EDITED. Mark and Jim go over the things that make the SportCopter M2 so unique and then fly the beast. Our previous video on the M2 can be found here: • Jim Vanek Interview at...
I’m looking forward to him/them coming out with a 4-place capacity ~ x-country touring model; the back two seats could be optional but the space remains. Maybe something like the ‘flying-car’ they’ve got a drawing of or maybe the old Hawk-4.
I have been researching Gyros like a fanatic lately, I love the concept. I haven't seen any other Gyro that can do what this M2 can do... is it being released to purchase anytime soon? I saw the video with the AM12 engine, that would be my personal choice. What engines are offered with the M2? What are the prices? Can you assemble the kit on location? What about training? This is the machine for me! Keep us posted!
Generally after having watched one of ur episodes, I come away feeling not only that I've learned something, but that Ive flown the episodes star with u and I've experienced the subtle difference of control to keep safe while flying it. Not this time,,this guy didn't share his understanding of his machine. Not ur fault,,thanks for the attempt though.
We were there to fly the M2. We did a previous video that talked about all the features of the M2. We'll put a link in the description to that, and it is below for your convenience. ua-cam.com/video/g_uhmG9GcBQ/v-deo.html
How short can it get off the ground at gross weight with a smooth surface and no headwind? Also, the website indicates that it can go beyond LSA weight restrictions. What weight has it been flown at so far. What's the estimated time until kits could be available and have any prices been established yet? What's the build time? Any plans on a future factory built S-LSA?
You can put a small luggage bag under the seat and the reason he was flying that close was for the camera you can fly as high as 10000' but there's nothing up there there's no cameras up there he was doing it all for the camera and the drone on the ground
They are not our machines, and we weren't trying to sell them. Jim's not a professional "on air" personality and was simply trying to contrast what was different about his machines.
Why was he taking off from the taxiway and why cant that think climb. The whole time it looked like he was flying at an altitude that would make recovery from engine failure impossible. Not the sort of flying that you would want to demonstrate your aircraft in my opinion
Hi Kieran. Rest assured that the M2 can climb. We flew low so we could get the video. It was all planned in advance. Jim is an advanced pilot, and we completely trusted his abilities to keep us safe. The take offs and landings from the taxiway are standard for this airport and keep the gyro separated from the heavily used runway.
@@skywagonuniversity5023 thanks for taking the time to reply and clearing a few things up. I’m happy to hear that the taxiway departures are standard at the airport in question. Perhaps you could add a disclaimer about demonstration flying. I am interested in seeing some hot dogging at low level around the circuit but I’m also keen to see how fast it can climb with two people on board. A shame that the flying display didn’t demonstrate more of the aircrafts flying capabilities. Hey t does look like a wonderful machine.
What a great machine, informative video too, thanks Skywagon!
Glad you liked it!
So nice, we get to see it twice
In the immortal words of Vanilla Ice, "Twice nice, baby."

Great machine doing excellent flying 😊😊😊Only thing I don't like is side by side bumping shoulders😂😂😂

They are great machines but are still in the final stages of development.

I should have known, thanks for the link!

Hi John! Those questions are best asked of Jim Vanek. Jim@sportcopter.com.

Great Video. I have heard that guys take these camping, but where do you stick the luggage?
There is room on the floor, under your knees. It is limited though.
This is an impressive machine. I'm shopping for a two-place trainer. I've send my contact info to the company.
Flying in it was a real treat!
And the out the door price is...????
About $130,000
I've seen this already...?
We made a small edit. You simply can't keep the same link on UA-cam.
"Like my competitors"... negative selling is a weak method for trying to sell your machines.

There will be more videos of the M2 in the future. We think it is a fantastic machine.
