      Vasily Custom Builds you're off to a good start. I'm trying to tell you what to do just a suggestion. Something you could try if you don't already have one an air powered angle grinder with a 3in disc with a brown pad on it. the cheapest I found them is at Harbor Freight or possibly online maybe. the brown green and the purple disc pad is good. but the brown cuts the best and fastest. it would really smooth your welds down better than a grinder or flap disc o grinder and acurate. They're so accurate I have machined tops of carburetors down with them and you can put a level on them they're so clean and accurate. Orinda small four-stroke gasoline engines I am too I have them on a lot of machines and equipment and vehicles. If you're interesting and starting up with propane or running propane message me I've always been gasoline. But it always leaves black carbon. wear, tear and carburetor rebuilding down the road. What's cool about propane the carburetor can die and you can add propane and still keep getting it I even took a carburetor off a little 9 horsepower engine while I was rebuilding the carburetor and ran it on propane. It ran at an idle and wide open. I'm not too good at texting I do voice command I talk and it prints it out for me. I use an average BBQ tank in a about a 6ft lead spray it into my gasoline engines if it get flooded or not want to start and I start up with propane. Also you could run your little engines on gasoline shut them off with a little plastic valve and run propane on them. And when an average 20 lb BBQ tank on my 2200 wattduel fuel propane and gasoline generator will run 19 hours at half an idle. And I can put the generator with a bag down under the generator in my backseat of my truck. Because it doesn't have any gasoline in it just 12 oz of oil in the crankcase. I've never used gasoline in this little generator so far. Message me back if you're interested in converting over to propane or actually excuse me running dual fuel propane and gasoline. You're pretty mechanically inclined it's really easy to convert to propane you can buy those expensive propane conversion kits. but you seem like a guy that uses a lot of different engines and builds all kinds of things so this conversion is a lot easier in one will fit on all of them it's Universal. Also gasoline can be hard to start propane it's not hard to start as long as you got engine spark plug fire and propane down the intake it will run. And propane Never Comes Out Of Tune and generally they say a propane motor last two to three times as long as a gasoline motor will. And the motors are super clean in a propane engine no matter how rich or lean you run them. also the spark plug oil and inside of the engine and muffler are super clean.

      Vasily Custom Builds I don't know how to do a UA-cam video. Or print and paste stuff in the comments section. Or I would send you the simple stuff how to hook up propane I'm sure you could do it you do more than that. Or if you want to call me over the phone I can call you or you could call me. I could tell you how to do it it's a lot easier. Once you go propane you won't go back to gasoline on the Little Engines. And starting big gasoline engines it works great too. You just wouldn't want to start a 2-stroke with it or if you did you might be wearing on the motor sex propane doesn't have oil in it. But it probably wouldn't hurt it just to start it with propane.

    Fine job, I have been spraying furniture for 40 years, learned to keep it simple, buy a cheap $20 cupgun, a gal of lacquer, + laq .thinner and some 180 s paper, add 80% laq. 20% thinner, after you spray empty cup, always and add a lil thinner, and trigger gun . Do not disassemble gun. You will find out how wonderful it can be, light prep. By hand,and spray, lacquer is your money maker, trust me, you can make any piece you spray look so good, and it drys so fast, trust me, that's what I'm good at, can't weld at all, good work young man, I appreciate you. Ok

    Enjoy seeing a younger guy cutting and welding etc. expressing himself through a creation. I would just add as a tool and die guy that has had to dig steel bits out of my hands and eyes a couple times, wear safety glasses at the least always when cutting, cleaning etc. only get 2 eyes.

