@@veggieplot They are great thanks Chris, I spotted another cat face and nipped it immediately 👌 Back to monsoon season now, so the outdoor tomatoes are languishing in the greenhouse 🙈😭 think I will pot them on 🤗🌱🍅🏴
Thank you, they're currently doing the transplant sulk which lasts a couple of weeks before they start to take off. I think that gull in your video was in my garden last week too 😂
Uluru Ochre was bred by an Australian, Patrina Nuske Small, one of the two original creators of the Dwarf Tomatoes and the Dwarf Tomato Project. It's named after our big rock in central Australia. Pronounced Oo loo roo.
@@veggieplot I haven't grown the Uluru ochre, but I have tried quite a many others. I am a member of our local seed saving organisation and we have a specialist Dwarf Tomato Project seed saving group. Patrina lives not too far away and has joined our meetings a few times for taste testing at the end of the season, and has talked about the history behind many of the tomatoes. Orange cream is a favourite of mine.
Thank you, I hope so as I've treated them like my little babies, haha. Good luck with your tomatoes this year, I am sure they'll catch up as the season progresses.
Oh wow, how many flowers you've got on the tomatoes 🍅 already 😮 Growing Sungold Select this year too and grew Uluru Ochre last year...or the year before 🤔 It had huge fruit, but a few issues with the fruits themselves so I didn't think it was worth to repeat.....hope it grows better for you 😊💚🌿
Toms are looking fab, look forward to updates on their progress. I’m growing mine in a greenhouse and also got Alice’s Dream etc too. I’m about to use Autopots and Biobizz with mine. Although, I got a pang of doubt when I saw the FBB and chicken pellets go in😂. Loving my Kitchen Garden Record Book, so helpful. Thank you!
Autopots look fantastic, do you add a feed to the water system? Everyone seems to get great results from them so I'm sure yours will be good too. I'm glad the record book is working out, let me know if you have any questions.
@@veggieplot Thanks Chris🙂. The Autopots have worked out great over the years and the main pro’s are obviously consistant watering, avoiding overwatering and the plants take only what they need. Thus avoiding blossom end rot and cracking. I’ve never followed the correct methods for feeding and just chuck it in🤭 but will follow the instructions this year! You can add to the reservoir, which looks a bit of a faff tbh. Alternatively you can add to the pot tray once a week, which I shall do this year.
You'.ve had a very productive day there Chris😊Did you see that Huw is experimenting with keeping the side shoots on his tomatoes for a while? Will be interesting to see what the results are. The Alice's Dream and Striped Stuffer seeds you gave me are growing really well. Growing them in the conservatory. Still no success with spring onions so have given up with those!😀
I didn't see that video but he gets great results so a follow up will be interesting. He might have the space for it too as I imagine they're going to get very bushy. I'm glad the tomatoes are growing well, just remember that the Striped Stuffer are best stuffed and roasted as they don't have much flavour.
@@veggieplot I will remember that thanks Chris. I think Huw is keeping side shoots on for first 6 weeks and then pruning off. I have never had much luck with courgettes in pots but have grown Soleil this year after watching your videos. Looking really good so far 😊
Excellent clear advice and knowledge, that only comes with experience 🍅🤗🌱🏴
Thanks Lynda, I'm glad it was helpful, how are your tomatoes coming along?

You're quite right Tamsin, they produced some stunning tomatoes and I'm really looking forward to trying the Uluru Ochre, have you grown them before?

Great advice 💚👏🏽
Thank for dropping by, your peas are looking great, way better than mine 👍
@@veggieplot thank you, I've just netted them as starting to get pods on! Fingers crossed for yours, I'm surely they'll start to get better 👏🏽💚
Those tomatoes look really healthy and are way ahead of mine and should get a large crop of Tomatoes with all those plants.
