Maybe its just me. but there is something about Owen Smith that makes him untrustworthy.
I just keep remembering a young Tony Blair.

No, it's there for all to see. I started the campaign backing him, but he's been unconvincing and his EU stance boarders on comical. Overall better to give Corbyn the 2020 election, which he'll either miraculously win, or more likely miserably lose and can then be replaced by a better candidate than Smith. Sticking Smith in by contrast just means a reboot of the 'neither here nor there' Miliband leadership.

@@Da1Dez yeah and a second referendum was extremely unpopular in 2016, in 2019 it had a decent chunk of support (but obviously not enough lol). but going for a second referendum in 2017? Labour would have been lucky to get as many votes as the tories are currently polling at now in 2023

I am sure he will stay the leader of the Labour Party and I am sure he will be the next Prime Minister. Jeremy Corbyn is a man who has been working towards a fairer world in his whole life, he surely deserves to become the the next Prime Minister and he will make a great one.

Owen Smith. "Blah blah blah, Jeremy Corbyn bad, Blah blah blah, Jeremy Corbyn bad, Blah blah blah, Jeremy Corbyn bad."

Especially when he spends evry other second saying that the election isn't about one man, but since I mentioned it...Jeremy bad, I'm not Jeremy!" That's his platform; that's his position. He seems to feel confident that such a position is sufficient to secure his election. What does that say for his backers, and especially the PLP?

JC owned that debate. I hear Corbyn speak & its like conversing with an adult, whereas Smith just comes across as yet another slimy self serving windbag in a long line of slimy self serving windbags. Constantly points out how divided the party is & how he agrees with JC on many many things yet instead of respecting the vote of the members by uniting behind the elected leader to accomplish the things they agree on he promotes the division he lays at the feet of JC.
Just the same with his view on brexit. To hell with the democratic process we'll just vote again while making sure the murdoch media machine & the propaganda mouthpiece that is the BBC spit out enough crap to make the people do what the establishment wants.
JC for PM, time for change.