    Might as well ignore what I said 😂 you learn fast as hell. It's awesome to see some people with common sense and self awareness. It's awesome to literally see the learning progression in the video, and see someone else have as much ambition towards this profession/hobby. We're a dying breed so keep it going strong 💪💪
    Side note: also nice to see your heart through the video, very gentle with the little bird and caring. You're an awesome guy, don't change man 👌 you've earned my sub

    I did this with the same exact scooter but I used one of them Chinese 79cc CAG motors that they put in the pocket rockets. I got one with the blue flywheel cover and it looked really slick all put together. I took it to the liquor store for some smokes and on the way back, I was able to pass people in cars that were going at least 30mph. I cut the silencer off of the cheap run of the mill expansion chamber pipe that they make for that engine and I think some of the debris made it back down into the exhaust port. I think I'll bring it back to life after watching this. Also, yours looks like its WAY snappier. Im jealous.

    Idea for a new video: Make a mini camper looking like a scaled-down-truck from a scooter engine (like in this video), a differential fit for it's size and weight, to have two powered wheels in the front, and a front cabin where the driver to be protected from rain and snow, and make it a 4-wheeler with wheelbarrow wheels (which are bigger than that scooter's wheels) or even small scooter wheels (if they're cheaper, for the size). It would be a lot more expensive, and would need a bigger engine, but you would have a mini camper in which you could sleep, or a mini-truck for carrying cargo. You might even be able to fit some cheap motorcycle suspension, to make the ride smoother. I do think a lot of the parts could be second-hand, and having access to a scrap yard would surely come in handy. And I'm sure there are people who would buy one for themselves. Just look at the pod rider, on google images and/or youtube, and imagine the long-truck version of that, just long enough for an adult to sleep in it.

    • @Chevy-tc9sf
      @Chevy-tc9sf 5 років тому

      Go to orchelns if you got one around and get you a simple 120-130amp 110-120 volt MIG and make sure you get Flux core wire. Costs about $200 total going the cheap way. I personally started on an Arc welder with 6011 rods and once I got comfortable I went to MIG and it was like spreading butter on bread it was so easy. You don't have to be a certain age to buy a welder and if you're young then ask for one for Christmas or your birthday haha. Good luck!

  • @giuliasprint67
    @giuliasprint67 6 років тому

    Great video!! Just a couple of tips:
    Metric bolts aren’t stronger than sae bolts. It’s just a different unit of measure. You have to look at the grading of the bolts to determine “strength”.
    You need to put more tension on your chains. This is why they keep coming off/breaking/rubbing. There should only be a few millimeters of slack in the chain at the center point between the two sprockets. Yours always seem to have an inch or more which is really bad.
    Keep up the good work! Great channel!

    • @VasilyBuilds
      @VasilyBuilds  6 років тому

      giuliasprint67 Great advice thank you! Need to tighten the chain. I was told that finer thread bolts hold more force because of less steep angle

    • @giuliasprint67
      @giuliasprint67 6 років тому

      You are correct that finer thread bolts have more holding power. The thread size is called the thread pitch of the bolts. Metric vs SAE (inch etc) is just how the bolt heads and threads are measured; not a reference to their strength or actual thread pitch.
      For stronger bolts you want to look at the grading of the bolt. Like a grade 8 bolt vs a grade 10 bolt.

    You could of probably fit a 212 on that with some mods and you would have 45 mph scooter😂

      Eric Coen 79cc retails for 99.99$$ 212cc retails for 114.99$$. they don't let you put 20% off coupons on engines so I bought mine full price

      Thank you for the advice because this build is going be hard to do the bolts are rusted on and it's for the engine so I need to figure out how to get that off I didn't even get it off today but I probably need WD-40 and leave it over night

    I just did the same thing with a Schwinn scooter and an old pocket rocket engine. Waiting for master links to give it a full test ride but from the little ride I took it has a crazy amount of torque. Full throttle going like 15-20 still pills the front end up. I'm not gonna have much of a top speed though like yours

    • @VasilyBuilds
      @VasilyBuilds  6 років тому +1

      Awesome !! Only thing mine is missing is some torque. Those 49cc 2 strokes are just slightly weaker than a stock 79cc

      I just love the torque they give out for so small of an engine. Plus they're only like 52 bucks for a brand new engine on eBay
