What does this mean for Hailie Deegan, she is being groomed to advance in each series via SHR. So does Hailie remain loyal to Ford or does she jump ship in 2023 and join Dodge and SHR. Hailie is suppose to run 6 Xfinity races for SHR in 2022 and then go full time in the Xfinity Series in 2023 driving for SHR. I guess it all depends on how Hailie's contract is structured with Ford and how much input her sponsors have in the change. Tony Stewart and SHR have been keeping a close eye on another female driver based out of Florida, Brooke Storer, Brooke has over 150 featured wins, 8 track championships, and 5 wins in the Nascar Whelen All- American Series. She mainly competes in the Florida based Wheel Man Sportsman Series.
So stupid to blame this on Ford. They've had great success until this year. Nascar changed rules on the rear quarter panels, that really hurt Ford and Stewart Haas especially. So why will they dump Ford? Nascar also froze parts last Fall. Chevrolet had finally found some speed in the Camaro right before the freeze, so Ford was stuck and couldn't change anything in the engines or the body. They will be back and so will Ford. IMO, Tony Stewart is spreading himself too thin. He already had a NASCAR team, Sprint car team, and owned race tracks. Now he's adding an NHRA team, the SRX Series, and it appears prepping to bring Dodge back to NASCAR. That is a ton of work and a lot of moving parts to manage. Hendrick and Gibbs aren't all over the map like that. Penske built his empire slowly, over decades.
