUMBO
You're welcome! Sounds good, it's a fun little lick or itty bitty ditty as I like to call 'em.

One tip. Play it thru at regular speed first to give us an idea of how it should sound whilst you teach it

Hundreds of tunes use variations of this. i.e. Smokestack Lightning.
I don’t doubt it. I’ll have to check that one out. Thanks!
Very cool
Thanks brother!
That is an E minor lick in the second position leading into a G cord. Do the same thing with an open position E cord, it’s a standard blues lick.

That’s the lick to Pink Floyd’s wish you were here
Hey Tony, I’ve had a few people mention that it sounds like it. I need to go listen to that song.

Thanks Teresa!
Pretty much the lick from farming simulator 22's intro music. Weird that I'm seeing this. I literally just eared this out this morning.

@@FretmoreGuitarLessons great song! same lick on the 4th and 5th string. Pretty cool
That’s real close to a Tesla song! “What you give”
Is it really? I would admit to stealing but I haven’t heard the song. Lol! Thanks for watching!
I've had a different in mind. To me it sounded very similar of the Band 'Heart' Crazy on You. Anyway, that was an awesome tune, keep it coming! 🙌🏻
@@ChadwickDickinson Thanks, I love that song. Maybe my subconsciousness picked it up. Lol!
Wish you were here by pink floyd?
It is similar but I hadn’t heard that song until after I did this video.
Almost thought he was going to play wish you where here I'm tired .....
